Abstract
L'acétonitrile brut contenant des impuretés est purifié par addition du produit brut et d'un agent oxydant tel le permanganate de potassium à un cuve de reflux 2 d'une unité de distillation à bain. Si le niveau d'alcool est élevé une petite quantité d'acide phosphorique est ajoutée. Le mélange est chauffé pendnt au moins une demi-heure à une température d'au moins 40 degrés C. Une base telle que le phosphate de sodium est alors ajoutée et le mélange est chauffé à reflux. Le stade final du procédé de purification fait intervenir l'addition d'un agent déshydratant tel que le pentoxyde de phosphore et le chauffage du mélange à reflux. Un très grand degré de pureté d'au moins 99.8 % est ainsi obtenu.The crude acetonitrile containing impurities is purified by adding the crude product and an oxidizing agent such as potassium permanganate to a reflux tank 2 of a distillation unit in a bath. The final stage of the purification process involves the addition of a dehydrating agent such as phosphorus pentoxide and heating the mixture at reflux. A very high degree of purity of at least 99.8% is thus obtained.
