Manual distribution apparatus are known. Such devices comprise of a roller applicator operated in a vertical direction, or a paint brush operated in a horizontal direction or plane. Such apparatus are time consuming, are not accurate and may ':io even be dangerous if performed upon a ladder.
Object of the Invention o It is the object of the present invention to overcome or substantially ameliorate the Sabove disadvantages andlor more generally provide an improved distribution apparatus/device and method of distributing or applying a substance.
Disclosure of the Invention SThere is disclosed herein an apparatusldevice for distributing or applying a i substance upon a cornice using a roller having moving and/or rotating elements, said apparatus comprising SA devicelapparatus, said device being adapted to be affixed to or otherwise S 20 supportable upon an extension to distribute or apply said substance from a vessel, said vessel containing or adapted to contain said substance.
iS,,
;I
I ,t Preferably, said device/apparatus, is in the form of a roller or the like, having an applicator contoured to the shape of cornice, to be adapted to be affixed to or otherwise supportable upon an axle or two part axles. Preferably, said axlels would have a means to or provision to be adapted to be affixed to or otherwise supportable upon a frame, Preferably, said frame would have means to or provision to be adapted to be affixed to or otherwise supportable upon a handle. Said frame may also have a provision or preferably would have, for a means to attach rollingfrotating wheels or the like.
Preferably said handle would have a provision for an extension to be adapted to be ,lio affixed to or otherwise be supportable upon said handle.
Preferably, said extension would have a means or provision for said handle to be adapted to be affixed to or otherwise be supportable upon said extension. Preferably said vessel would be in the form of a tray or the like, with a provision to i accept the contoured shape of the said applicator. Said vessel would also contain is said substance.
There is further disclosed herein a method of distributing or applying a substance upon a cornice or other surface, the method (comprising of operating the above apparatus/device in a conventional manner) allowing said substance to be distributed upon the cornice or other surface.
-1 -Ir 4 Handle 6 will have provision to accept extension with a snap-on or other enteri engaging means by which it can be clipped, received, screwed onto/into, or otherwise attached to.
1 Wheels may be attached to, have a means to be adapted to be affixed to or otherwise supportable upon frame Wheels will roll against the edge of cornice O to enable accuracy. Vessel would have a provision for applicator 0 and would Scontain said substance. To accept the applicator vessel would have a provision Sthat was contoured to the shape of applicator In the example shown in Fig 1 axle has a washer between applicator and i 1to frame Washer is between frame and clip m,.
i. It should be appreciated that modifications and alterations obvious to those skilled in the art are not to be considered as beyond the scope of the present invention.
