De uitvinding zorgt voor het maken van een universele fiets met multifunctionele onderdelen ; welke zodanig kunnen versteld en aangepast worden om met éénzelfde fiets een ideale en aangepaste fiets te monteren voor aile fietsers en het rijden in aile omstandigheden van rijdoel, parcours en rijsituaties, tevens kan men rijdend de zadelpositie in hoogte en afstand van het stuur instellen om een ail-round fiets bekomen en zodoende voor aile rijsituaties een aangepaste ideale zitpositie en zithouding te bekomen zowel bij gebruik van gewoon stuur of overschakelen naar ligstuur Bij de huidige stand van techniek hebben de fietsen een totaal vast frame welke nooit kan aangepast worden naar grootte, vorm, njstijl, grootte van belasting en comfort met aangepaste vering, dit volgens aile fietstypes ;

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
EMI5.3
zitpositie, zitdiepte en zithouding bekomt volgens beoogde rijdoelen en rijsituaties ais rustig rijden, klimmen, spurten, dalen, triatlon, aanvallen, tijdrijden en noem maar op Uit de vele voordelen hier slechts één praktisch voorbeeld uit de paktijk een renner rijdt op souplesse in het peloton kan hij meer naar achter zitten (t en lager ( ;

Nu is een nieuwe gemakkelijker en juistere methode voor het instellen van de ideale zadelhoogte mogelijk ; de huidige methode is onzeker en omslachtig, men moet volgende metingen en berekeningen maken ;

Universal bike with multi-functional fork. tram. seat tube suspension and rear wheel fork.
The invention provides for making a universal bicycle with multifunctional parts; which can be adjusted and adapted to use the same bicycle to mount an ideal and adapted bicycle for all cyclists and riding in all conditions of riding goal, course and riding situations, while driving the saddle position can be adjusted in height and distance from the handlebars to obtain ail-round bicycle and thus obtain a suitable ideal sitting position and sitting position for all riding situations, both when using normal handlebars or switching to recumbent bars. With the current state of technology, the bicycles have a total fixed frame that can never be adjusted in size, shape , nj style, size of load and comfort with adapted suspension, according to all bicycle types;
the bike can certainly not be adjusted while riding, despite the fact that the riding style, sitting posture, sitting position and bike size must always be adjusted for different riding situations, such as quiet riding, tempo riding, triathlon posture, climbing and descending. The bicycle manufacturers still have to make thousands of different bicycles and trams, or cannot make them in order to meet the following questions
EMI1.1
* The correct size, shape and geometry frame according to each individual's size, physique, physical and riding goal. The shape and specifications are good or adapted for each of the many bike types. Special frames and bicycles with mounting option of simple and always adjustable integrated suspension in several places to give the cyclist much more comfort.

Other wheel sizes and bottom bracket heights * that you can adjust over and over again to suit all circumstances according to the person, riding goal, riding style and riding track * A bike that allows you to mount a full range of bikes just by using the right tires to frame as needed. A bicycle for women, children and men.
* A tram and bicycle that you can quickly fold and share for storage and transport. A bicycle that can be made slimmer, lighter and more beautiful, yet strong enough with shock-free parts by installing shock-absorbing wheel, saddle and fork suspension. * A bicycle where everyone obtains a different bicycle version by simply screwing on just one small spare part.
* On all bicycles a simple suspension suspension can be used so that all shocks on the person, saddle and seat tube are eliminated.
* Mount a saddle on every bike that gives better support, for better, rapper and more powerful muscle function and this without all the adverse influences that the current wheel springs cause.

