Abstract
A game element consisting of a frame containing at least one interchangeable particle with information that can be replaced by a similar particle with other information.
Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
(fig. 8).
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

Description: Variable game element The invention relates to a novelty within the field of the games, namely a novel type of game element (fig. 1, 4, 5, 12, 13) which makes it possible to introduce new combinations in all kinds of games.
Essential is a frame in which one or more particles are placed and which can be taken out again according to your wishes or according to the rules of the game in question and replaced by other particles so that stones with new information are obtained.
The shape of the frame can be many. It can take regular shapes but irregular shapes are equally possible.
Flat pieces with three, four, five and hexagons will be easiest to use next to the cube in its dice version. However, a die may, for example, only have two changeable sides and the other four have a fixed print.
In this way new dominoes are also possible, new dice, new teetotums turnstones, new turntables for chance alternations. Dice have always been one of the most used, luck-determining elements of games because the roll of the dice leaves the choice factor to chance, namely which side will determine how the game will continue according to the convention between the players.
In our case it concerns a game element that is changeable and this can be done by firstly reversing the removable sides, secondly by applying / removing pieces (2) by means of magnets (fig. 4 (6)) with the finger nails the piece can come behind via slits that facilitate removal, or thirdly by retractable plates (5) which are fixed in the frame via guides (4). Also, with a simple pressure / clamping system, the particle (2) can be pushed into an opening in the frame (1) by means of a complementary part, or vice versa. (Fig. 8).
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Pawns can also carry adaptable information that can be changed according to the rules of the game.
The traditional game elements in the trade are various full geometric shapes in bone, stone, plastic or wood. The shapes are usually cuboidal rectangular or triangular, but there are also tetrahedral pyramids, eight, ten, and twelve (Dodecahedrons) or even spheres.
Fixed patterns are placed on the surfaces or particles: they are molded via imprint, impression or during the production process.
A game element with changeable particles certainly has advantages because it creates a number of new possibilities both for new games, for luck factor and for playing options. The combinations can be adjusted according to the needs of the player or rules of the game !. The changeable sides are in principle loose but could also be attached to one side via a pivoting point.
Changeable sides are also possible with the different shapes (circle, triangle, square, pentagon, hexagon, etc).
For example, countless variants can be made in function of games or situations in which or where one or more external happiness factors are required. Very essential here is that players have the ability to adjust the luck factor, enabling new logic and strategies. For example, one can change the opponent's spy stone so that he can only perform limited actions.
So the sides can have all kinds of symbols that refer to values, throws or rules of board games.
The printing, imprint or impression can, for example, consist of dots, dots, dashes, crosses, photos, images, graphics, symbols, numbers, letters, formulas, logos, assignments and / or other representations.
The way in which many games can be conceived with this invention, as in this example: a domino game in which each stone has a fixed print, and in which the second information carrier is an interchangeable particle. At the start of play, the players receive a number of loose particles that they may place in the dominoes at their discretion.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The changeable game element can be fitted into board games or form games on its own, and also gives rise to new games where one can buy or bid other particles.
There may also be combinations of stones, eg 16 normal dominoes and the rest interchangeable stones. A new kind of Mah Jong may emerge, and a large number of existing connection games will be renewed and changed. The sides of, for example, squares are placed against each other if they have the same code / color or values. Special versions of the game stones can also be made in special sizes for events or TV programs with special assignments.
