Abstract

The wheeled toboggan, designed for use on slopes with no snow covering, consists of a frame (1-3) with low-pressure pneumatic-tyred wheels (5) at front and rear which are steered in the same way as a skateboard. On each side of the frame there is a single stabiliser wheel (6) to help maintain balance, and the main wheels are equipped with a braking system. The brakes are in the form of a control handle on the front of the toboggan which operates metal pads pressing against the surface of the tyres.

  Description
 EMI1.1

  La luge se compose des éléments suivants : - un châssis tubulaire composé : d'un tube cin- tré 1 cylindrique fixé sur un axe longitudi- nal 2 tubulaire de section rectangulaire, par quatre jambes de force 3 - deux axes de roulement 4 sont boulonnés sur   l'axe   longitudinal ces deux axes sont direc- tionnels selon le principe du skate board ;

  Description
 EMI1.1
 The invention relates to a toy for children or adolescents of the luge or soap box type operating in a similar manner to a traditional luge but adapted to allow easy use on all - sloping land without snow. To do this, the skates of the traditional luge are replaced by 4 wheels with low pressure tires, arranged in pairs, on two directional axes using for the direction, the principle of skateboarding.

  We know the traditional toboggan Åa skates paallèles, usable in lying position or sitting on snowy slopes.

  We also know the skateboard Åa rollers usable on level and hard terrain, flat or sloping.

  Finally, a number of pedal go-karts and a set of directional front wheels are sold.

  The object of the present invention is to give the
 EMI1.2
 possibility of sledding on all-terrain slopes not covered with snow: the invention as it is characterized in the claims, allows not only the descent directed on slopes but also the use of the sledge on sloping lawns or others sloping surfaces which are not perfectly level.

  The advantages obtained thanks to this invention consist essentially in the diversity
 EMI1.3
 grounds for using this sledge at any time of the year and in particular the ski slopes in summer.

  The directional principle used gives it attractiveness and maneuverability, the braking system and the stabilizers provided, making use very harmless. The invention is set out below in more detail

  FIG. 1 represents the plan view of a sledge produced in accordance with the present invention.

  Figure 2 shows a side view of the sledge: Figure 3 shows a cross section of the sledge.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

  The sledge is made up of the following elements: - a tubular chassis composed of: a curved tube 1 cylindrical fixed on a longitudinal axis 2 tubular of rectangular section, by four struts 3 - two rolling axes 4 are bolted on the longitudinal axis these two axes are directional according to the skate board principle;

   they are fitted with freewheels with low pressure tires 5 - two stabilizing rollers 6 are fixed by screws or bolts to the chassis and prevent the tilting of the sledge in the event of too much lateral tilting
 EMI2.1
 - a canvas with rings stretched by cords between the lateral tubes of the chassis constitutes the seat of the sledge - it is not shown in the drawing the braking system is not, for reason
 EMI2.2
 clarity sound, shown in the drawing; i1 consists of a control handle placed at the front of the sled, which by a set of rods, acts on metal pads which are crushed on the treads of the rear tires when braking.