. you can adjust while driving for all riding conditions such as quiet riding, triathlon, attack, sprint, wind up, descend, climb, trim, time trial; making the bike totally au-round and mufti usable
That means, you can always adjust the ideal sitting position and saddle height and seating position while driving, so that at the same time the range of saddle handlebars automatically becomes ideal both in distance and depth, in order to create the right riding style for all conditions.
In all riding situations, the combinations of the correct seat angle, saddle height, seat depth, saddle posture and bicycle length are automatically automatically adjusted, provided that (due to the correct concept of frame) the muscle function always remains optimal and the same. The invention makes it possible to use which meets all of the above questions and data We must therefore speak of a group of inventions which are so interconnected, on a single
EMI2.2
general inventive idea and which together are necessary to obtain the correct new state of the art The general inventive idea is to use only one bicycle that meets all the questions mentioned,
to achieve this result, the bicycle is equipped with multifunctional working and adjustable parts such as frame, fork, steering head, saddle and wheel suspensions, which means that we can always use the same bicycle with the same frame, steering head, fork, rims and brakes, according to the inventive idea. the type and thickness of tires must be adjusted as desired (Table B). This design part also includes that the bicycle is slimmer, lighter and yet strong enough through the use of shock-free parts by mounting with shock-absorbing parts,
the concept of the frame is good for mounting various mounting concepts and suspension elements. To obtain the universal bicycle, the state of the art is complex to ensure that many settings and adjustments can be made to obtain thousands of bicycle models. The main adjustments are
EMI2.3
After all, the following important features and specifications can be adjusted individually and also in all combinations, head angle, trailing, length and height size, seat angle, bottom bracket height, head height, saddle and handlebar height, peer position, wheel size, wheel base, way and operation of the suspension The following specifications of the bicycle are highlighted while driving; seat tube angle saddle height, saddle position, saddle position, bicycle length and seat depth.
EMI2.4
The new state of the art also means that some parts can be mounted hinged or slidable or exchangeable to always obtain the most suitable bicycle for purpose and cost. In this way, you can always obtain the correct bicycle geometry when using all wheel sizes, by exchanging only one piece.
For example, in (Table 104) we see wheels and tires use (37 (20 x 1.) and a lug angle 540 v 60, so we immediately obtain a very short children's bicycle. There is already a patent of mine no. 09400992 where the frame can be adjusted but the setup is very complicated and difficult, new design is based on a much better principle of operation and also very easy to set up and apply to everyone.

EMI3.1
Here we now discuss the technical issue with its problems and solutions. According to the inventive idea, we want to obtain all bicycles with the same frame, front fork, steering head and wheels. We successively discuss the possibilities of frame, front fork, saddle suspension and rear wheel fork. fixed rear fork and same rims (equal bead diameter) front and rear tire Data and geometry for bicycles version III regarding geometry and bottom bracket height for bicycles with fixed rear fork and possibly suspension fork and same rims (Table B)

The different types of bicycles each have a different geometry, that is to say, values change for head tube angle, bottom bracket height, head height, frame length and seat tube seat angle.
As an example, we take the geometry setting for road bikes to M T B.

