Pied de machine à coudre.
La présente invention concerne un pied de machine à coudre destiné plus particulièrement aux points piqués (piquage roulé de revers, pattes et cols). Ce pied conforme à l'invention est construit de telle sorte qu'il permette de piquer en deux directions. Par retournement (rotatrop) de la pièce à travailler, la couture suivante est chaque fois faite en direction renversée et on obtient le même effet que dans le piquage avant et arrière.
L'objet de l'invention se caractérise vis-à-vis des pieds spéciaux connus de ce type par une construction exceptionnellement simple et par une grande visibilité.
Au milieu de la semelle du pied de machine, c'est-à-dire entre ses branches ou fourchons, est disposé un guide bi-latéral, pour le tissu, en forme de règle qui, par suite de sa suspension élastique et pendulaire s'adapte exactement au tissu inférieur et presse élastiquement celui-ci vers le bas, de sorte qu'un gui- dage exact est obtenu, des deux cotés, pour les bords de tissu

rabattus en-dessous de la semelle. Pour adapter exactement le pied à la tablette de la machine à coudre, la semelle est montée déplaçable latéralement par rapport à la tige du pied.
Une autre caractéristique de l'invention consiste en ce que, pour d'autres travaux spéciaux, tels que par exemple la couture de l'ourlet ou rabat de pantalons, ourlets rentrée de pantalons, ainsi qu'ourlets des jupes et manteaux, on glisse sur la règle un simple capuchon de tôle à bord de guidage, au lieu de la deuxième règle amovible employée jusqu'ici. Quand le pied doit servir à nouveau à piquer ou apprêter (garnir) une pièce en coin, il suffit de retirer simplement ce capuchon.
Enfin, il est prévu au côté inférieur de la semelle du pied, des rainures qui convergent dans la direction de la couture et par lesquelles le tissu est guidé automatiquement vers la règle, pendant la couture, et est conduit le long des flancs de cette règle.
Au dessin annexé est représenté un exemple de réalisation du pied de couture conforme à l'invention : fig.l est une vue par le dessus, fig. 2 une vue latérale, fig. 3 une vue par le dessous et fig. 4 une vue par derrière.
1 est la semelle et 2 la tige, le montant du pied de la machine, à laquelle la semelle est reliée par la vis 3. Sur la semelle 1 est fixée, par les deux vis 5-6, la lame de ressort 4 en forme d'U, et, sur la branche médiane ou base 4' de ce ressort, est montée mobile dans le plan vertical, la règle 7 de sorte que cette dernière s'adapte à toute inégalité du tissu qui se trouve sous elle. La règle 7 est suspendue au ressort 4 par une plaquette 8 vissée et la branche médiane 4' du ressort pénètre dans une en coche de la règle, avec le jeu nécessaire au mouvement de la règle.
La fig. 2 fait voir comment la semelle 1 peut se déplacer latéralement par rapport à la tige 2. La semelle est guidée sur une

tringle de la tige 2 et le déplacement s'opère par le levier 9 dont l'oeillet excentrique 10 agit sur les deux tringles 11, 12 verticales prévues de chaque côté de la partie de semelle 1' faisant saillie vers le haut.
13 désigne le capuchon en tôle, à glisser sur la règle 7 ; il est pourvu du bord de guidage 13' pour coudre l'ourlet de pantalons, et 14-14'sont les rainures taillées dans la face inférieure de la semelle pour l'amenée automatique du tissu vers la règle 7.
REVENDICATIONS.

Another characteristic of the invention consists in that, for other special work, such as for example the seam of the hem or flap of trousers, tucked-in hems of trousers, as well as the hems of skirts and coats, one slips on the rule a simple sheet metal cap with a guiding edge, instead of the second removable rule used until now. When the foot is to be used again for stitching or priming (garnishing) a corner piece, simply remove this cap.
