Eine Technik zur Überwachung eines Kontakts zwischen Ladeleitern (114, 116) einer Ladestation (200) zum Laden eines Elektrofahrzeugs (150) wird beschrieben. Gemäß einem Aspekt umfasst eine Vorrichtung (200) einen Signalgenerator (202), der dazu ausgebildet ist, ein alternierenden Prüfsignal an den Ladeleitern (114, 116) auszugeben; und eine Auswerteeinheit (204), die dazu ausgebildet ist, auf Grundlage des Prüfsignals zu bestimmen, ob zwischen den Ladeleitern (114, 116) ein elektrisch leitender Kontakt besteht.
