<EMI ID=1.1>

"Spinning and twisting spindle"
In spinning and twisting spindles known hitherto, provided with a rolling part bearing, said bearing or its housing is arranged in the spindle support, so that it protrudes completely out of the latter. Therefore, the pressure caused by the traction of the belt is not transmitted to the height of the bearing on the spindle support, and there follows a reversing torque which must be absorbed below the bearing by the spindle support. brooch. Because of this overturning torque, oscillations easily occur, which. must be compensated by additional complicated systems, in order to obtain a regular rotation of the spindle.
In addition, in practice, as a result of the loss
constant oil, and not impeded, it forms after
a short period of operation, a layer of harmful rust, due to the insufficient oil film between the fixed support and the flexible spindle housing. This results in wear between the housing and the fixed spindle support, so that it is no longer possible to compensate for the oscillations and therefore the shaft turns badly.
The oil which has risen along the rod of
the spindle when the latter rotates at high speed and which is projected outside, at the place where the spindle shank comes out of the housing, is never collected in the constructions actually carried out until now.
In the spinning and twisting spindle according to the invention, the rolling part bearing engages,
<EMI ID = 1.1>
that the pressure of the bearing at the height thereof is transmitted to said support. Therefore, we do not have
of reversing torque likely to cause oscillations and thus, without using additional parts to dampen the oscillations, it is possible to obtain a regular rotation of the spindle.
The drawing shows a vertical longitudinal section of an embodiment of the object of the invention.
The spindle rod I rests by means of a roller bearing 2, in the known manner, in a sleeve 3 which extends inside the spindle support. This spindle support 4 is provided at its upper part with a tubular extension 4 ', on which the sleeve 3 rests at the height of the roller bearing 2 and which extends beyond the sleeve 3.
It follows that the pressure of the bearing 2 caused by the traction of the driving belt 5 on the drive groove 6 is already transmitted to the height of the bearing on the spindle support and therefore no oscillations occur. of the spindle, as we have been able to verify.
Thanks to the tubular extension of the spindle support beyond the roller bearing, the oil projected by the rotating spindle is recovered. A continuous circulation of oil is thus created, which on the one hand greases the roller bearing, - which is not ensured in the known embodiments, precisely because of the continual loss of oil already mentioned -, and on the other hand ensures a durable oil film between the flexible housing
of the spindle and the fixed spindle support; it results
that the formation of the dreaded rust layer is avoided.
Instead of roller bearing 2 you can
as well provide a ball bearing.
