<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
L'invention est décrite ci-après en se référant aux dessins annexés dans lesquels : la Fig. 1 est une vue en plan d'une première forme d'exécution d'un article pour l'hygiène dentaire suivant l'invention ; la Fig. 2 est une vue en plan d'une seconde forme d'exécution d'un article suivant l'invention ; la Fig. 3 illustre la façon dont un utilisateur peut se servir d'un article suivant la forme d'exécution représentée à la Fig. 1 ; la Fig. 4 représente un article suivant l'invention, comprenant un emballage muni d'une pochette pour doigtier ; la Fig. 5 représente un article suivant l'invention, comprenant un emballage muni d'une pochette pour doigtier et d'une pochette séparée apte à contenir un cure-dent ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Article for dental hygiene.
The invention relates to a new type of article for dental hygiene.
In principle, to ensure good dental hygiene, you should take care of your teeth several times a day, and in any case after each meal.
In practice, however, it is often found that many people brush their teeth only in the morning or evening, and sometimes less often.
Many people who leave their home to spend the day in an office or in a public place may feel, especially in anticipation of an appointment, or after taking food, the desire to have a clean dentition and nice to watch.
Ingestion of certain foods causes an annoying sensation on the surface of the teeth.
The individual who experiences an unpleasant impression of uncleanliness of his teeth may suffer from the feeling, subjective but very present, that those around him notice this phenomenon as well as the discomfort which results from it. He may therefore feel insecure, which in certain circumstances, especially during meetings, can have harmful consequences on social behavior.
More simply, we can not bear a lack of hygiene.
However, very often, one does not think of taking with oneself the material usually necessary for washing the teeth, namely a toothbrush, toothpaste and a container such as a cup. In addition, the transportation of this relatively bulky material is often inconvenient.
There are indeed small travel sets, reduced size, which include such elements, some of which are sometimes removable.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
To use them, you still have to find running water, preferably in an isolated place.
After use, the wet brush must be collected, possibly disassembled, and taken away, for example in a closed packaging such as a cup provided with a hermetic lid, which is neither practical nor very hygienic.
To overcome the current difficulty of effectively and discreetly cleaning your teeth during the day, you can chew gum, or rub your teeth surreptitiously, with a corner of tissue or a paper towel, or even more prosaically with a finger.
None of these solutions is really effective or absolutely hygienic, therefore neither satisfying for the individual.
One can also think of using a mouthwash, which refreshes the breath, but does not allow to mechanically clean the surface of the teeth to remove the disturbing traces left by food.
The invention aims to remedy all these problems by providing an article for dental hygiene easy to use between two brushings, discreet, hygienic, and effective.
The invention also aims to provide such an article which is for single use, and which one can get rid of without difficulty.
The subject of the invention is an article for dental hygiene which comprises a disposable fingerstall, the internal face of which is capable of conforming to the shape of a finger, and the external face of which is capable of exerting a mechanical cleaning action on the tooth surface.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
This may have the shape of a thermowell open at one end, or a sleeve shape open at both ends.
The fingerprint in question can be made of a material such as for example one of the following: true fabrics, non-woven fabrics, polar fabrics, felts, and combinations of these different structures.
The material used can be for example cellulose, regenerated cellulose, different types of paper, any suitable polymeric material, for example nylon, and any combination of these different materials.
The finger-pad according to the invention can optionally be provided at its base with a holding means, for example gathers.
In a preferred embodiment, the internal face of the finger is treated with an anti-slip material chosen, for example, from rubbers and other elastomers.
Suitable lacquers and varnishes can also be used for this purpose.
The external face of the finger can have a smooth, rough, velvety or hairy configuration.
The article for dental hygiene according to the invention may further comprise a packaging in which is provided at least one pocket containing a finger-pocket.
The finger cot can be impregnated with a cleaning agent, such as sodium monofluorophosphate, limestone powder, sodium cocoylmethyltaurate (a product intended to combat the effects of nicotine), and mixtures of these products.
The packaging of the article may possibly comprise at least a second pouch which may contain an accessory for dental hygiene such as for example a toothpick or dental floss. It may also include one or more additional pouches, which may contain a liquid, pasty or powdery product, for example
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
For example, water, a smoothing product suitable for dental hygiene, toothpaste or a product intended to combat the effect of nicotine.
Preferably, each pouch of the packaging is provided with a notch facilitating its opening.
Preferably, two or more pouches that are part of the same package can be detachably combined.
The invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a plan view of a first embodiment of an article for dental hygiene according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a plan view of a second embodiment of an article according to the invention; Fig. 3 illustrates how a user can use an article according to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1; Fig. 4 shows an article according to the invention, comprising a packaging provided with a pocket for a finger-pocket; Fig. 5 shows an article according to the invention, comprising a packaging provided with a pocket for a finger-pocket and a separate pocket capable of containing a toothpick;
Fig. 6 shows an article according to the invention, comprising a package provided with a pocket for a fingering-box, and with a separate pocket capable of containing dental floss and FIG. 7 shows an article according to the invention, comprising a package provided with a pocket for finger cots, a separate pocket suitable for containing toothpaste and another separate pocket suitable for containing a rinsing liquid.
The finger 1 shown in Figure 1 is
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
made of non-woven fabric. In the embodiment shown, this finger pad 1 is obtained from a cut of nonwoven fabric folded back on itself and closed along a connection surface 2.
Provision may be made for fixing the two ends of the cut and obtaining the shape of a thermowell any suitable means such as, for example, pressing, welding, or gluing.
When materials that are suitable for molding are used, it is not necessary to provide a connection.
Preferably, the fingertip 1 can flatten on itself, so as to occupy as small a place as possible.
Figure 2 shows an alternative embodiment of a finger pocket 3 in the form of a sleeve open at both ends. It is also possible to provide a finger-pad according to the invention having the shape of a semi-closed ring (not shown in the Figures).
It will not depart from the scope of the invention to use finger cots of shapes slightly different from those which are illustrated in the figures, provided that they can be adapted correctly on a finger. In particular, provision can be made for finger cots of variable lengths, which can cover an area equivalent to that of a simple ring, or on the contrary cover the whole of a finger, which allows hygienic and effective cleaning even for the teeth implanted in the bottom of the buccal cavity.
The finger cots 1,3 according to the invention are of course preferably for single use.
They are preferably made of biodegradable material.
FIG. 3 illustrates a usual way of using the finger-stand according to the present invention.
Although this is not specifically shown in the figures, provision may be made for
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
shown in the figures, it is possible to provide means for increasing safety during this use, and for example one can provide the base of the finger box 1 with gathers which will prevent the finger box from taking off during rapid movements on the teeth.
FIG. 4 represents an article for dental hygiene according to the invention comprising a finger stall 1, presented in a package 4, provided with a pocket 5 and a notch 6 intended to facilitate opening.
This notch 6 can have the shape of a V, as illustrated, or consist of a simple slot.
Different types of design for this item are possible.
In an extremely simple version, the finger pad 1,3 is made of biodegradable material, for example cellulose wadding, is dry and does not contain any particular product in addition to the material of which it is made.
The packaging 4 may in this case also be made of a biodegradable material, such as for example paper.
In this case, the cleaning action exerted on the teeth by the finger 1 ,. 3 is purely mechanical.
The entire article can be discarded without harming the environment.
In a more sophisticated version, the packaging 4 can be waterproof, so that the pouch can contain a liquid, pasty or powdery product, and include one or two layers of different materials, for example an internal layer of plastic or aluminum. , and an outer layer which can serve as a support for a printed message, for example paper.
The outer face of the fingerboard 1.3 may be lightly impregnated with wet toothpaste or liquid to facilitate chemical cleaning of the teeth. Preferably in this case, the finger stall will be kept in a humid environment in the packaging 4.
For use in the presence of a source
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
running water, the finger can also be packaged in the absence of a humid environment (but nevertheless protected from excessive drying thanks to the waterproof packaging) and be impregnated with toothpaste on its external face. It should of course, then, be wet when in use.
It can also retain on its external surface a product which attenuates the effects of nicotine, for example baking soda, or tooth powder.
In another variant, it can be impregnated with a solution usually intended for mouthwashes.
The pouch 5 can also contain a breath freshener. Different choices of perfumes are possible, for example menthol, chlorophyll, lemon ...
Figures 5 to 7 illustrate different variants of articles according to the present invention, which may be preferred according to the tastes of each or the circumstances of use.
For example, the article shown in Figure 5 also includes a pocket 7, which contains a toothpick 8, and the article shown in Figure 6 also includes such a pocket 7, which contains dental floss 9. Of course , the invention also covers a package which comprises two pockets 7 containing one a toothpick 8 and the other a dental floss 9.
The article for dental hygiene according to the invention represented in FIG. 7 comprises, in addition to the pouch 5 which contains the fingerpot 1, an additional pouch 10 containing a dose of paste or toothpaste and an additional pouch containing a dose of rinse aid, for example water.
The article in question may also include pockets containing a toothpick or dental floss.
This embodiment, while being practical, easy to transport and use, makes it possible to maintain satisfactory dental hygiene.