<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
With the new frame we automatically have the correct values for the road bike; at the M.
TB we raise the front of the frame so that the bike twists 20, this makes the steering head angle 71 and is in order, the bottom bracket increases 15 mm and due to the larger tire size another cens 20 mm so total 15 + 20 equals 35 mm and the bottom bracket height reaches the correct value 300 mm.
Due to the 2 rotation, the front frame together with the steering head is increased by 50 mm, with the M. T B. the steering head is also much higher (50 mm), partly due to the 30 mm longer fork legs with the regular MTB forks and 20 mm through the tire size. In all this, the overall geometry has been adjusted from race to M. T B bike. The seating area immediately changed from 740 to 720.
EMI4.1
With the other bicycle types and also the suspension bicycles, all correct geometry values are always obtained in the same way, in practice you only have to measure the bottom bracket heights per bicycle type at approximately 5 mm, as indicated in Table B. By using the new multifunctional fork, the head height and handlebar height are always automatically selected and necessary for all Set types and bicycle sizes (figure 9).
2 * The multifunctional fork with frame The front fork consists of the existing fork but now without wheel stops, a second fork is now equipped with the wheel stops and supports the wheel. By mounting the 2 forks in 4 places, they can be moved opposite each other by means of 4 suspension brackets. the real fork with steerer tube and steering head can now be placed at all heights to obtain the correct handlebar height in all cases and to adapt it to the tram (figure 9) Because the fork legs consist of cylindrical bars that also run parallel, the brake holder brackets always shift according to the wheel sizes and rims.
The fork with steering head can always be mounted at an appropriate height according to the wheel size, bicycle size, bicycle type and the suspension used
EMI4.2
The big advantage is that in all cases you can use the same short light and steerer tube (10 cm), the short steering head is especially important for smaller road bikes and time trial bikes to keep the handlebar layer. The 4 support brackets mounted on the fork legs are equipped with tensioning the fork without suspension then all the tensioning screws are tightened. One can change the fork use as desired, fixed, only shock-absorbing by mounting and tensioning a shock-breaking elastomer ring on the lower brackets or one can apply the modified suspension to the desired effect and use is adjusted only by loosening the appropriate screws or strain.
The right concepts for frame and fork ensure that all bicycles can also be adjusted very accurately to all lengths and heights. but with an enlarged T-shaped lug which is slidably mounted in 2 directions on the head tube and inclined tube
EMI4.3
(figure 1) The T-shaped lug allows 2 settings to be made at once,
at the same time adjust the frame correctly in length and height and then tighten both brackets. Because the lug can also be moved here on the steering head, it is also possible to use all normal forks with steering head. The 2 parts of the lug are welded to dkMf at an angle of 60 for all ordinary bicycles, when using very small wheels. 20 "or less weld the lug parts under 54, this to have the geometry of these bicycles again correct (figure 10).
EMI4.4
multifunctional fork, the lug can even be welded directly to the adjustable steering head (figure 2). With the new fork, you can also adjust the distance of the wheel spacings to the wheel axle width.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
3C The multifunctional saddle and seat tube suspension The innovation of the new seat tube suspension makes it possible to adjust all desired bicycle positions and sitting posture easily and in one second for all riding situations on all bicycles.
The seat tube is fork-shaped at the bottom, with the fork legs being welded to the seat tube rather obliquely to the front. The fork legs are hinged to the angled frame tube. The location of the hinge points is
EMI5.1
very determined, namely 16 cm away from the bottom bracket at an angle of 65, so the pivot of the seat tube is bright to the left of the saddle, this is necessary and correct, because the saddle increases considerably and just opposite the track and the handlebars at Adjusting the saddle forward, which is immediately very good for o a. a better aerodynamic sitting position with an appropriate and comfortable sitting position for using the aerobar for attacking, time trial riding, tempo riding and wind riding.
When climbing an incline down a slope (because the bike is at an angle) the saddle raises much more opposite the handlebars, which is again ideal. In all cases, the saddle also comes
EMI5.2
just sufficiently closer to the set-up handlebar and according to the slope of the climbing course, the seating position of the cyclist opposite the bottom bracket remains good, especially for better muscle posture and effect of the legs. The value that the saddle increases each time while sliding forward is very precisely calculated and works completely efficiently, quickly and automatically.
In general, the desired saddle heights are always calculated by multiplying the measured inseam length by a factor of 1, the riding goal and the ideal seating positions.The aforementioned correct pivot point for the saddle tube rotation ensures that the desired saddle height value is automatically obtained for each saddle position. seat angles between 65 and 850 opposite the bottom bracket (fig 19) The correct saddle position is also always obtained in the same way, even if the geometry is adjusted for a particular bicycle type. In practice, the saddle tube 10 is held in the correct position and brought by a rod with a rotatable The bracket works approximately like a cable tensioner and washing thread tensioner, so you can achieve all settings steplessly.
In any case, setting any desired saddle position is very easy and quick in a second.
All operation is very efficient, you always get automatically and continuously adjusted and correct combinations of seating angle, saddle height, saddle posture and bicycle size in such a way that you always get the optimal desired
EMI5.3
seating position, seat depth and sitting posture obtained according to intended riding goals and riding situations as quiet riding, climbing, sprinting, descending, triathlon, attacking, time trial and so on. From the many advantages here, only one practical example from the pack a rider rides on flexibility in the peloton can he sit more back (t and lower (;
As leg length) for comfort, if he has to get up to speed quickly (aerodynamic riding for attacks), he shifts the saddle more towards 5 to 7 cm and therefore also higher 3 to 5 cm so that the seating angle is + 80 and the saddle height + 1, 085 leg length, where the whole body twists and the posture of the upper leg becomes: 10 more vertical for more strength and also freedom of movement t. o. v hull Automatically, the combination of the range of saddle-recumbent bar in both length and depth is ideal to obtain both an optimal aerodynamic and comfortable sitting position with good use of the recumbent handlebar (one no longer has to sit on top of the saddle and far too low) (figure 6). With the correct posture for good climbing this is even different and much more important.

