Abstract

Detectors are placed around the vehicle to form front, rear, left and right detection zones, with particular emphasis on the blind spot region. These electrically controlled zones are displayed on the dashboard and can be programmed so that the detection distance is related to vehicle speed. The driver is given a warning (e.g. an acoustic signal or a flashing light on the dashboard and optionally around the wing mirrors) when another vehicle or pedestrian enters the blind spot region.

  Dodehoek detectie
Beschrijving :

  Blind spot detection
Description :
Blind spot detection for all vehicles This is based on the placement of detectors especially the dead zone and possibly around the vehicle so that front, rear, left and right detection zones are obtained. (for longer vehicles such as tractor and trailer, divide the long zone into 2 or 3, see sketch p3) The zones can be electronically controlled and displayed on the dachboard, by means of IT and electronics the detectors can be automatically switched on / off by the Determine the range of detection linked to the vehicle speed v.

   b. 0 to 50 km / h The blind spot detection helps the driver by giving a signal through the loudspeaker and flicker on the dachboard and possibly the edges of the side mirrors in the newer models (see sketch p 4) if there is a person or a vehicle is in the dead zone so that the driver will look more closely at his mirror (s) or camera to avoid or give priority to the object or person.

The circumference of the vehicle is divided into different zones according to the size and type (see sketch p3). The signal can have different tones for the zones with a frequency according to the distance of the detected object. These can be arranged to detect from the required maximum distance b. 1800 mm with a tone frequency of 1 opIO sec. and from the minimum distance b. v. 500 mm an uninterrupted tone and via the dachboard and the side mirror (see sketch p 4) zone where the detection of the object or person is displayed.

In addition, this system can be supplemented with 2 automatic cameras aimed at the detection zone.

In practice, for all makes of vehicles, one must use this system with the same coupling fiches so that when changing eg. A trailer, the system must be compatible with the connections and data changes.

Emergency buttons or emergency cable can also be placed (tractor and tractor trailer) to be able to serve in emergency situations, these must give the driver a signal when switched on and possibly brake automatically if the driver does not respond attentively or does not respond.

Conclusions With this system, an atente driver will practically no longer be allowed to cause collisions due to the dead zone. This gives the driver a reassuring and safer feeling of driving around with a big monster. Fewer accidents = less expenditure from insurance rings, mutual insurance companies and etc ... fewer deaths, disabled people and etc ....
