Description
Beschrijving: Interactieve thermische houder
<EMI ID=1.1>
<EMI ID=2.1>
geschikt voor consumptie)
<EMI ID=3.1>
te gaan aanvullen)
<EMI ID=4.1> <EMI ID=5.1>
bepaalde klassen van voedsel
<EMI ID=6.1>
standaard grenzen of zones voorprogrammeren
<EMI ID=7.1>
Finaal stelt zich men zich ook vaak de vraag wanneer men na een "lange" tijd de container terug wil gebruiken of men de container voor gebruik nog dient te reinigen. Men kan dus een functie voorzien:
<EMI ID=8.1>
temperatuur-curve, drempel-temperatuur, ...
De indicator-interface (16) kan - afhankelijk van de uitvoering hetzij deel uitmaken van de buitenzijde, hetzij daarin verdoken geïntegreerd worden (bv. achter een schuifdeurtje, uitschuifbaar, etc.);

Description: Interactive thermal holder
The thermos bottle is one of the daily handy appliances. The concept has been known for many decades and since then a whole series of developments have taken place. New plastic materials were used, pumping systems were added, etc. Special thermoses were developed with a very wider opening for storing food. We also see that the concept was combined with, for example, a coffee maker. All this to provide more comfort to the user.
Nevertheless, we see that a lot of improvements and innovations are still desirable, but determined by the incorporation of electronics in the thermos flask and other similar temperature holders. This brings added value to the thermos concept. Including sensors and related electronics makes it possible to gather objective observations and information regarding the content and functionality. Currently, the user will rely on subjective information.
With containers that store food (eg insulated bottle, container as used in hospitals, ...), users almost always ask themselves the following questions (you can easily experience this for yourself when you pour coffee from an insulated bottle, for example):
<EMI ID = 1.1>
In certain cases it is even advisable to provide an "alarm signal" or "indication signal" on the food containers:
<EMI ID = 2.1>
suitable for consumption)
<EMI ID = 3.1>
to supplement)
<EMI ID = 4.1> <EMI ID = 5.1>
certain classes of food
<EMI ID = 6.1>
pre-program standard boundaries or zones
With a slightly more specific situation one might also ask:
<EMI ID = 7.1>
In the end, people often ask themselves when they want to use the container again after a "long" time or whether they still need to be cleaned before use. A function can therefore be provided:
<EMI ID = 8.1>
All of the above-mentioned points of attention are nowadays assessed and experienced in a particularly subjective way. They are going to open the food container, smell it, estimate weight, taste it, feel the temperature with their fingers, etc.
This patent application relates to a portable lockable container (10) of liquid (12), food or other substances (e.g. medical products, organic materials, objects, ice cream). These are kept as long as possible in their initial thermal state in an inner structure (17) which consists solely of temperature-inert or reflective insulating materials (11) or consists of at least one insulating layer around which a network structure is additionally cooled or additionally heated or additionally heated via an internal thermal source.
The user can then access the outside via at least one indicator interface (16) (eg LCD, LEDs, display, sound, screen keys, push buttons, etc.) - which is connected (18) to at least one micro-processor (15) and at least one internal sensor
(13) - receive at least one indication and / or give / program one instruction concerning:
1. a substantive aspect (eg type of content, height of the
content, viscosity, weight, etc.), 2. a temperature aspect (e.g. temperature of the content,
temperature curve, threshold temperature, ...) and / or
3. a duration (eg time that the content is already in the
holder, time period since last use, exceeding of storage time, eating time).
This allows the user to know the desired status of the contents of the container at any time based on objective measurement and recording technology. He can read this data visually or receive it in an auditory manner (eg computer generated voice, alarm) and can possibly intervene in the future operation and status thresholds.
This holder is equipped with a collection of hardware
(sensors, microprocessor, intelligent electronics, power supply, data communication, visualization components, controls, ...) and software with the aim of informing the user in an interactive way about specific properties of the product that is in the inner volume.
As a result, the user has the option of entering specific threshold values for specific parameters, so that he or she can be consulted when they are exceeded.
The user therefore has the option of activating specific pre-programmed sensor modules if these are provided in the micro-processor.
The user can then consult the internally measured data about the product in the inner volume at any time.
In a specific embodiment, it is provided that the user has the ability to set a type of liquid, food or product, and therefore automatically sets a set of related values. This is extra user-friendly, and this can be done in accordance with health standards (cf. storage times).
