Hunting rifle.
The invention relates to a shotgun with cannons
fixed and movable yoke sliding on the frame of
tear
According to part of the invention, the locking
of the breech in its firing position is secured at the same
time by means of a member penetrating into a corresponding orifice of the carcass and by means of a sliding element in the movable breech and penetrating into a corresponding notch of the strip joining the two barrels.
As the invention provides for the displacement of
organ and element are carried out normally at the plane of
the axis of the guns by transforming the rotational movement
of a piece pivoting on the cylinder head in a rectilinear movement
by appropriate means
According to the invention the aforementioned part can be locked in its open position.
In the case of a hunting rifle in which a device making it possible to block the advancement of the cartridges
in the store is controlled by acting on a mechanism
capable of withdrawing the cartridges from the chamber of the barrel, the invention provides for the ordinary extractor, actuated in a known manner by the firing pin, to play the role of this mechanism.
According to the invention the removal of a cartridge
v out of the chamber of the barrel, when this cartridge has not been struck, is produced by bringing the extractor into its operating position by means of a member actuated by the operator and capable of acting on the aforesaid device.
The appended drawings indicate by way of example and not by way of limitation an embodiment of the invention. This extends to the various original features included in the arrangement shown.
Fig.l is a perspective view with breaks of part of the weapon showing the breech in its firing position. Fig.2 is a perspective view with broken pieces showing the weapon with the movable breech in the open position as well as certain parts of the extraction mechanism. Fig.3 is a perspective view with broken pieces of the weapon on a larger scale than that of fig.l and 2 with the breech in its open position, showing the device for extracting and advancing the cartridges in the store at rest. Fig.4 is a perspective view with broken pieces of the weapon with the movable breech in its open position showing the extraction device in its operating position.
The movable breech 3 which slides between the guides 2g of the frame 2 of the two-barreled rifle, is locked in its firing position by members and elements such as two tenons 3a and 3b penetrating respectively into a corresponding notch of the frame 2 and in a notch formed in a projecting part 2k of the strip 2b joining the two fixed barrels of the weapon o These tenons 3a and 3b, which enter their respective notches perpendicular to the plane of the axes of the barrels are actuated by a part or key 3k pivoting in 3m on the breech 3 in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the 'axas of the guns.
The rotational movement of the key 3k is transformed into a rectilinear movement on the one hand by means of the groove 3r in which a pivot integral with the tenon 3a engages, on the other hand by means of a connecting rod 3t connected to a slide 3q guided parallel to the axis of the barrels in a groove 3s of the

to its rest position by a 3v spring / is achieved
by providing the tenon with a ramp 3p cooperating with a corresponding ramp of the slide 3q. To open the weapon, the operator grasps the end 3u, of the key 3k, housed in its locking position in a suitable housing of the breech 3 and pulls this key backwards.
has the effect of making the latter pivot around the 3m pivot and release the tenons from the corresponding notches.
This key 3k is locked in its open position perpendicular to the plane of the axis of the barrels, by means of a lever 3h pivoted on the movable breech, biased upwards by a spring 3g and coming into abutment by one of its ends against a shoulder 3y of the key 3k.
When closing the weapon, this key 3k is automatically unlocked during the forward movement of the breech by the fact that the cam 3f of the other end of the lever 3h meeting a ramp 2r provided on the face 2f of carcass 2, is pushed

The cartridges are placed in the barrels either
manually, or automatically by means of independent loaders such as 2a pivots in the 2m magazine attached to the frame. In the latter case, when
automatic loading of the weapon, the magazines loaded by a 2t spring bring the cartridges in front of the chamber of the barrels. Under the effect of the thrust of the breech, the cartridge is released from the elastic grippers 2p and driven into the barrel.
In the case where the charger .constituted by a box. Contains several cartridges, last case
are brought automatically in front of the chamber of the barrels, as foreseen by the invention, by the fact that this loader, already biased by a spring resting on the bottom of the magazine, comprises a movable bottom on which acts another spring which takes press on
even bottom of the charger.
The movements of loader 2a in the store are controlled according to the positions occupied by
an extractor capable of removing the cartridges
not fired from the gun chamber. The blocking
loader 2a in the bottom of the magazine is provided by the action of a finger 2d pivoted on the frame and resting on a shoulder 2u of the loader. The release of the finger 2d from the shoulder 2u is brought about by making a lug 2h of the finger 2d cooperate with an inclined groove 2r formed in a sliding part 2s vars the bottom, when the extension 2n of this part emerging from the face 2f of the carcass is pushed back, during the opening of the weapon that is to say during the retreat of the breech, by the stop 4b housed in the breech 3.
If the operator wishes to replace a cartridge not fired from the barrel with a cartridge of a different composition located in the magazine, he will suffice when the breech is locked in the pulling position to push

bring it perpendicular to the plane of the axes of the barrels, The extraction of the non-fired cartridge is carried out by the fact that the head 5b of the extractor has been brought behind the bead of the casing as a result of the action of the
cam 4t of the button on the cam 5t of the extractor 5 biased towards its rest position by a spring 5r. The extractor 5 is locked at the same time in its operating position by

actuated by a ramp 4p of the button 4a cooperating with a corresponding ramp 5m of the arm 5f of the lever 5g.
The cartridges in the magazine will be moved when the breech is withdrawn towards the rear, for this purpose an inclined face 4m of the button 4a acts on a corresponding inclined face of the stop 4b, held inside the breech by a spring 4r, and, .. pushes this stop 4b beyond. of the underside of the cylinder head 3
