Generator van driedimensionale objecten (1) voorzien van een beweegbare tafel (2), een poederspreider (9) voor het laagsgewijs aanvoeren van poedermateriaal (23) en een poederomvormer (25) voor het selectief verbinden van gedeelten (35) van elke poederlaag (36) , evenals van een sturing (29) met minstens een meettoestel (30) voor het meten van een interactie van de poederspreider (9) met een materiaallaag (33) tijdens het bewegen van de poederspreider (9), een verwerkingseenheid (31) voor het genereren van aanstuurwaarden op basis van de meetgegevens en een aanstuureenheid (32) waarmee aangestuurde elementen (2,9,25) worden aangestuurd overeenkomstig aanstuurwaarden aangeleverd door de verwerkingseenheid (31).