EMI6.3
Now we discuss the new suspension concept of the saddle.
The rueuwe correct saddle suspension and support also lends itself perfectly for an efficient working suspension to be integrated for the saddle. With the current bicycles, there are constant frictions and impacts between saddle, back and buttocks, this due to 2 circumstances, a particular each and all irregularities. on the track under both wheels It is also the case that the vibrating current saddle cannot provide any necessary back support, so one has to constantly pull and drag the handlebars, causing a lot of power loss and causing obstructive forces, pains and feeling and back. The new saddle suspension concept solves all these problems, by using a sunpel but the saddle, making it possible to use a better saddle with a small backrest.
The saddle shocks in all bumps, diagonally forward: These jerks have roughly the same direction and track the movement of the saddle suspension when adjusting and springing, making it possible to absorb all shocks in the most efficient way with a spring element. The extension element can be fitted with the same mechanical part as this to adjust the saddle positions (Figure 1 - '' This suspension concept ll1 instead of wheel suspension, absorbs all shocks up to 45 mm height and has many advantages over weed suspension mechanisms. bicycles can have such suspension, the wheels and other parts of the frame become much due to strong shock forces and can therefore make the cyclist slimmer and lighter and still remain strong enough.
The greatest of the many advantages of using the new saddle suspension is whey at all selected saddle positions, the muscle positions and muscle functions always remain ideally the same, for the foot that drives the bicycle because the pivot point of the seat tube lies on the track that the feet describe during the pushing, so the distances driving foot to saddle remain virtually the same in all saddle positions.
For the same reason, the same result is obtained during the suspension of the saddle (Figure 19). 5 The multifunctional with trame The new multifunctional bicycle frame coocept works so efficiently that it not only has infinite usability and choices of applicability in all combinations of size, geometry, width and size. adjustability trembles, but is unique in its ability to use existing and new suspension systems.

With completely the same frame concept and the same fork, no less than six different options are available for rear wheel suspension. The six suspension methods are accomplished by using only a few small pieces for mounting the spring element. Furthermore, the frame concept allows to install dozens of lever structures for suspension rear forks.
Here we only use the six uses of the same chainstay construction a Bicycle with fixed rear fork (Table B), here the upper part of the fork is welded to the frame ni to the small part of the former seat tube that has remained (Figure 1 ( 7)), Guidelines for manufacturer, dealer and driver with spectrophotatles of bottom bracket height according to tire size and bicycle type used for bicycle version IV (Table C)

* Shock-absorbing rear fork assembly, where the fork is welded to the braket and has a simple spring element at the top; here the operation of the suspension is based on the elasticity of the material of the lower rear fork (Figure 16); * Finally, the hinged rear fork can also be used without suspension, this rear fork serves to adjust according to the desired geometry of all bicycles;
EMI8.1
* One of the interesting suspension rear fork structures is a fork where the hinge point is located on the inclined tube about 13 cm from the bottom bracket (Figures 17, 18) show two possible suspension concepts, here is mainly the design, shape and dimensions of the curved center tube section (24), again specially adapted ni. the radius of the curved part is circular (Figure 18 (24)) with the center of rotation of the fork itself (5)

