BOITES A PAROIS INTERCHANGEABLES POUR LA JONCTION (dérivation, rac-

INTERCHANGEABLE WALL BOXES FOR THE JUNCTION (branching, connecting

The branches or connections of the electrical conduits are made in small boxes to which the electric current conductors arrive and leave. When electric wires are wrapped in tubes or cables, boxes with small

all tubing (la, lb, lc, lè.etc.li S.1) that the end of the tubes or cables is inserted to fix them to the box.

However, as the varieties of connections to be made are very numerous, and as the positions of the tubes or cables in relation to the box vary according to the electrical installation to be fitted, the manufacturers of these boxes have limited their manufacture to a quianzaine ( approximately) of different "patterns", ie. boxes whose tubes are arranged so as to allow the tubes or cables to be connected in their most common positions only. Now, despite the fact that the electrician-installer, when assembling the electrical pipe, has about fifteen types of normal boxes, so with which he can only do 15 different assemblies, he sometimes has too often do not have the type of box it needs to make exactly the proposed connection.

On the one hand, the cost of manufacturing a larger assortment of these boxes would be too high, and on the other hand, since all these types of boxes would have to be stored in order to be able to? dispose of it as soon as the electrician has to use it, this storage would also become (given its complexity) too expensive

because of the financial value of an electrical installation.

The object of my invention, which makes it possible to avoid the aforementioned inconveniences, consists of a box of uniform model (see Fig. 3) to which flanges are fitted (fig.

4,5,6). (The models of the box and the flanges can vary indefinitely).

The small tubes, instead of being fixed on the walls of the box (like the tubes la, lb, lc, etc., in fig. N 1, the wall being 1 d), are fixed on flanges (see fig. 4,5) C; a.d. that the pipe (s) form a single piece with the flange. These flanges each constitute a wall of the box and are to be adapted to the latter by simply sliding along the lateral grooves 3a, 3b, 3c, etc. (see fig. 3) These flanges can also be fixed with screws or bolts.

Flanges without tubing, called "shielded" (see fig. 6) are intended to constitute the side or sides of the box to which no electric current conductors arrive, and where therefore nothing should be connected.

Thanks to this innovation, we bring back the large assortment of gearboxes to a single type which, combined with flanges with- and without tubing (see example fig n 2) allows the electrician to immediately obtain the type of gearbox perfectly suited to connect all tubes or cables to each other, regardless of their position in relation to the box in which their wires are to be connected.

Not only does this box make it possible to obtain an assortment of different diagrams that are much more considered.
