"Two-chamber feeder, intended for compressed air progression installations and having drawers which close and open by compressed air".
Two-chamber supply or flow devices were entrusted in which the product is transported by pressurized air and whose chambers are closed by registers, the closing and opening of which are also effected in- tervention of pressurized air.
In devices of the kind known until now, the registers are controlled by manual adjustment. As a result, the regularity of operation of the apparatus depends to a large extent on the attention paid by the service worker to the operation of these registers. This attention is also necessary because errors in the sequence of the service processes

vice not only cause a loss of pressurized medium, but can also cause serious walking disturbances.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by effecting the control of the closure members of the chambers also by the pressurized air through any distributor member, of design known per se, and which is provided with passages and channels ad hoc. For example, a register or rotary valve can be used for this purpose. The operation of the apparatus is thus made fully automatic and independent of the attention paid by the service worker.
The particular advantage that the invention presents then resides in the fact that the operation of the distributor member as well as the control of the registers and their opening and closing and finally the transport of the product itself are carried out on intervention. pressurized air: for example, a compressed air motor is used to control the rotary damper.
The use of such an elastic control means for all the parts of the apparatus which must be put into action has this consequence that the obstacles which manifest themselves in one of. Any appliance painted / while it is in operation, such as, for example, the obstruction of the discharge line automatically causes an increase in the pressure in the whole system and hence either a corresponding slowing down and sometimes a reduction. stopping or even when one remains below the normal speed, an acceleration of the running speed as a result of the pressure differentials which occur.
The pressure oscillations in the pressurized air stream which occur as a result of variations in speed can also be used to actuate signaling devices or other control installations.
The drawing shows a debtor apparatus according to the invention, with two chambers, schematically.
On the debtor device which consists, according to a known method, of two superimposed chambers A and B are connected, at the top, the

feed hopper. here and at the bottom, to the conical part F, the connection G. This connection, on the one hand carries the pressurized air inlet pipe H and on the other hand the discharge pipe J.
The upper chamber B is closed at the top by the register
E and down through the register C which thus separates it from the chamber A, The pressurized air which arrives in the pressurized air cylinders O, P on one side or the other sticks on their seat or takes off depending on the case, the two registers D, C according to the known system.
By alternately opening and closing the registers C, D, it is possible to pass the material introduced into the upper chamber B, while maintaining the operating pressure of the air, in the lower chamber A and from the latter to the intervention. pressurized air supplied via line H, into the delivery or transport line J.
In order to supply the lower chamber A with compressed air, a ventilation valve K is provided which moves in the compressed air cylinders N and, to deaerate the upper chamber B, a deaeration valve L which can move in a cycle. compressed air cylinder M. To the compressed air cylinders M, N, 0, B, there arrive pipes T which are connected with the distributor member R. In the example shown this member consists of a rotary valve actuated by a compressed air motor Q, valve in which are formed channels and U branches, which conduct the pressurized air supplied by a branch S, according to the operating requirements, to the various cylinders M, N, O, P.
The operation of the various processes is therefore accomplished in the prescribed order of succession at each complete revolution of the distributor member R. Since the engine Q is supplied by the same source of pressurized air as the hose of arrival H, any speed variation which occurs in pipe H refers to motor Q, so that in this way there is always an exact relation between the various processes and one is certain to obtain a transport adjust the product.
