Abstract

The tobacco, in leaf or cut form for making cigars or cigarettes, has its nicotine content reduced or completely removed by the action of tannin. The tobacco is steeped in a concentrated infusion of China tea for up to 60 seconds to extract all the nicotine and 30 seconds to remove half, and then pressed. The liquid from the pressing, containing a high proportion of nicotine, could be marketed as a parasiticide.

  Mon invention concerne un procédé, à base d'un végétal comestible, pour transformer le tabac nocif aux fumeurs en tabac sans nicotine. La nicotine est un des poisons les plus violents. Elle contient aussi plusieurs substances néfastes. 



  Son antidote est le tanin qui forme un composé soluble. 



  On emploiera comme contre poison une infusion concentrée de thé de Chine qui agit par l'acide tannique que cette substance contient. Selon le souhait, on peut obtenir 25%, 50% et même 100% de réduction du taux de nicotine tout en conservant au tabac ainsi traité par mon procédé tous ses avantages aromatiques. 



  Mon tabac sans nicotine est sans danger et il peut convenir pour les cigarettes, les cigarillos, la pipe et scaferlatis. 



  On peut lui ajouter des pigments insolubles dans l'eau tel que l'ocre jaune et le noir d'ivoire, etc. 



  Mon procédé est simple, rapide et efficace. 



  Suivant le présent brevet, ce procédé consiste à traiter le tabac par cette infusion pour le rendre non nocif. 



  Le bain de l'infusion est un antidote à la nicotine. 



  Le degré de nicotine sera pour ainsi dire nul si on laisse le tabac 60 secondes dans le bain de l'infusion et si on le presse, après l'infusion, à fond. 



  Le jus de tabac, noir et épais, peut être commercialisé comme parasiticide car il contient une forte proportion de nicotine. Mon invention éradiquerait les cancers des poumons des fumeurs présents et à venir. 



  Mon antidote est une produit végétal et comestible. 



  Le degré de purification dépend de la dose de thé, de la durée du bain et de la température du bain, mais aussi de la pression exercée sur le tabac après traitement. 



   Si le tabac est traité une minute, et qu'il a été pressé à fond, il contiendra moins de nicotine que s'il a trempé 30 secondes et pressé à moitié.

CLAIMS. My method, explained above, is the only one applicable to obtain a good result and that, moreover, the processing of leaf tobacco is not excluded, but that it takes a little practice and equipment. Cut tobacco requires less labor. Two men are enough to handle the tobacco after roasting, to apply my treatment, then dry this treated tobacco in a heated room for maximum 24 hours, and package it right after.

Tobacco thus treated is a little sweeter and it retains all its taste and color.

Between leaf tobacco and cut tobacco, there is a big difference, it's true, but, with a little experience you can get wonderful results because it does not lose these qualities, and, above all, it doesn’t is more harmful. It remains both in its "natural" but purified state. Practice is everything. Equipment, materials and time are the three main elements of success. My process was studied at length and my numerous researches and tests taught me that I could not deviate from the data and measurements that I discovered on cut tobacco.

During my research, the following results, carried out on cut tobacco "X", were found: Original tobacco, untreated.

Humidity: 16.00% Nicotine on dried tobacco: 2.32% Tobacco treated with my soaked process over 30 seconds.

EXAMPLE OF TREATMENT.

We enclose the tobacco in a cotton canvas and put everything in a tank. The infusion is poured on the cut tobacco for 30 to 60 seconds depending on the degree of purification desired.

The canvas containing the tobacco is then removed to pass it to the press.

The degree of nicotine remaining in the tobacco can be varied according to the processing conditions, its duration, but also by the amount of pressing. EMI3.1

Humidity: 13.00% Nicotine on dried tobacco: 0.86% The tobacco thus treated loses nothing of its value, it is, on the contrary, improved.

This process applies to all types of tobacco; blond, black, for cigarettes, for cigarillos for the pipe as on cut tobacco and scaferlatis.

The invention is not limited to the details above, to the figures and doses indicated, since many modifications can be provided without departing from the scope of this patent.
