Kielgoot.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Keel gutter.
The invention relates to a gutter, more in particular a gutter as it is used between two roof surfaces which form a slope. o. v. each other.
Such two roof surfaces between which the keel gutter is mounted connect, for example by means of profiles, to the sides of the keel gutter, these sides therefore having a slope which is transverse to the adjacent roof surface.
However, the slopes of these roof surfaces are not always the same, so that different keel gutters must be used, depending on the case.
Not only is this expensive and inconvenient, but it may happen that a suitable gutter is not available for certain slopes.
The object of the invention is a keel gutter that is universal and can be used for different slopes of roof surfaces.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the keel gutter contains at least one basic profile and two auxiliary profiles which are mounted tiltably on the basic profile about a geometric axis which is directed in the longitudinal direction of the keel gutter and against which the roof surfaces can connect.
The slope of the auxiliary profiles can be adjusted to different slopes of the roof surfaces.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The top of the base profile between the auxiliary profiles can form a gutter, but preferably the keel gutter also contains a gutter profile which is fastened to the two auxiliary profiles with its edges above the base profile.
This channel profile is expediently slightly deformable.
The deformable gutter profile can be adapted to the position of the auxiliary profiles, possibly by a deformation.
With the insight to better demonstrate the features of the invention, a preferred embodiment of a keel gutter is described below, by way of example without any limiting character, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: figure 1 schematically represents a perspective view of a part of a building in which a keel gutter according to the invention has been used; figure 2 schematically represents a perspective view of a building in which keel gutters according to the invention are also applied; figure 3 shows a cross-section on a larger scale according to line 111-111 in figure 2; figure 4 shows on a larger scale the part indicated by F4 in figure 3.
Figure 1 schematically shows a building, for example, a conservatory with several spaces 1 which are covered by sloping roof surfaces 2 converging in a ridge.
Where the roof surfaces 2 connect to each other at the bottom, a keel gutter 3 is arranged.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Figure 2 schematically shows a building, for example a veranda, with a first part 4 with a single sloping roof surface 5 and a second part 6 forming an extension connecting to the first part 4 and comprising a pointed roof with two sloping roof surfaces 7.
The roof surfaces 5 and 7, like the roof surfaces 2, are constructed in the usual manner from profiles 8, for instance of aluminum, and panels 9, for example of glass, in particular of double glass, or of plastic, in particular of polycarbonate.
Where a roof surface 7 adjoins the roof surface 5, a keel gutter 3 is also arranged.
As shown in detail in figure 3, a keel gutter 3 according to the invention is a composite profile consisting essentially of a base profile 10, two auxiliary profiles 11 tiltably mounted thereon and a slightly deformable gutter profile 12 fixed above the base profile 10 between the auxiliary profiles 11 is.
The base profile 10 is composed of a lower tube construction 13 and a connecting superstructure which forms a narrower tube 14 and has two outwardly directed and upwardly diverging wings 15 adjoining this tube which have a slightly downwardly rounded rounded edge thickening 16 serving as a hinge pin for an auxiliary profile 11.
Each auxiliary profile 11 consists of a blade 17 which is provided on the side of the wings 15 with edges 18, 19 and 20, the edge 18 connecting to the lower edge of the blade 17, being slightly curved and directly or below
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
intermediate of a seal 21 against the top of the sleeve construction 13, the edge 19 forms a rounded gutter 22 in which the thickening 16 of the base profile 10 is located and the edge 20 is situated against the upper edge of the blade 17 and together with this edge 20 forms a channel 23.
While the base profile 10 and the auxiliary profiles 11 are made of metal, for example aluminum, the gutter profile 12 is made of elastically deformable material, for example plastic.
This gutter profile 12 has a V-shaped bottom 24 and two side walls 25, the edges 26 of which are folded outwards. These folded edges 26 hook into the channels 23 of the auxiliary profiles 11.
The side wall of a gutter 23 located on the side of the gutter profile 12 is provided with a barb 27 inside the gutter which cooperates with a thickened edge 28 of the outer leg of the folded edge 26, as shown in detail in figure 4. On this In this way, the folded edges 26 can be snapped over the side walls of the troughs 23.
The rest of the channel 23 is filled with a sealing profile 29 which rests against the bottom of the panels 9. The profiles 8 of the roof surfaces 5 and 7 abut against the blades 17 of the auxiliary profiles 11.
In order to fit the auxiliary profiles 11, they are placed in a strongly tilted position with their gutter 22 against the thickening 16 of the base profile 1, after which they are tilted to the correct slope, whereby their edge 18 comes into contact with the seal 21 on the basic profile 1.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
The channel profile 12 is clicked, optionally under deformation, with its folded edges 26 into the channels 23 of the auxiliary profiles 11.
Since the blades 17 of the auxiliary profiles 11, which must be oriented perpendicular to the profiles 8 of the roof surfaces 5 and 7, can tilt around the thickenings 16, their slope can be adapted to different slopes of the roof surfaces 5 and 7.
The same keel gutter can therefore be used for different slopes of the roof surfaces 5 and 7.
It goes without saying that the present invention is by no means limited to the embodiment described above and shown in the figures, but such a keel gutter can be realized in all kinds of shapes and sizes, without departing from the scope of the invention.
In particular, the channel profile 12 does not necessarily have to be made of elastically deformable material. It can also consist of rigid material, but can be deformed by its construction, for example because parts thereof can pivot slightly relative to each other at the corners on fold lines.
