@ Improvements to containers for steaming vegetables, pasta and others
The present invention relates to containers for steaming, fast acting, clean, and without water, vegetables such as potatoes, chicory asparagus, and all leafy vegetables and the like.
In currently known containers for steaming, the upper container, containing the food to be cooked, has a fixed bottom perforated in the manner of; strainers with holes. These containers have the great advantage that only a small surface area of said bottom is 1 days, so that, with the vegetables to be cooked still blocking part of these openings, the passage left for steaming is insignificant.
Another disadvantage of the known containers lies in the fact that the rust cuts through the edges of the holes, thus sharpening the bottom which, under the weight of the products to be cooked, s' dre and thus puts the utensil out of use.
The object of the present invention is to obviate these inconveniences and provides a utensil comprising two receptacles.

perposed, the lower of which contains water for the production of the steam necessary for cooking, and of which the upper receptacle, to contain the products to be cooked, is provided with a removable bottom, open, possibly interchangeable, and having a large empty area.
The interchangeable bottom may be of tinned wire, wire mesh, perforated metal, or the like, so as to have an empty area of about 95%.
In the accompanying drawing is shown, by way of example, an embodiment of the present invention.
FIG. 1 is an elevational view of the assembly device, comprising two superimposed containers.
Fig. 2 is a section along A-B of fig.l
Fig.3 is a view from below of a removable bottom of the upper container.
According to the drawing, 1 represents the container in which the vaporization of the water necessary for cooking takes place, 2 is a bottomless saucepan, to allow the steam to surround the food to be cooked; 3 is an interchangeable bottom preferably having a large empty surface, of approximately 95%; this interchangeable bottom, made of tinned wire, wire mesh, perforated metal or the like, is placed on an internal rim of the pan 1, this bottom being intended to carry the materials to be cooked.
This bottom 5 can be made of round, square, half-flat, half-round wire, etc., of regular or irregular shape, in a spiral, in regular or irregular concentric circles, rhombus, square, or any other shape deemed appropriate.
It is also possible to superimpose two or more backgrounds.
In this way, something which was not possible with the containers' known to date, it is possible to steam rice, and pasta, using a removable bottom.

Lely this bottom on another bottom made according to fig.3
On the pan 1 is placed a cover 4, if necessary: with rim, and allowing the escape of the steam at the end and during the cooking operation.
The shapes and the weight of the cover 4 are designed so that no retention of the steam is possible, afir to ensure perfect safety in use.
The invention has been described and illustrated purely as an indication, and in no way limiting, and it goes without saying that r breuses modifications can be made to its details, deviating from its spirit.