The holder will at least be provided with one independent and / or one network power source (e.g. battery 14, solar cell, network voltage, etc.).
Programming the microprocessor can also be done via instructions or programs that are sent via specific radio frequencies (eg blue tooth, WiFi, etc.). This radio technology therefore makes it possible to interact with the thermal holder (s) via, for example, mobile telephones. An instruction can also be done via the automatic and / or manual setting of a preprogrammed module (eg slimming module: food profile with calorie index linked to quantity, meal rate and alarm).
The microprocessor (15) can in certain embodiments be connected to at least one internal memory and / or to at least one insertable solid-state memory (e.g. Flash memory card, memory stick, SIM, etc.). This may, for example, contain alternative modules and be provided by a publisher of nutritional advice.
The microprocessor can contain at least one internal memory (ROM) in which a number of specific measuring modules are stored. It can also have at least one internal memory (RAM) in which a number of specific measuring modules can be stored.
The indicator interface (16) can - depending on the version - either be part of the outside or be concealed in it (eg behind a sliding door, extendable, etc.);
A container of liquids can also be additionally equipped with a filling mechanism for cups. This is then more a table model for larger quantities.
The holder can also be equipped with at least one indicator regarding the status of the device itself (eg: state of the current, correct closure of the lid). For example, if the lid is not properly closed or closed, a warning will be given.
Below the non-limitative description one by one of the possible technical implementation methods of the specified parameters.
1) measuring temperature
A temperature sensor is provided along the inside of the container, which measures the temperature and transmits it to the electronics. The sensor may come into direct or indirect contact (through the trapped air or other storage medium) with the food.
2) display temperature
An alpha-numeric or graphic display is provided, which displays the temperature measurement value
3) Measuring system temperature (optional)
In a set-up menu you can see the possibility of displaying the temperature in: [deg.] C, [deg.] F or [deg.] K
4) Calibration temperature (optional)
A set-up menu is provided with the option to calibrate the set value using a reference thermometer.
5) measuring storage time
A timer is provided that starts running as soon as it receives a "start storage time" signal.
6) display retention time
An alpha-numeric or graphic display is provided, which shows the storage time measured value
7) signal start retention time.
This signal can be realized "automatically" by operating a mechanical, electrical or electronic contact when the container is closed. It is also possible to operate this signal manually by a push button.
8) signal stop retention time
This signal can be realized "automatically" by operating a mechanical, electrical or electronic contact when opening the container. It is also possible to operate this signal manually by a push button.
9) measuring the weight of solid and liquid food The container can be set up in such a way that an internal scale is installed. This can weigh the content.
10) measuring volume of liquid food
With liquid food, the volume can be deduced from the measurement of the liquid surface and the content can be calculated from this by means of the content profile of the container. The surface can be measured with different types of sensors, such as those listed non-limitatively: infrared sensor, radar, level sensor, etc.
11) food content display
An alpha-numeric or graphical display is provided, which displays the food content measured value
12) Measuring system food content (optional)
In a set-up menu one can see the possibility of displaying the content in different weight units or volume units.
13) threshold value or temperature threshold zone exceeded
A piece of software can be provided in the device which gives an alarm signal or an indication signal when a certain threshold value is exceeded or when the food is in a certain threshold zone. The electronics will then always have to compare this setting with its measured values. Below an indicative non-limitative example of possible zones:
coffee
+ 60 [deg.] C, threshold value too hot (do not drink)
55 [deg.] C-60 [deg.] C, threshold zone hot (drink carefully)
40 [deg.] C-45 [deg.] C, threshold zone lukewarm (quick to drink)
-40 [deg.] C, limit value cold (throw it away)
14) temperature status display This can be displayed in various ways. Below a non-limitative description.
visually, use a color code: red -> orange -> green -> yellow -> blue
visually, by representation with alphanumeric characters or pictograms auditory, by certain auditive signals
15) unique setting threshold value or threshold zone temperature
It is possible on a device to provide the option of manually opposing the relevant boundaries / zones by making this accessible via mechanical operation somewhere in a set-up menu.
16) profile-related setting threshold value or threshold zone temperature
In the device it is possible to provide the option of programming different profiles so that by simply selecting a profile it is always possible to "call up" all relevant values quickly.
