Metalen vat.
EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Metal barrel.
EMI1.1
This invention relates to a metal vessel, more particularly of the type consisting of a cylindrical element closed near its axial end d. m. v. thin-walled lids which are mainly attached to them in radial planes, at least one of these lids being provided with one or more openings, respectively filling and / or pouring openings.
The radial walls or lids of metal vessels are known to exhibit a convex outward deflection, mainly through their use. It is therefore clear that such barrels are difficult to empty completely. After all, in the pouring position, in which the vessel is completely inverted, liquid will remain in the bent lid.
It is also known that with metal drums the pouring opening, in order to provide the necessary fastening means for one
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
sealing cap or the like is provided at some distance from the edge of the metal vessel. Obviously, if the metal vessel is poured at a certain angle, a significant amount of liquid remains in the vessel, which is difficult to pour.
The present invention therefore has as its object a metal vessel which does not have the aforementioned drawbacks.
To this end, the invention relates to a metal vessel of the type consisting of a cylindrical element which is closed near its axial ends d. m. v. thin-walled lids, mainly fixed in radial planes, at least one of which is provided with 1 or more openings, respectively filling and / or pouring openings, characterized in that the lid provided with the pouring opening contains at least one part sloping towards this pouring opening.
In a preferred embodiment, such an inclined part is formed by a circular push-through arranged in the respective lid towards the outside of the vessel, the push-through of which t. o. v. the radial plane in which the lid is mounted is largest in the vicinity of the pouring opening. The embossing is preferably situated concentrically. o. v. the rim of the vessel.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
The use of a lid which is provided with one or more inclined sections as described above has the advantage that the last liquid can run up to the pouring opening and that the vessel can thus be emptied completely.
With the insight to better demonstrate the features according to the invention, a preferred embodiment is described below, by way of example without any limiting character, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: figure 1 shows in cross section the metal vessel, or at least the part thereof contains the lid; figure 2 represents a view according to arrow F2 in figure 1; figure 3 schematically represents the pouring out of a vessel according to the invention.
Figure 1 shows a vessel consisting of a cylindrical element 1 which is closed near its shown axial end 2 d. with a thin-walled lid 3, provided with a filling opening 4 and a pouring opening 5, respectively. These openings are provided with means 6 and 7, known per se, consisting of collars, for arranging plugs. According to the present invention, the lid 3 is provided with sections 8 and 9 inclined towards the pouring opening 5.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
As shown in figure 2, the inclined portion 8 is preferably formed by a circular push-through 10 arranged in the lid 3 towards the outside of the vessel.
The bottom of this push-through 10 is flat, but is not radial. o. for the longitudinal axis 11. As shown in figure 1, the largest indentation D is the inclined part
8 situated at the level of the pouring opening 5.
The circular push-through 10 is preferably concentric t. o. v. the shape of the lid 3 is arranged, while the radius R is substantially equal to the distance A at which the pouring opening 5 from the longitudinal axis 11 of the vessel is placed.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, a countersink or compression 12 is preferably arranged around the pouring opening 5, over a small area, the wall or bottom 13 of which is situated radially. o. v. the vessel and wherein this countersinking 12 is arranged over a distance or depth T that is greater than the aforementioned depth D. The radial t. o. for the vessel situated countersinking 12, allows the longitudinal axis 14 of the pouring opening 5 to remain parallel to the longitudinal axis 11 of the vessel when the means 7 are arranged.
EMI4.1
As shown in figure 3, it is clear that the vessel according to the invention can thus simply be fully poured without any problem. It is clear that the invention also
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
relates to vessels, the lid of which has several inclined parts 8, which slope towards different openings when the vessel is poured, respectively.
In a special embodiment, only the galvanization or push-through 12 will be used, which after all also promotes the flow of the liquid to the pouring opening 5.
The present invention is in no way limited to the exemplary embodiment shown in the figures, but such a vessel can be realized in various shapes and sizes without departing from the scope of the invention.
