<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

"Obturation system, especially for bay"
The present invention relates to a shutter system in particular for bay and, in particular, for a bay provided with a closing device with an opening part, such as door, window, snuff box.
Bay shutter systems, such as shutters, blinds, etc. are well known, as well as their use in combination in the same bay.
Until now, when it is desired to fill a bay with different shutter elements, we are content to add conventional shutter elements. This procedure, when authorized by the nature and / or state of the bay, presents various drawbacks, among which there is the congestion resulting from the juxtaposition of separate and independent sealing elements. , the limitation imposed on the freedom of operation of the opening part of a door or a frame, lining the bay, the installation difficulties and the external appearance of the assembly.
The object of the invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to provide a compact shutter system which uses different shutter elements and which can be easily integrated and mounted in practically any type of rack, without alter the appearance and without limiting the use of the opening part or parts of a closing device arranged in the opening, regardless of the position occupied by the above-mentioned closure elements.
To this end, according to the invention, the shutter system comprises two shutter elements of the opening which are of different natures, chosen from blinds, mosquito nets and shutters, and which each have a sufficient surface area.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
to close off the entire opening, each of these closing elements being mounted, by one of its ends, on a shaft, these shafts being arranged so as to be able to rotate around their axis in two parallel boxes, arranged along two opposite edges of the opening, so that the free ends of the elements opposite their shaft move in opposite directions, either to close the opening or to release the latter,
means being provided for guiding and maintaining each of the edges of the shutter elements which extends in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the shafts, as well as means arranged on said shutter elements so as to allow their immobilization in position partial or total obturation chosen.
According to one embodiment of the closure system according to the invention, the aforementioned means, provided for guiding and maintaining the edges of said closure elements, are assembled to the aforementioned boxes so as to form with them a non-deformable frame intended to be fixed, substantially parallel to the above closure device, either in the aforementioned opening, or directly to the dormant part of said closure device.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the object of the invention, the aforementioned free ends of the two closure elements have means arranged so as to allow their assembly.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the closure system according to the invention, the aforementioned boxes and the means provided for guiding and maintaining the edges of the closure elements are arranged so that these two elements move substantially in the same plane, these latter means being common to said sealing elements.
Other details and particularities of the invention will emerge from the description of the drawings appended to this specification and which represent, by way of nonlimiting examples, two particular embodiments of the shutter system.

tion according to the invention.
Figure 1 is a schematic view, in elevation and partially broken, of the shutter system according to the invention, associated with a window with an opening part, the two shutter elements being shown in the position they occupy when they open the window in which the window is mounted to the maximum.
Figures 2 to 4 are schematic views of the shutter system corresponding to 1 Figure 1 and show different positions that can occupy the above two elements when closing the bay.
Figure 5 is a schematic view, in elevation and partially broken, of a variant of the closure system shown in Figures 1 to 4, the latter being associated with a snuffbox and its two closure elements are shown in the position that they occupy when they clear the bay in which the snuffbox is arranged.
Figures 6 to 9 are schematic views of the shutter system corresponding to Figure 4 and show different positions that can be occupied by the two elements of this system when they close the bay.
In the various figures, the same reference notations designate identical or analogous elements.
The closure system according to the invention is more particularly intended to be associated with a bay 1 in which is arranged a closure device 2 with an opening part 3, such as a door, window, snuff box, etc., in order to allow the bay to be temporarily closed when the part 3 of the device 2 is open, for example for ventilation, at least one of the blocking elements 4 and 4 'above of the system being permeable to air. However, this shutter system could also be used either to seal openings without a closing device, or to delimit closed spaces, for example on terraces.
The closure system according to the invention and
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
illustrated in the drawings includes the two obturation elements 4 and 4 ′ which are of different natures, taken from the range of shutters, blinds or mosquito nets and which each have a sufficient surface to completely close the bay 1 and this, so that this total closure can be achieved by at least one of the elements 4 and 4 '. Each of these elements is mounted, by one of its ends and in a manner known per se, on a shaft 5, 5 ′ which can rotate around its axis, on the one hand, against a spring 6 when the element 4,4 'moves to close the opening 1 and, on the other hand, under the action of the spring when the element moves to release said opening.
