Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  Color decoration process on silver glass and ice, shaped or not, and products obtained using this process.

     In the methods of color decoration on glass or on ice presently practiced, there is the disadvantage that the colors simply applied to the shiny surface of the support are easily detached, so that the effect desired decoration quickly disappears.

   This drawback is advantageously avoided by virtue of the decoration process according to the invention, according to which the decorative pattern, transparent or opaque,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 is applied to one of the faces of a glass support, after which this support is fixed by any suitable means on a surface of glass or mirror or other mirror-forming material, so that the decorative pattern is understood between the two aforementioned surfaces and therefore perfectly protected.

   Also according to the invention, the decorative motif is preferably obtained by cutting sheets of cellophane, the various colors of which make it possible to produce floral or fancy sets that are very interesting both in terms of furniture and advertising. Under the name of cellophane are obviously understood all similar products obtained by treatment of vegetable or other material.

   With a view to fixing the support of the decoration on the base forming a mirror, a material based on natural or synthetic resin or any other equivalent transparent adhesive product is advantageously used.

   Thanks to this new process of decoration, we can make many objects or articles, in which we especially seek the shiny aspect given by the silver background of a mirror on which stand out flowers or figures in shimmering colors. multiple, cut from cellophane sheets, transparent or opaque.

   The support proper for the decorative pattern, as well as the mirror on which this support is fixed, can obviously have any shape and any contour appropriate according to the envisaged application.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   These surfaces could in particular be shaped so as to follow the contours of the decorative motif, so as to constitute a truly artistic whole.
