<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
VOORDELEN VAN HET PANEEL. a.

(fig.
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
(fig.
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

The invention relates to the construction and prefabricated production of a self-supporting roof panel with the following composition and principle (see fig. 1): a. The supporting structure formed by construction elements according to the calculation of the span to be taken. b. contained in a double-shell cassette consisting of a top panel and a bottom panel, both mounted around the supporting construction referred to in a. c. insulation can be blown into this hollow shell either after the assembly of the shell or introduced during the assembly of the panel.
The panel can also be used in unfilled form, for example for rooms that cannot be insulated, since the insulation does not fulfill a stability or cohesive function in this panel. d. at the top and bottom are slats the thickness of tile battens (22 mm). On the top, these are intended to serve as dust strips on which tile battens can be applied directly on the construction site. At the bottom, e. i. on the inside, these are useful for fixing the inner finish. f. The two heads of the panel are closed with panels, so that a closed tube is created.
Detailed description of the materials required: The currently preferred embodiment will be described in more detail below according to the accompanying drawing (Fig. 2):
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
a. The supporting structure in wooden beams or other material is adapted to the spans, either by dimensioning the section or increasing the number of the beams. b. The panels with which the cassette is formed are at the top and bottom in sheet material of a bendable thickness. It is necessary here that the thickness allows the bending or bending.
Possible materials are hardboard, softboard, plexiglass or sheets of acrylic resin, polycarbonate or the like for translucent elements. All fixings can either be stapled or nailed with stainless fixation. This means: the plates on the beams and the 2 plates on the ends are secured together using the added battens. c. The insulation that has been introduced can vary from blown-in insulation such as cellulose fibers, rock or glass wool, or insulating mats inlaid in rock or glass wool or other insulation materials during manufacture. d. The counter battens ensure that the panels interlock when placed, because they are always 15 cm longer than the width of the panel and thus overlap with the next panel.
They are so stapled on the panel at an angle of 100 to the base, so that during the sliding movement of the panels, the counter battens do not touch each other but intervene next to each other. (see picture no. 3).
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
e. The panel headers are closed for the sake of insulation, but also form clamping pieces between the various supporting elements.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
ADVANTAGES OF THE PANEL. a. The panels can be prefabricated in the workshop, so that weather conditions that can be supplied to the detriment of the classic roof construction, with the known working hour implications, are limited to a short and quick installation on the construction site.
Once installed, the panel is fully rainproof for the time of installation, but also pending the finishing of the roof covering. It will therefore fully fulfill its function as a shelter even after the tiles have been placed. b. Horizontal installation by stacking (fig. 3), parallel to the ridge, from wall to wall or from rafter to rafter, or from wall to other support point. This is typical of the view and makes the installation of purlin beams, wall plates and cams unnecessary. The panels themselves fulfill this self-supporting function. c. Fast assembly due to the stepped stacking, transverse to the roof slope starting at the bottom cf. it

installing roof tiles and other roofing materials in such a way that they can serve as mounting steps for the installers. (fig.
3) d. The typical shape principle (fig. 1 & 3) of the panel ensures that an almost continuous and rigid surface is created after installation. This considerably improves the carrying capacity. The diagonal panel parts sloping in cross-section act as a Saint Andrew's cross or clamping piece.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
f. Lightweight version made possible by the thin panels that, due to their stretched shape, have their own force development. The hollow shape makes it suitable for blowing in insulating molds, for example. recycled paper flakes, etc. g. The overlapping of the slanted ends of the panels, due to the typical shape of the panel, which logically follows the direction of drainage after installation and does not require billowing spraying, etc.
(fig. 3) Once the panels are placed they press themselves by the shearing movement towards the base. Once the different counter battens overlap and the panel connects to the previous one, the counter battens are fixed in the previous panel and a unity with the other panels is created. h. Cold bridges are avoided due to the overlapping shape of the panel and the stacking on the one hand, and the lack of inwardly extending nails or fasteners which are limited to band irons attached to the supporting structure.

COMPARISON WITH EXISTING SYSTEMS:
The roof panels available on the market can always be placed vertically with the slope of the roof, and can also be sprayed on after installation, since the vertical joint lies in the drainage sense of the roof. In the proposed panel, placed horizontally, the panels themselves form the support structure from wall to wall or truss.
Due to the typical shape, the panel becomes a 0 water, cold after installation! and windproof whole that connects without additional spray joints.