The shafts 5 and 5 ′ of the elements 4 and 4 ′ are supported in two parallel boxes 7 and 7 ′, which are arranged along two opposite edges of the bay 1, so that the free ends 8 and 8 ′ of said elements 4 and 41 move in the opposite direction when the latter either seal the bay or release it.
Said system comprises means 9 arranged to guide and maintain the lateral edges 10 of the elements 4 and 4 ′ as well as means 11 arranged on these elements so as to be able to immobilize them in the closed position, total or partial, chosen.
The aforementioned means 9 are advantageously assembled to the boxes 7 and 7 ′ in order to form with them a non-deformable frame, which can be prefabricated and which can be easily fixed, as shown in the drawings, substantially parallel to the closure device 2, either in bay 1, or on the dormant part 12 of said device 2.
In the embodiment of the system illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, the boxes 7 and 7 'as well as the aforementioned guide means 9 are arranged, to reduce the size of said system to a minimum, so that the two elements d shutter 4 and 41 move in the same plane, the means 9, which will be described below, being camuns to said elements.
This embodiment of the system, including
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
obturation elements 4 and 4 ′ are advantageously constituted by a mosquito net 13 and a blind 14, allows, by maneuvering these elements, to release the bay 1 (see FIG. 1), to completely seal the bay with the mosquito net 13 (see Figure 2), completely close the window with the blind 14 (see Figure 3) and close the window with the screen 13 and the blind 14 (see Figure 4).
So that the shutter produced using the system illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4 is impermeable to insects when the elements 4 and 4 ′ occupy one of their positions shown in FIGS. 2 to 4, means 15 are arranged to ensure the assembly of said elements, all along their free ends 8 and 8 '.
In the embodiment of the shutter system illustrated in Figures 5 to 9, the boxes 7 and 7 'and the means 9 are arranged so that the two elements 4 and 4', which can be constituted by a mosquito net 13 and a shutter 16, move in two parallel planes. This procedure makes it possible to obtain, as shown in FIG. 8, a double obturation of the bay. To obtain a seal against insects, the means 9 are arranged, in 17, so that the free ends 8 and 8 ′ of the elements 4 and 4 ′ can be applied along their edges on the boxes 7 and 7 ′, aforementioned means 15 can also be provided for assembling the ends 8 and 8 ', all along their edge, when the closure elements 4 and 4' occupy their position illustrated
EMI5.1
in Figure 9.
The aforementioned means 9 are advantageously constituted, on the one hand, as shown in the drawings, by two parallel sections 18, of preferably closed cross section, which are fixed to the ends of the boxes 7 and 7 ′ and which extend in a direction perpendicular to the axes of the shafts 5 and 5 ′, each presenting either a longitudinal groove 19 (embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4), or two parallel longitudinal grooves 19 (form of
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 5 to 9) in which or which is inserted, so as to be able to slide therein, one of the edges 10 of the closure elements and, on the other hand, by a cross member 20 fixed to the free end 8, 8 ′ of each of the closure elements 4,4 ′ in order to be parallel to the axis of its shaft 5.5 ′.
This cross member 20 has, at each of its ends, a guide member 21, such as a stirrup, cooperating with the corresponding profile 18 to slide on the latter while keeping the cross member 20 parallel to the axes of the shafts 5 and 5 '.
The aforementioned means 11, which make it possible to immobilize the elements 4 and 4 ′ in the chosen position, can be constituted by friction members 25, which are arranged on the cross member 20 associated with each of the free ends 8 and 8 ′ of the elements d closing, these friction members being arranged to bear simultaneously, when the element 4,4 is in the chosen position, under the action of a single control 22 provided on said cross-member 20.
As shown in Figure 1, the aforementioned means 15 ensuring the assembly of the elements 4 and 4 ', along their free ends 8 and 8', can be constituted by a magnetic bar 22 'fixed to the crosspiece 20 of a elements and cooperating with a corresponding metal mass 23 fixed to the cross member 20 of the other element.
To absorb the noise that could cause the impact of the crosspieces 20 on the boxes 7 and 7 ', these crosspieces are provided, on their face facing the boxes with a layer of material 24, preferably elastic, chosen from among the materials known for dampen noise.
It should be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the embodiments described and that many modifications can be made to these without departing from the scope of this patent.
This is how one could in particular use elements 4 and 41 with motorized control.