Tables C and D show all geometry for all bikes, according to their tire size. Table C is intended for bicycles with a suspension fork. In this table you can read the bottom bracket heights which must be set to: 5 depending on the correct bicycle type and the tire size and size used.
Table D is also intended for suspension bicycles, but here, by using the same frame, fork, steering head, wheels and brakes, all bicycles can be suspended in 3 places. We find that according to tables B and D the bottom bracket usually differs 10 height (when using the same tires) This difference is necessary and correct and is the basis of the difference in geometry of my frames ni. the hinged rear forks use the same york as the fixed frame, but by mounting with hinge point and using locking bolt a) the bottom bracket is deliberately 15 mm higher b) the rear fork is slightly longer (425 mm instead of 410 mm) when using a suspension fork to keep the geometry even while driving, the head tube angle is further reduced by 10 so that the bottom bracket increases by more than 7 mm.
All this means that with a fully suspended bicycle, the bottom bracket is on average (15 + 7) or 22 mm higher if you wish. Especially when the blocking bolt is removed, the bottom bracket height and geometry can always be adjusted as desired and necessary, after all it is possible to move the shock absorber according to the chosen position of the rear fork.

With reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings, the umversete bicycle according to the invention will now be further elucidated. The figures of the drawings schematically show the side views of the concepts and joint operations for frame, steering head, front fork and rear fork, according to the invention. the embodiments shown in the drawings, a number of details which are indispensable for a clear operation of the constructions, but which are unnecessary for the purpose of clarifying the present invention, have been omitted. These include means for attaching hinge points,
brackets and welding of some parts which in practice are applied to many existing methods Also details such as derailleurs, cables, wheel parts, etc. are omitted for a better overview Furthermore, all drawings or diagrams are shown to scale Because of the countless complex possibilities in bicycle types, bicycle sizes and other embodiments (wheel size, tires, forks and suspensions) in bicycles, one would have to give at least a thousand drawings in order to present them all.
The number of drawings here is very limited to ten special embodiments needed to illustrate the new state of the art and is further supplemented with data from tables B. Figure 1 shows the bicycle type (race) with head angle + 73, bottom bracket 265 mm and tires ETRTO 590 (Table B no 22) The front bike is equipped with the multifunctional suspension fork with lug (1 is slidable both on the headset (22) as on the tram tube (3). The rear fork is completely fixed.

2 3 4 5 * Figure 2 shows mountain bike type (ATB) (Table C no. 102). The bicycle is also equipped with the multifunctional fork, but here lug part (2) is directly welded to the steering head (22), part (1) is unnecessary. The same rear fork is hinged here (31) for suspension with spring element (32).
Connecting piece (30) is provided with locking bolt and lever (34) which slides transversely through frame tube (7). The spring element is held in position by the sliding bracket (33).
EMI10.1
'Figure 3 shows bicycle (no 105 Table C) The bicycle is mounted with very small wheels, the tram has to rotate extra around the rear wheel axle here if you want to keep the bottom bracket at the correct height, therefore a lug welded on 54 i is used here. p. v 60, this to keep the steering angle steering head above 68. The angled tube is pointed steeper upwards and creates an even shorter bike.
* Figure 4, here an example of a very long, large bicycle. The bike is equipped with a regular fixed M TB fork (No. 121 Table B). Figure 5, bicycle according to (Table D no. 146) part (55) supports the spring element here, the suspension can be blocked by tightening the bolt at the top of part (7). The lock cannot be done while driving
Furthermore, the bicycle here is equipped with a traditional suspension fork.
* Figure 6 Seat tube arrangement for use of the recumbent bar in triathlon riding upwind or attacking The sitting position of the person here is 80 i p v. 700 opposite the bottom bracket. The peerage is therefore 70 mm higher compared to the handlebars and the use of the short headset allows the seat depth to be 200 mm. Furthermore, the front fork is mounted here shock-absorbing (travel: 20 mm).
Figure 7, here a front fork is used, very long travel and the arrangement of the rear fork is also intended for long travel. The frame is greatly increased and the bottom bracket is up to 380 mm. The bicycle is intended for downhill races. Figure 8, The climbing percentage is 15% here. The seat tube has been brought forward in such a way that the position from saddle to bottom bracket is 940. Despite climbing 15% (9) here, the person is ideally at 85 above the bottom bracket and because the saddle is raised by 130 mm against the handlebar, the rider can still adopt a fully aerodynamic sitting position to drive as powerful as possible. shows the construction and the extreme settings with the appropriate headset heights according to wheel size and bicycle size.

