<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

"Electric Buckling Iron Device".
The present invention relates to an electric sounding iron device, characterized in that it is arranged so as to dispose the heat source in the most efficient manner.
This soldering iron comprises in principle, as a main feature, a heating element arranged in a recess, groove @ notch made in the head of the soldering iron.
The attached figure shows one of the devices produced and is a perspective view of the head of the non-encroe looping iron fitted with its heating element. @
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
According to this figure, the head 1 has a deep notch 2 above, in which the heating element is placed. This will be, for example, an electric resistor judiciously determined and connected for example to the network,
The same result can be obtained by using a bipartial head, the two parts being contiguous and the recess or the notch then being made partially in each part or in one of the parts only, so as to obtain the necessary space for placement. of the heating element.
The soft parts would be assembled in any manner desired and deemed advantageous.
The advantages of these devices compared to those known and more particularly to those provided with a heating element placed on each side of the head, are mainly the following: an appreciable saving in electric current as a result of the useful effect of this current , which one is best used; the heating element is of simpler configuration and consequently less expensive and easier to replace. Moreover, the outer faces of the head can be coated with heat-insulating material held by suitable parts.
Obviously this device is applicable whatever the shape and capacity of the desired electric iron.
The shape of the head is not necessarily the rectangular shape shown in the figure. The notch shown in the drawing can be replaced by one or more recesses, of any shape, made in the inside of the head.
Also these devices are independent of the arrangement and conformation of the heating elements and of the material employed.
