Abstract

The invention concerns a demolition method and equipment suitable for all types of buildings without any height limitation, not requiring explosives, performing demolition by causing the upper storeys to collapse on the lower storeys, without exceeding the building ground premises and thereby not requiring a safety perimeter to be evacuated, hence reducing implementation costs. The demolition equipment is characterised in that it comprises at least two bottom sheaves (5), two anchoring elements (6), a hoisting cable (7) and a traction winch (8), the two bottom sheaves being fixed on two parallel supporting walls (2) by means of the anchoring elements, one in the upper part and the other in the lower part, and the hoisting cable passing over said two sheaves, one (7a) of its ends being rigidly fixed to one of the supporting walls (2) and the other end being linked to the traction winch (8) arranged on the ground and remote-controlled. The invention is applicable to the demolition of buildings more than 15 storeys high.