The invention is now further elucidated with the illustrated embodiments according to the figures. We will discuss in detail one embodiment of the invention, for the most complete explanation reference is made to some of the embodiments shown in the drawings 1 "frame together with front fork: In figure 1 the geometry shown for a racing bike (Table B No. 122) with fixed rear fork and multi-purpose fork The correct connection (mounting) between frame and fork allows for easy geometry adjustment (frame model) as well as proper size of all bicycle types.
Adjust the geometry
EMI11.1
is done by screwing lug part (1) from headset (22) To change the geometry from racing bike to successively city bike, trekking bike, hybrid and M. Part (1) so also part (2) and (3) respectively higher , until the given bottom bracket height according to Table B is reached. The size of each bicycle is adjusted by also unscrewing the lug part (2) from the frame tube (3). The ideal is that the height of the steering head, i.e. the front of the frame, changes as much as the length of the frame, this to obtain a correct size of bicycle Well, because of that frame tube (3) an average of 450, the setting is always ideal, because when the lug part (2) is extended, the lug part (1) increases
proportional in value as the frame lengthens This efficient operation automatically yields all correct handlebar heights according to the bicycle length size in all cases. This method is used especially when using a normal fork, lug part (1) can be omitted, lug part (2) welded directly to the steering head (22) (Figure 2), here the m height adjustable fork (16) now ensures the correct position in height of the steering head (22), this according to bicycle type and bicycle size Lugdelen (1) and (2) are normally welded together at an angle of 60 (Figure 10) When using very small wheels, welding is done under 54 (Figure 3) 2 The multifunction fork together with frame Figures (1) and (9) show the joint edit,
operation and adjustment of the front fork with frame A second fork (15) is now equipped with the wheel stops and supports the wheel. This fork is supported and aligned by four support brackets (21 - 23) which are tightened on the fork (16) by means of mounting bolts with levers (19 - 29) Both the brackets (21 - 23) can be moved on the fork legs (15-16) and also the fork legs
EMI11.2
can be moved opposite each other, so the headset (22) can be placed at all heights. Figure 9 shows that the height difference of the headset can be adjusted up to 280 mm according to choice and necessity and can be adapted to any wheel size.
The M-fork has various functions, not only can the height be fully adjusted, it is also possible to install different spring systems, you can optionally install the appropriate spring elements (18) .In Figure 9, all four brackets have a spring, so that one can distribute the forces One can also set up the fork shock-absorbing as in (Figure 6) The adjusting screws (21) on the brackets at fork (15) can be tensioned completely or free of play at will. In Figure 9 we see that support rings (17-20- 26-28) serve to adjust the springs of your choice.
The brake holder bracket (20) can be moved to adjust the brakes and can even serve to support the spring element.To always align the wheel correctly in the center, one can provide some system with fork legs (16) and the support brackets ( tongue + groove or flat side) to properly align the support brackets
<Desc / Clms Page number 12>
Fork crown (27) serves to give the fork (15) firmness and to be able to adapt the fork width slightly to the wheel axle width. The fork crown is to avoid a slight bend in the steering head. 3 Multifunctional saddle suspension with frame. Figure 1 shows the technical shape and mounting the seat tube on the frame. The seat tube (12) is in the bottom
EMI12.1
the shape of a fork (25) which is provided with hinge points (6).
The tube is placed and held in place. The rod (11) is supported and adjusted by clamping brackets (10 13) with the necessary fastening. Clamping bracket (10) can be moved on tube (9). Bracket (10) can be optionally change or replace as shown in figure 2, here bracket (33) is used which immediately supports the spring element (32). In order to be able to mount another bracket (spare part) on the tram tube (9), the fastening (4) is released and part (9) can now rotate at pivot point (8).
