"A New Wheel for vehicles"
This invention relates to a novel wheel for vehicles, and more especially for automobiles, motorcycles and the like and is characterized in that its rim is provided with an elastic cover or ring, which does not contain rubber. This cover carries a rubber ring. central chamber filled with air at atmospheric pressure.
The wheel object of the present invention offers the same advantages of pneumatic pneumatic wheels filled with pressurized air, without the disadvantages which the latter present in practice, such as the ease with which they can be cut or cut. pierced, which gives rise to the release of compressed air and can produce accidents

Fig. I is a cross section of the wheel and
Fig. 2 shows it partly in section A-B-C-D and partly in exterior view.
The construction of the actual wheel I, can be arbitrary, but in all cases the wheel carries a splined rim 2 following which and inside the wheel is arranged an annular container
In channel 2 there is an elastic element, which in the general case shown in the drawing is formed by a leather chamber 4, a solid 5 of canvas impregnated with balata and an outer cover of leather 7. On the inside. from massif 5 and

tion aims to give the most elasticity to: ElC. a; - 2t, to increase its resistance and to obtain a better adaptation of the tread surface to the irregularities which the ground to be traversed by the wheel could offer.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The elastic element described is cut from the inner part of the body that it forms and in this way it fits into the channel 2 at the same time that it remains between the two branches formed by the same element, a sort of flange 8 , located at the bottom of channel 2.
Between the chamber 4 and the tubular container 3 there are communications 9 so that when the latter is deformed by its operation, the air is expelled towards the container 3.-
As a further embodiment of the wheel, we can cite the removal of the inner leather cover which forms the air chamber and the removal of the cover 7 which is also of leather, or both at the same time. All of this agrees with the characteristics that the wheel must offer in each particular case, as well as the class and quality of the oil used for the manufacture of solid 5.
As has been said, the shape and dimensions of the wheel are variable as are the details of construction, without however departing from the scope or the inventive idea of the present invention.
