<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
(FIG. I. ). (FIG. 2. ). (FIG. 3.).
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

Internal combustion engine with a 2-stroke cycle operating without oil added to the fuel, intake or gas mixture.
The invention relates to an internal combustion engine with a 2-stroke cycle, operating without oil added to the fuel, in the intake or in the gas mixture.
In a classic 2-stroke engine it is the piston that opens and closes the intake or the exhaust, by lights placed in the cylinder. The piston sucks and compresses the fresh gases in the cylinder but also in the crankcase, hence the need to mix the oil with air or the gas mixture or fuel, to lubricate the moving parts.
The 2-stroke engine should be twice as powerful as the 4-stroke engine, because there is an explosion (engine time) every 2 times.
! But a power loss of 20% is due to the oil that is put in the fuel or in the intake. There are also misfires of ignition (candle clogged with oil), blue smoke at the exhaust, bad odor. In addition, the grip of the piston in the cylinder, in case of prolonged deceleration, is frequent. The engine is no longer supplied with oil.
The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.
The invention as characterized in the claims solves the problems of creating a 2-stroke engine operating without added oil in the fuel, in the intake or in the gas mixture. Engine with which on the one hand) there is no lubrication problem, since the base of the engine is the same as a 4-stroke engine. And on the other hand, it is twice as powerful as an engine 4 because there is an explosion (engine time) every 2 times.
In total, the engine is robust, reliable and is 2 times more powerful than a 4-stroke engine for the same displacement. The invention is explained in more detail below, with the aid of drawings (simplified, for the good understanding of the system) representing only one mode of execution.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
The first three figures show, in an operating cup, the engine in accordance with the present invention.
EMI2.1
The fourth and fifth figures show, in section, a variant 1 of the operation of the engine.
With reference to these drawings, the engine comprises, on the one hand:
The same parts as on a 4-stroke engine. Or, a niston (7) sliding in a cylinder (without light) (9) connected to a connecting rod (r3) itself, connected to a crankshaft (r2), which transforms the rectilinear movement of the piston (7) into a circular movement . The cylinder head (3) fixed on the cylinder block (9) receives, the spark plug (5) or the injector (5), the camshaft (s) (I) which controls the opening of the intake and exhaust valves (adm. I8-and step 4), and the intake (r7) and exhaust (2) pipes. Lubrication of moving parts is ensured by an oil pump or (and) by bubbling through the oil pan (IO) (II).
The breather (8) maintains a depression in the casing (IO). And not illustrated, flywheel, segment, etc ...
And on the other hand :
Driven by the engine, every 2 dull, the camshaft (s) (I) control (s) the opening and closing of the intake ('I8) and exhaust (4) valves , and an ignition (I6) or injection (r6) system, ensure the combustion of fresh gases.
Coupled with the engine, an air flower (r4) draws air through the carburetor (I5) or nar the air intake flap (they), and discharges it into the intake manifold (I7) .
The capacity. air flow rate (I4, I9, 20, 2I, or 22) must be equal to or greater than the engine displacement, for one revolution of the crankshaft (I2).
The invention is not limited to one cylinder per engine The cylinder head can have several intake and exhaust soupages, in order to allow the best filling of fresh gas in the cylinder and the best evacuation of burnt gases Operation of the present invention according to the first 3 figures.
An air supply unit which can be a turbine (I4), a compressor (I9), or
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
a pump (20), coupled to the engine, draws in air (depending on the engine speed and the opening of the intake gas flap), the carburetor (I5) or the intake flap d 'air (I5), and discharges it into the intake manifold (I7).
The piston (7 -% - at bottom dead center, the intake valves (I8exhaust (4) open, the intake gases, coming from the air supply (14), enter the combustion chamber (6 ) and push the burnt gases from the cycle proceeding through the exhaust valve (s) (4) into the exhaust manifold (2) towards the exhaust pipe (FIG. I.). The piston (7) goes up. When there is no more burnt gas in the combustion chamber (6), the exhaust valve (s) (4) close (s), then, c it is the turn of the intake valve (s) (I8) .the piston (7) compresses the fresh gases to the top dead center. (FIG. 2.) .Combustion takes place, pushes it back piston (7) down, the exhaust valve (s) open (s), then it is the turn of the intake valve (s) (I8). (FIG. 3 .).
The intake gases push back the exhaust gases, and the cycle continues.
The positions of the valves and the guiding of the intake gases into the combustion chamber are of great importance, in order to have the burner evacuation gas burner.
The closing time of the exhaust valve (s) must be very precise, to avoid wasting fresh gas. This system is rather reserved for the direct or indirect injection engine, in the combustion chamber (example: diesel engine). Because we can send a maximum of air to expel the exhaust gases, wasting air is no problem. The system set out below resolves these protections. operation of the present invention according to the fourth and fifth-3rd figure.
The engine operates in a similar manner as explained above with the first 3 figures.
In the second air supply unit (22) (which may be a compressor, a turbiie, or a pump), coupled to the motor or to the first air supply unit (2I). been placed in the exhaust.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The relaxation of the piton (7) almost finished, (FIS. 4.) the exhaust valve (s) (4) open (s), the air supply unit completely sucks the burnt gases in the chamber combustion (6), the exhaust valve (s) (4) close (s), then the intake valve (s) (I8) open (s) (FIG .
5.) the first air supply unit (2I) (which can be a compressor, a turbine or a pump) sucks the intake gases from the carburetor (I5) or from the air intake flap (I5) and back into the combustion chamber (6), the intake valve (s) (4) closes (s), the piston (7) compresses the fresh gases, until the top dead center combustion takes place , pushing the piston (7) down and the cycle starts again.
The advantage of this system is that it can be used on any 4-stroke engine. In fact, by adapting the ignition or the injection to 2 times, by placing the adequate camshaft (s) and the 2 air flowers, we opt for a 2 stroke engine, outside of a 4 engine. time.