The control rod (11) has a mechanism to change the rod in order to change the rod in length and thus place the saddle in a different position, (also while driving) at the same time a simple spring element is integrated. The operation of this mechanism can work according to many pre-existing principles (Figure 23 - 24) Figure 19 schematically shows the correct operation and the obtained results of the correct seat tube suspension The pivot point (6) is very precisely determined ni at 160 mm from the bottom bracket 65 and indicates various functions the correct saddle tube suspension Pivot (6) is practically located on track (50) which describe pedal and foot when pushing Saddle positions occupied (seat angle 65 to 85) describe all saddle (also when springing) track (52)
EMI12.2
described track (52) with center hinge (6)
ensures the following beneficial effects and results. to foot which drives always remain the same in all respective positions * The distances bottom bracket to saddle do change while following track (52), so we automatically obtain a different distance and the ideal desired saddle heights are appropriate according to the chosen seating angles, so the ideal saddle height at seating angle 65's only and at seating angle 85 the height is also ideal 1, x leg length The ultimate result is that one always obtains the ideal sitting position and sitting position for all
Distances saddle riding situations while riding 'The saddle position not only changes just opposite the bottom bracket and handlebars, but the saddle itself also tilts to the correct value,
to always give the best support, lU1 the rider adapted to riding goals and sitting positions
EMI12.3
* This system also has the suspension describes the saddle again track (52) so that when the suspension during riding again the ûstands pedal and saddle remain the same, so the muscles are free from shocks during the springs * Tracked track (52) is also the movement which ensures efficient suspension.
* These saddle assemblies, together with the suspension, ensure that the saddle now always remains stationary against the rider, so that the saddle can be extended with a small appropriate back support (38). This support provides much better, faster and more powerful muscle reactions of the leg muscles with less use of back, neck and arm muscles for pulling the handlebars
<Desc / Clms Page number 13>
Now a new easier and more accurate method for setting the ideal saddle height is possible; the current method is uncertain and cumbersome, the following measurements and calculations must be made;
pedal thickness, shoe sole thickness, clip pedal thickness, leg length, saddle height calculate and measure, the new method brings the saddle all the way forward and the height is ideal when the leg is fully extended and the foot as much as possible at the lowest pedal position horizontal.
It is also worth mentioning that the fork shape of the seat tube allows the mounting of tube parts (9) (24) and also allows the mounting of all forms of suspension systems and spring elements used, see figures (12 to 18).
4 Multifunctional rear fork with frame.
The design of the new rear fork along with that of the mid-frame frame allows for different possible mounting of suspension systems with the same rear fork construction (Figures 1-12-13-14-15-16) This construction provides a stable fork with sufficient support for the wheel and the drive mechanism. The construction consists of a simple bottom and top fork (14), the spacers (35) (36) provide strength.
Usually pipe section (7 - 24) provides sufficient support to the hinged forks.
Figure (2) shows an example of how the rear fork, together with the center part frame, enables the mounting of a spring element (32). The position of support piece (33) can be adjusted on tube part (9), depending on the length of the spring element and the desired position of the fork The spring element can be mounted and supported on the fork in different ways. According to figure 2 with an extension piece (30) provided with slots in which a locking bolt (34) slides which is arranged transversely through part 7, the suspension can be blocked while driving with the matching tensioning lever (34). For figures (13 - 5) the locking bolt is located on the top of the fork (55 - 56) and also screws into the upper part 7. With connecting brackets and support arms shown in figures (14-15) one can also make a sturdy spring construction.
Figure 16 shows a fork without a pivot point, but at the top the fork is supported by a spring element, which gives a shock-absorbing rear fork. Figures (17 - 18) show a fork with hinge point (5) which is located at 130 mm and 45 at an angle from the bottom bracket.
In Figure 17, elastomeric resilient rings are slid onto the bent tube section (24), because the bent section has center point (5), this operation and mounting is possible.
