Brander-verhitte inrichting.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
stromingsbeveiliging.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
In fig. 4 is de uiteindelijke vorm van
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
4 weergegeven in fig. 5. In fig.
Fig. 6 toont evenals fig.

Burner-heated device.
The invention relates to a burner-heated device, in particular a water heater, with a tubular flow protection tapering in the direction of flow and a combustion gas pipe connecting to the smallest end thereof.
Burner-heated devices, which are equipped with a flue gas discharge, are usually provided with a flow protection device. The flow safety device must ensure a safe discharge of combustion gas under all flow conditions, in order to prevent a significant adverse effect on combustion. To this end, the shape of the flow protection is conical in the direction of discharge of the combustion gas.
At the smallest end of the flow protection, a combustion gas pipe is connected to it, which establishes the connection to the chimney. The production of a necessarily gas-tight connection between the flue gas pipe and the
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
flow protection. Clamp connections or inverted combustion gas pipes often fail to meet this requirement due to unavoidable manufacturing tolerances. A flow protection with a welded-in support ring for holding the flue gas discharge pipe is further known. In addition to the inaccuracy of the welded connection, the sharpness thereof is also a particular disadvantage, as a result of which there is a considerable risk of injuries during installation.
The object of the invention is fundamentally to improve a flow protection for a burner-heated devices in such a way that a gas-tight connection of a combustion gas pipe is in any case effected while eliminating the risk of injury.
In addition, it is intended to indicate a method for manufacturing such a flow protection.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the edge part of the smallest end of the flow protection is meandering inwardly, with a downwardly directed middle part and a projecting substantially upward. end section, between which the combustion gas pipe is placed.
A method according to the invention for manufacturing the flow protection is based on that
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
a tubular, conical tapered body is bent inward at its smallest end and an end portion of the bent end is bent up again.
By bending twice, an S-shaped end part is created, which is particularly advantageous for connecting a combustion gas pipe to it. The upwardly projecting end part connecting to the downwardly directed central section forms a stable support ring directed towards the internal space of the flow protection, whereby the tube of the combustion gas pipe can be pushed up to the bending point between the central section and the end section. The combustion gas pipe is thereby also protected against an unwanted longitudinal displacement, in particular against a downward sliding in the flow protection.
According to a favorable embodiment, the downwardly directed middle part runs for a number of times, in particular six, the wall thickness substantially parallel to the upper part of the flow protection. This creates an annular gap between the middle part and the wall part located in front of the bending site.
Preferably, the upwardly projecting end portion is shorter than the downwardly directed middle portion. The
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The top edge of the hollow tubular flow guard is thereby formed for the bending site between the center section and the conically widened section of the flow guard.
In one embodiment of the invention, the upwardly projecting end portion may be provided with a radially inwardly directed component along its length. The end part inclined upwards in this way forms a hollow cone-shaped support ring, so that flue gas pipes which are too small can also be used. The combustion gases flow along the inner surface of the end part and enter the combustion gas pipe without having to pass through a gap, a collar or the like pipe connection leading to leaks.
In the manufacture of the flow protection device, according to the invention, a tubular, conical tapering body is repeatedly bent at its smallest end. The body can be easily obtained by wrapping a sheet strip and welding or seaming it to the body.
Advantageous further elaborations of the invention are further indicated in the subclaims, or in the following which are further indicated on the basis of the description of the preferred embodiment of the invention, which
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
is shown in the drawing.
In the drawing: Figures 1, 2 and 3 show different steps during the manufacturing process of an embodiment of a flow protection according to the invention; Fig. 4 is a side view of a flow guard; Fig. 5 shows a detail of an edge part of the flow protection device according to FIG. 4 with the combustion gas pipe indicated therein; and FIG. 6 shows a top view of the flow protection device according to FIG. 4.
Fig. 1 shows a pipe part for manufacturing a flow protection. This tube part was wound from sheet strips into a hollow conical body 1 and joined by means of a spot welding connection 2. The body 1 is then deformed by means of a pressing tool so that the end section 3 with the largest diameter has a substantially square cross-section, while the opposite end section 4 is pressed into a cylindrical end section 5. This part shown in Fig. 2 is then further modified by meandering the cylindrical end part 5 twice. The associated process phases are shown in Figures 3 and 4. In Figure 4, the final form of
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
the end section 5 of the flow protection device is indicated.
By bending the end part 5 twice, a downwardly directed middle part 6 and a substantially upwardly projecting end part 7 are formed. The middle part 6 was bent downwards by 1800 and thus runs parallel to the flow direction of the combustion gases. The end part 7 connecting to the central part 6, on the other hand, slopes upwards, so that the flow cross section in the region of the end part 7 is slightly reduced. Such a shaped end part 5 of a flow protection device is shown on an enlarged scale and in cross-section as a detail of Fig. 4 in Fig. 5. Fig. 5 additionally shows a wall 8 of a flue gas pipe.
A ring spigot 10 remaining between the middle part 6 and the part 9 of the end piece 5 adjoining the conical widening part of the flow protection allows easy placement of the flue gas pipe even when its diameter tolerances are fully utilized. This effect is further enhanced by the deflection of end part 7.
Fig. 6, like FIG. 4, shows the complete flow protection, but in top view.
The invention is not limited to the above described preferred embodiment. Rather, there are a number of variants
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
conceivable in which use is made of the indicated solution, also in principle in different versions.