17) product-related setting threshold value or threshold zone temperature
In the device it is possible to provide the possibility to make various products with the associated values available in a library, so that by simply selecting a product, it is always possible to "recall" all relevant values quickly.
18) remote setting threshold value or threshold zone temperature
The relevant values can be downloaded into the device via the present communication device from an external device. This can be done per food container or per group of food containers or directed towards a personalized container.
19) Exceeding threshold value or threshold zone retention time A piece of software can be provided in the device that gives an alarm signal or an indication signal when a certain threshold value is exceeded or when the food is in a certain threshold zone. The electronics will then always have to compare this setting with its measured values.
Below an indicative non-limitative example of possible zones:
roast meat
OhOO until 04h00, storage time ok
04h00 to 06h00, threshold zone storage time (consume immediately)
+ 6h00, limit value for storage time (give it to the dog)
20) display status storage time
This can be represented in various ways. Below a non-limitative description.
visually, use a color code: red -> orange -> green -> yellow -> blue
visually, by representation with alphanumeric characters or pictograms auditory, by certain auditive signals
21) unique setting threshold value or threshold zone retention time
It is possible on a device to provide the option of manually opposing the relevant boundaries / zones by making this accessible via mechanical operation somewhere in a set-up menu.
22) profile-related setting threshold value or threshold zone retention time
In the device it is possible to provide the option of programming different profiles so that by simply selecting a profile it is always possible to "call up" all relevant values quickly.
23) product-related setting of threshold value or threshold zone retention time It is possible in the device to provide various products with the associated values in a library so that one can always quickly "call up" all the relevant values by simply selecting a product. .
24) remote setting threshold value or threshold zone retention time
The relevant values can be downloaded into the device via the present communication device from an external device. This can be done per food container or per group of food containers.
25) threshold value or content threshold zone exceeded
A piece of software can be provided in the device which gives an alarm signal or an indication signal when a certain threshold value is exceeded or when the food is in a certain threshold zone. The electronics will then always have to compare this setting with its measured values.
Below an indicative non-limitative example of possible zones:
coffee
100% -40%, ok
40% -10%, signal to supplement
-10% empty
26) display status content
This can be represented in various ways. Below a non-limitative description.
visually, use a color code: red -> orange -> green -> yellow -> blue
visually, by representation with alphanumeric characters or pictograms auditory, by certain auditive signals
27) unique setting of threshold value or threshold zone content It is possible on a device to provide the option of manually opposing the relevant limits / zones by making this accessible via mechanical operation somewhere in a set-up menu.
28) profile-related setting threshold value or content threshold zone
In the device it is possible to provide the option of programming different profiles so that by simply selecting a profile it is always possible to "call up" all relevant values quickly.
29) product-related setting threshold value or content threshold zone
In the device it is possible to provide the possibility to make various products with the associated values available in a library, so that by simply selecting a product, it is always possible to "recall" all relevant values quickly.
30) remote setting threshold value or threshold zone content
The relevant values can be downloaded into the device via the present communication device from an external device. This can be done per food container or per group of food containers.
34) measure calorie content
For containers in which homogeneous food is stored (eg liquid food), a calorie sensor can be provided along the inside of the container, which measures the calorific content and transmits it to the electronics. The sensor must come in direct contact with the food.
35) display calorie content
An alpha-numeric or graphic display is provided, which displays the temperature measurement value
36) Calorie measurement system (optional)
In a set-up menu one can see the possibility of displaying the calorific value in different system / units.
37) calculate how many calories you consume (optional)
The device could be provided in such a way that the calorie meter in combination with the content measurement allows the user to "measure" how many calories he has taken up. To this end, the user must indicate by simply operating a signal button "start calorie measurement" when he starts to consume food and subsequently the amount of calories taken can be continuously visualized.
38) time after cleaning.
A timer can also be provided on the device which is operated after cleaning and which thus gives an indication of the time elapsed between the cleaning of the container and its use.
39) Different functions and visualization can be operated or visualized separately or in groups. To this end, "scroll" functions can be provided which are operated by push buttons.
40) One could build the installation in such a way that one can "upload" the measured / registered data to an external device for further data processing.
41) If one conceives the device in the food container in such a way that one can "personalize" it, then one can also start recording / measuring and maintaining personal consumption data. On the other hand, this could lead to personalized management of external boundaries and threshold values and then transfer to the food container.
We are convinced that there is a large domestic and industrial market for these updated thermos because it provides the user with objective information and control.
