Improvements to radio reception devices.
The radiophonic reception apparatuses known until now included, when they had to function with an electrodynamic loudspeaker, either two pairs of .repaired sockets, one (- sucks the musical frequencies of the loudspeaker (s), the another for the excitation of these, that is to say a single output circuit for a simple electro-dynamic loudspeaker. The use of such loudspeakers was therefore only possible when two separate cables were provided. each terminated by a plug, one of the cables bringing the excitation, the other the musical frequency currents,
as

the more the sockets for the excitation and that for the audible currents presented the same dimensions and the same spacing of pins, there was always the risk of inverting the two targets, of aorta that the conant of excitation was entering the circuit of audible currents, and burning either the loudspeaker coil or the output transformer.
The present invention overcomes this drawback by the use of a plug simultaneously supplying the loudspeaker with both excitation current and audible current. the particular arrangement of the plugs, their particular dimension and their spacing, which are also characteristic of the invention, make the above-mentioned disconnection errors absolutely impossible. the plug can occupy only one position in the socket and then automatically relays the correct connections The invention is further characterized by the fact that it allows,
when connecting an electrodyanic loudspeaker to the receivers, automatically producing in this receiver the diagram suitable for the use of such a sound reproducer. The electrical diagram of the receiver is provided in such a way that when connecting a simple electromagnetic loudspeaker, or a similar reproducing device (without excitation), it is especially suitable for this type of loudspeaker. The means or devices provided in the diagram which, for example, would become useless during this connection will, according to the intention, be automatically switched off, as mentioned above.
The appended drawings represent by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment, without similar embodiments being able to influence the fundamental idea.
Fig. 1 gives the diagram of the network part.

Figure 2 is a variant of this diagram. fig. 3 shows the speaker connection plate on the receiver.
Fig. 4 is a view of the speaker plug.
In, fig. 1, the loudspeaker connection plate receives at 2 the positive excitation voltage, At 3, the plate receives, through a filter resistor 4, the negative voltage coming from the rectifier. The music frequency counants lead to sockets 5 and 6, the positive voltage going to socket 5 through resistor 7, the negative through socket 6 to the anode 8 of the amplifier output. When connecting a loudspeaker operating without excitation, its plug is inserted into sockets 5 and 6.
The sockets 2 and 3 are also dimensionste lles that the speaker plugs can not enter; thus avoids any risk of confusing the plugs. the loudspeaker plug -can enter only in sockets 5 and 6. The positive current, coming from point 9 being brought to the. socket 5 through a resistor 7 thus creates the necessary voltage drop for the last lamp so that the devices operate at the prescribed voltage.
If, on the other hand, an electrodynamic loudspeaker or the like is connected to the receiver, ie an apparatus requiring excitation, the quadruple plug 14 of 1a is used. fig. 4, which presents according to the invention a short-circuit between the pins 11 and 13 therefore, the sockets 2 and 5 are short-circuited which results in the automatic short-circuiting of the resistor 7, without any other device. such as springs, special grips, etc.
See also the variant of fig. 2, in which resistor 7 occupies another position, the state of the voltages of the receiver is therefore modified; because we need the neck-
