<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Refrigerant with absorption of two fluids with periodic action.
The object of the present invention is a refrigerant with absorption of two fluids with two aggregates or groups working periodically, in which provision has been made essentially on the boiler-absorber, for the distribution of the vapors produced during the boiling period and the period. absorption, a steam dome with a system of compartments and a particular system of tubes, which in the lower compartment forms a hydraulic seal, characterized by a constant liquid level. In the boiler-absorber are mounted one or more heating pipes, which pass right through it and around which or around which two or more perforated pipes are provided.
Above the heating pipes and the perforated pipes is arranged a receptacle, through which as a compensator the perforated pipes are in communication with the steam lady.
The steam dome, formed, according to the invention, above the boiler-absorber, during the boiling period has the mission of causing cooling.

prior to the expelled gases and, therefore, easier condensation of the water vapors, already above the boiler-absorber, to separate in a certain way all the water particles entrained by the expelled gases, and d '' avoid any dangerous overpressure and any danger of explosion, which is a consequence thereof, if the boiler overheats. During the absorption period the distribution members of the steam valve only allow the vapors coming from the vaporizer to pass through the perforated pipes.
The arrangement, according to the invention, of internal heating pipes, running from one end to the other, has the advantage over other heating devices, which the boiler-absorber can be brought to. the required temperature either indirectly by means of electric heaters and water, or directly by means of fuels.
The arrangement of hydraulic siphon seals in absorption refrigerants is known, as is also known a device in which the absorption fluid forms, above the boiler + absorber, a hydraulic seal, but the level of which does not remain. constant. In addition, devices are known which have a heating pipe in the boiler-absorber, as well as devices which have perforated pipes therein. But all these known devices do not have any protection against the entrainment of the absorption fluid, so that they must: Use of special provisions, on the one hand to retain this fluid and on the other hand to bring it back , which causes great difficulties in walking, while putting it in danger.
The device, according to the invention, aims to achieve, vis-à-vis known devices, the greatest imaginable simplicity, maximum efficiency and absolutely certain operating safety.
In the accompanying drawing is shown an exemplary embodiment.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
sation of the invention. In this drawing: Fig. 1 shows the absorption refrigerant in longitudinal section. Figs.
2 and 3 show the arrangement of the device in the heating period, respectively cooling in cross section.
In the boiler-absorber a, which is partially filled with an ammonia solution, is mounted, at the lowest possible place, a heating pipe q, passing right through the boiler and provided with two side closures s1 and s2, this heating pipe having, in addition, a tubular connection r, directed upwards and opening through an opening above the boiler. On both sides of the heating pipe ± are arranged, also as low as possible, the perforated pipes h, preferably carrying at their ends the pressure compensation pipes w1 and w2, opening freely, the said perforated pipes being put in communication with the compensation vessel k by the fork-shaped pipes i.
Above the boiler-absorber is arranged the steam dome b, subdivided into compartments c, d and e, which are interconnected by tubes n, o and p. The water vapors, entrained by the gases, are separated, on the way going through the tubes n and 2, in the ± compartment and here form a hydraulic seal at constant level, going up to the upper end of the tube m, coming from the compensation vessel k. The excess solution returns through tube m to the boiler.
During the boiling period (see Fig. 2), the
EMI3.1
condansateur4vaporinateur is located outside the useful refrigeration space u in a refrigerant container t, filled, for example, with refrigerating water. This coolant container, necessary for the change of function of the two aggregates, is constructively connected.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
vement to the useful refrigeration space, so that when changing function, the simple movement of the aggregates from one chamber to the neighboring chamber allows walking on the spot. In the case of electric heating, the heating pipe (fig. 1) is filled with water, and through the tubular connection r an electric immersion boiler is immersed in said heating pipe.
The heat produced by this immersion boiler is transferred, by the water which surrounds it, to the refrigerant boiler and produces the expulsion of the refrigerant gas from this boiler. This gas passes through the tubes n, o, p and f in the condenser g, and condenses there.
After the gases are expelled, the apparatus is inverted in the known manner (fig. 3), so that the condenser-evaporator is placed in the useful refrigeration chamber u, and the boiler-absorber a in the coolant container t. The cooling of the boiler-absorber a causes a reduction in pressure, as well as an expansion and vaporization of the gases of the condensed refrigerant, the necessary heat of vaporization being removed from the useful refrigeration space, which thus undergoes a corresponding cooling.
The gases pass from the condenser-vaporizer through the pipes f, p and m into the compensation vessel k and return through the communication pipes i into the perforated pipes h and into the absorption fluid, which absorbs these gases through the perforations said pipes h. Compensation at the surface of the refrigerant is carried out by the compensation tubes w1 and w2.
