<EMI ID=2.1>

Connecting piece for connecting a stem or handle with a hand tool. Provide a hand tool with such a connecting piece.
The present invention relates to a connector for connecting a stem or handle to a hand tool, in particular brushes and pullers.
Most of these tools have two main parts; on the one hand the body of the tool, which for instance carries the bristles with a brush, and on the other hand the handle or handle with which the tool is to be held. For constructional and practical reasons, such as for easy replacement of a broken stem, each of those main components is a separate piece, which is interconnected with an adapted connector.
A known connecting piece consists of a neck which, for example, is inserted into the top of the body of the tool and whose inner surface is provided with a screw thread in which the end of the handle or handle can be screwed.
The advantage of this known connecting piece is that the connection can be established in a simple and quick manner. A drawback of this known connecting piece, however, is that the screw connection can come loose during use of the hand tool, for instance if the body of the tool is hit somewhere on one side.
Another known connecting piece consists of a hollow element attached to the body of the tool, the portion of which extends outside this body is threaded, both on the outside and on the inside, and which is connected to a cap that can be slid over the stem or handle and is threaded on the inside, so that this cap can be screwed onto the hollow element.
This connector has the same drawbacks as the previous one. In order to remedy this, it is also known to provide the upper part of the hollow element with a pliable toothing, so that when the cap is tightened on the hollow element, this toothing presses against the retracted stem or handle, so that the connection of the stem with the tool.
However, the drawback remains that when the tool gets stuck by some obstacle, due to a tensile stress exerted on the shank, the pressure of this cap serration on the shank disappears and also loosens again.
The object of the invention is to provide a connector which, on the contrary, absorbs the pressure of the connector when pulled on the stem.
The connector according to the invention which is composed of two elements, one hollow element which can be attached to its lower end to the body of the tool and which is provided with an internal screw thread for attaching the shank and with an external screw thread on which the second element, the cap, which can be screwed on, is characterized in that the hollow element is provided at its upper end with at least two cut-out blocking strips.
Another feature of the connector according to the invention is that those blocking strips, which are fixed with their upper side at the end of the hollow element, their lower part, which is bendable relative to the cylindrical outer surface of this hollow element, have an increasing thickness which extends outside this cylindrical outer surface of the hollow element.
Other features and advantages over the connector of the invention will be apparent from the <EMI ID = 1.1>
example, preferred embodiment of the connecting piece according to
<EMI ID = 2.1>
Figure 1 is a perspective drawing of a Thistle provided with a connecting piece according to the invention, the hollow element of which is screwed to the body in which the brush stem still has to be screwed in and with the cap of the connecting piece according to the invention still being inserted above the handle and screwed to the hollow element of the connector according to the invention. Figure 2 is a section of the hollow element of a connector as shown in Figure 1. Figure 3 is a section of a brush provided with a handle attached to the brush with a connector according to the invention. Figure 4 is a perspective view of the Body of a brush provided with a hollow element of a connector according to the invention.
As an example of the implementation of a connecting piece according to the invention of a land tool to be connected with a handle or handle, a brush (1) is taken, as shown in figure 1, composed of a body (2) to which the ear hairs (3) ) are attached. In the center of the upper surface of the body (2) of the brush (1) there is an ilindrical housing (4) that is inclined to

screw thread is provided.
In this cylindrical housing (4) of brush (1)

Basic element of the connecting piece according to the invention.
The connecting piece according to the invention is composed of two elements: a hollow element (5), a section of which is shown in figure 2 and a cap
(6).
The hollow element (5) of the connecting piece according to the invention consists of three parts (Fig. 2), the bottom part (7) which is provided with an external and an internal thread, the central part (8) which is also provided with an external and internal thread and an upper part (9) which is provided with four cut-out blocking strips (10). These blocking strips (10) are part of the top edge (11) of the hollow element (5) with their top and are bendable around this top edge (11). The blocking strips (10) have a greater thickness towards the bottom (12). These blocking strips (10) are pushed with their bottom (12) into the inner space of the hollow element (5) by radial pressure.
While the outer thread of the lower part (7) of the hollow element (5) of the connector according to the invention is used to screw the connector firmly onto the cylindrical housing (4) of the brush (1), the inner thread tunes of the lower part (7) and of the central part (8) of the hollow element (5) correspond to the screw thread with which a stem
(13) is provided on one of its ends and is used to tie the stem (13) to the brush (1) by means of the connector according to the invention.
Once the stem (13) is screwed into the hollow element (5) in its lower and central parts, respectively (7) and (8), the cap (6) of the connecting piece according to the invention is inserted, whereby the stem (13) has been retracted , and of which the bottom part
(14) has an internal thread, which corresponds to the outer thread of the central part (8) of the hollow element (5), screwed to this hollow element, against a disc (15) which connects the lower part (7) of the separates the central part (8) of the hollow element (5).
By screwing on this bottom part
(14) of cap (6) on the central part (8) of the hollow element (5) (fig. 3), presses the inner corner of the top part (16) of the cap (6) against the blocking strips
(10) of the top portion (9) of this hollow member (5) defined by the diameter of the top edge (11) of the hollow member (5).
This pushing force of the cap (6) on the blocking strips (10) pushes these blocking strips (10) against the stem (13) and increases the binding of the stem (13) with the hollow element (5) of the connecting piece according to the invention, and of course with brush (1) itself.
Because the blocking strips (10) have a wedge shape and are attached to the top edge (11) of the hollow element (5), any pulling force that would remove the stem (13) from the body of the brush (1) is counteracted from the fishing hook principle by the blocking strips (10) of the hollow element (5) of the connecting piece according to the invention. It is only by unscrewing the cap (6), which allows the blocking strips (10) to return to their original position, that the stem (13) can be released.
In a further development of the connecting piece according to the invention, the hollow element
(5) an integral part of the body (17) of a brush (fig. 4), ie the lower part (7) of the hollow element (5) is identified with the cylindrical housing (4) and can only be removed by breaking off the hollow element (5).
This has the advantage that once the stem is screwed into the hollow element (5) with the cap (6) screwed on, it can no longer be removed by unscrewing the hollow element (5) from the body.
(17) from brush (1), but only by first unscrewing cap (6).
For this purpose, cap (6) can be provided with slots (18), which allow to hook some key to it both for screwing on and for unscrewing.
