<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The invention relates to a self-propelled lawn mower with collecting tank, characterized in that it comprises: a drive motor for the rotation of the cutting blade and traction; a collecting tank placed on the upper part of the engine into which opens a pipe bringing the cut grass from the cutting area; an additional air intake device placed above the cutting blade.
In practice, lawn mowers generally allow the mowing of lawn surfaces in parks and pleasure gardens. The cut grass can be automatically picked up and collected in a side or rear collection bag.
The cut grass can also simply stay in the field and be picked up later with any hand tool.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
With this configuration, and taking into account mainly the location of the collecting tank, a certain difficulty of collection and handling is real, mainly by the effort to be provided by the user for the emptying of the collecting tank and also the handling in the difficult places.
In addition, in the case of a collection with a collecting tank, the result obtained is not always very satisfactory and effective as the user would like.
The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks. The invention as it is characterized namely: that it is provided with a motor having a mechanical output to allow traction on the front wheels via a transmission chain on the one hand, and on the other hand for the rotation of the cutting blade.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
to know: that it is provided with a tilting collecting tank placed very effectively on the upper part of the engine.
In this tiltable collecting tank, the piping leads which brings the cut grass from the cutting area. to know: that it is provided with an additional air intake device placed above the cutting blade, to favor the ascent of the herbs in the collecting tank placed on the upper part of the engine The advantages obtained thanks to this invention essentially consists in that the collecting tank being disposed on the upper part of the engine, this tank does not unbalance the behavior of the mower either laterally or backwards, and allows very good handling in difficult places. Its fixing on hinge and its valve allow a very easy emptying of its contents.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
In addition, the collecting tank is tiltable to empty its contents practically without any effort on the part of the user. Another advantage also is that the location of the collecting tank being effectively positioned right in the center of the machine, the dimensions of the collecting tank and thereby its volume, can be much larger compared to a conventional mower tank, requiring also much less repeated oil changes during use.
The invention is set out below with the aid of drawings representing an embodiment.
Figure 2. shows, on a reduced scale, a side view (side) of the machine (mower) equipped with its collecting tank as described according to claim.
Figure 1. shows a plan view which shows very well the central arrangement (between the wheel space) of the collecting tank, and thereby, these handling possibilities in difficult places.
