<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

during operation of the support, the circuit leading to the selector.
An embodiment of the invention has been shown in the accompanying drawing by way of example. On the drawing:
Fig. 1 shows the schematic arrangement of the circuit elements and
Fig. 2 shows schematically the mechanical arrangement of the locking of the switch of the receiver-microphone support.
In this embodiment of the invention, a telephone apparatus of the interoommunication system is provided with three switching means, namely: a manually controlled selective switch S allowing the subscriber to choose any one of the lines S1, S2, S3, etc. connecting it to the other subscribers of the system, an RK bell switch, also manually controlled, operating in the usual way by means of a key or a push button as well as a receiver-microphone holder with switch, or hook switch SH , which works depending on whether or not the receiver is placed on its support.
To make a call, a subscriber chooses the line of the subscriber sought by means of the selector switch S, picks up the receiver's apparatus from its support and presses the RK key for the ringing tone. This key not only activates automatic ringing contacts, but also closes two LC locking contacts connecting the selector arm to the circuits of the device. These LC locking contacts are established so as to be maintained by a locking, preferably mechanical, controlled by the switch lever of the support.
The selector switch S, therefore, remains in the circuit until the end of the call, when the fact of placing the receiver on its support releases the locking contacts.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The switch holder has two sets of switching contacts C1, 02, C3, C4, C5, C6 and, when the receiver is lifted, said lever is also provided to disconnect a call buzzer B from the H end of the switch. the internal line of the device, and to remove a short-circuit on the receiver by means of contacts 05, C6 and also to close the microphone circuit via contacts C4, C5.
When the bell button RK is actuated, this latter, in addition to closing the locking contacts, also cuts through contacts RK1, RK2, the connection between the selector switch through the locking contacts. , and the circuits of the devices, and finally applies the voltage of the bell battery from the terminal RB, +, passing through the contact RK2, RK3 and the LC locking contacts on the chosen line.
Each device is fitted with a B buzzer; when the switch support is lowered, one of the buzzer terminals is connected by the closed contacts 02, C3 of the support lever and its own breaker contacts BC1, BC2 to the RB- terminal of the bell battery, while that the other terminal of the buzzer is connected, by the second closed contacts C5, C6 of the support switch, to terminal H of the interior line. In this way, when called by a distant subscriber, the current is supplied to the buzzer by the circuit going from the terminal of the interior line through the closed contacts 05, 06 and C2, C3 and their own contacts. - breakers BC1, BC2 and return to the terminal of the ringing battery RB- which is common to all subscribers.
When the called subscriber answers, the contact breakers 02, C5 of the support are switched. Contacts C1, 02 are then used to connect the buzzer to one of the SB- terminals of a common conversation battery, while contacts C5, C7 eliminate the short-circuit of the receiver R and connect
EMI3.1
the receiver and the buzzer to the microphone M, the other of which is connected to the SB + terminal of the conversation battery.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Thus, the buzzer's coil B, in the conversation position, acts as an impedance to prevent shorting of the microphone through the conversation battery.
The locking of the locking contacts by the support of the receiver-microphone can be effected electrically by the switch contacts of the support using a relay, although it is preferable to carry out this locking mechanically. In an arrangement provided for this purpose, shown in fig. 2, the LC locking contacts are actuated by a finger P extending horizontally from a lever D; normally vertical, articulated in K. The key or bell button RK is arranged so as to move the lever D and to activate the LC contacts; the lever is fitted with an RS return spring in order to return the button or key.
The support C is mounted or fixed on one end of a horizontal lever L articulating in F near its central point, and the other end of which rests on the upper edge of the lever D and is maintained in this condition by a light PS compression spring. When the microphone receiver is placed on its support, its weight is sufficient to overcome the action of the spring PS. If the resensor-microphone is removed and the doorbell button is moved, the end of lever L falls behind lever D and prevents the latter from returning to the vertical position, while maintaining thus closed the locking contacts until the lever of the microphone receiver support is lowered to release the end of the lever D.
