Abstract
Two pieces of material (II) with slanting ends are joined together along their long and short length sides by zips (I). A belt comprises two identical pieces of material with a slanting underside at each end and these two pieces are joined together along opposing long length sides with a zip and then again along their opposing short length sides with another zip so that the slanting surfaces face away from each other.

HIP BELT - DESCRIPTION The hip belt consists of 2 equal pieces of fabric, the ends of which are slanted along the underside. This is intended to keep the hips as free as possible when moving the legs.
These two pieces are stitched together with fully opening zippers so that when opening these, you have two separate pieces.
The zippers are stitched with the long sides together. This operation must be repeated with the short edge facing each other.
Then, on one of the two pieces, four shorter zippers are attached to the sloping sides, half of which are stitched on the belt and then half on the pants and the vest, so that when these zippers are closed, everything forms one whole . These zippers must overlap 8 to 9 cm over the previously stitched zippers to simplify the storage of the items of clothing. (see drawings I and II) After the vest and pants have been made, they are adjusted to the belt, taking into account that for both the pants and the vest 1/3 of the circumference is firmly stitched to the belt, in order to tear it off condition.
It is also the intention that we get a straight surface from neck to foot to promote water drainage. Account must also be taken of the fact that the belt is 10 cm shorter than the circumference of the waist. So a stretch of fabric (elastic) should be provided in both pants and vest.
The vest is also provided with a piece of fabric that overlaps the zips of the belt when wearing the vest, so that no water can run between the vest and the belt. (see drawing III) When the two pieces are stitched together, only the sides are separated from each other and care must be taken that the zippers that remain visible are not sewn too close to the belt, so as not to affect their operation. . One should also not forget to install the quick release.
The belt is very practical for all outdoor activities because you can be sure that you always have a water-repellent and windproof vest and / or trousers on hand, which are also easy to use and can be turned into a closed overall in a jiffy.
It also has the advantage that one can wear the vest and pants separately, this together with the belt because they are stitched to it.
The hip belt is fashionable, handy and fast, especially in the mid-seasons.
