Abstract

1. Claims for the Contracting states : BE, CH, DE, FR, GB, IT, LI, NL, SE Formaldehyde-free aqueous plastics dispersions based on a crosslinkable polymer of ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing N-methylolamide and/or N-methylol ether-amide groups, characterized in that the dispersions contain a compound of the formula I see diagramm : EP0143175,P11,F1 in which n = 0 or 1, N = oxygen, -CH2 -, -CH(R)- or -N(R)-, R representing (C1 -C4 )-alkyl or (C1 -C4 )-alkylol, and R**1 and R**2 denote H or OH. 1. Claims for the Contracting state : AT Process for the preparation of formaldehyde-free aqueous plastics dispersions based on a crosslinkable polymer of ethylenically unsaturated monomers containing N-methylolamide and/or N-methylol ether-amide groups, characterized in that aqueous crosslinkable polymer dispersions containing N-methylolamide and/or N-methylol ether-amide groups, prepared in the usual manner, are mixed with a compound of the formula 1 see diagramm : EP0143175,P12,F1 in which n = 0 or 1, X = oxygen, -CH2 -, -CH(R)- or -N(R)- R representing (C1 -C4 )-alkyl or (C1 -C4 )-alkylol, and R**1 and R**2 denote H or OH.
