<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

biles 12.
Les tendeurs 9 servent :
1 ) à soutenir le fil dès qu'il est tiré de la bobine et à freiner son inertie pour éviter les "éboulages";
2 ) à donner à chaque fil une tension déterminée égale et constante, quelle que soit la vitesse du dévidage du fil, sa nature ou son titre (deniers);
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

"PERFECTED CANTRE SYSTEM FOR LAWN WEIGHING"
The present invention relates to an improved creel system for use in the textile industry, for warping in advance of artificial or other textiles in the form of conical coils, sun coils, cylindrical coils called "Alexandre". and bottle coils.
This creel system makes it possible to warp at high speed and under a constant and determined tension, on direct or sectional warping machines or on sizing machines, fine and delicate textiles, the type of which is artificial silk thread, viscose and others, glued or not glued, flocked or twisted
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
and even over-twisted, occurring in the forms listed above.
Two essential points characterize this creel system: on the one hand, its accessibility by virtue of its mounting by externally pivoting elements to facilitate handling of the coils; on the other hand, its double braking by tensioners and assembly bar which precisely regulates the tensions of the threads.
The accompanying drawings show, by way of example, a practical embodiment of the invention:
Fig. 1 shows, elevation view with partial sections, the whole of a creel of the imagined system.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the creel.
Figs. 3 and 4 are elevation and plan views of the thread tensioner.
Fig. 5 is a section of the assembly bar along an axis AA of FIG. 1.
The creel is constituted by a frame formed at the upper and lower part of two U-shaped bars, 1 and 2, joined together vertically by columns 3 and horizontally by crossbars 4. On each bar I are mounted pivoting arms 5 on which are fixed one or more racks 6 carrying coils 7. Each group of racks and the arms which support them, form a panel which can be maneuvered externally by hand like a door, in order to take the position if necessary 8, as shown in Fig. 2, facilitating, during work, the packing or the replacement of the coils 7.
At the height of the center of each coil 7 are arranged horizontally wire tensioners 9, fixed on cross members 10, carried by the columns 3, and intermediate uprights where they are held in position by means of mo-

biles 12.
The tensioners 9 serve:
1) to support the wire as soon as it is pulled from the spool and to slow down its inertia to avoid "landslides";
2) to give each thread a determined equal and constant tension, whatever the speed of the unwinding of the thread, its nature or its count (denier);
3) to purify the wire if necessary.
Each tensioner is formed by two fluff surfaces 13 between which the wire is braked. These fluff surfaces 13 are pressed against each other by plates 14 articulated at 15. These can be divided into three segments for example, the weights of which are in the ratio of 1/5, 2/5 and 3. / 5. Each of these segments can be raised at 14 ', as shown in Fig. 3; it is thus possible to obtain voltage combinations. The guiding of the wire in the tensioners is obtained by barbs 16 placed at the entrance and at the exit of each tensioner.
At the exit of the tensioners 9, each wire 17 is directed onto a vertical assembly bar 18. The latter is formed of a frame 19, in the form of a U (Fig. 5) where a bar 19 'can slide, lined on the outside. of floss 20 on which the son graze while passing horizontally between two barbs 21 and 22, which ensures a second braking. This braking of the wire can be increased or decreased by advancing or retreating the bar 19 'by means of pins 23. The assembly bar carries two barbels 21 and 22 as many times as the creel carries spools.
The machine thus described may for example comprise a hundred coils; these machines can be grouped by two, three, four., eight and more, to allow simultaneous warping in
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
a single tablecloth of two hundred or eight hundred threads and more.
It is understood that the details of assembly and construction of the creel may be varied in any manner appropriate to the realization of the invention.
