Abstract

1. A flexible stringer strip (1) of hard elastic material for a racket having stretched strings, in particular a tennis racket, the strip having string-protecting sleeves (2) arranged at a definite distance (9) apart and made in one piece with the stringer strip (1), characterized in that the stringer strip (1) in each portion of the stringer strip between two string-protecting sleeves (2) exhibits at least one expansion portion (3) such that under tensile loading of the stringer strip (1) in the direction of its longitudinal extent only or essentially only the said expansion portion (3) is able to expand.
