Description

COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT SMITHS LIFT TROLLEY The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: SMITHS LIFT TROLLEY The invention relates to an improved trolley to move items from one location to another.
Many boat or water craft owners face the problem of transporting their water craft in and out of the water as present trailers or trolleys require the craft to be lifted or winched on to the trolley or if the water level is sufficient to be floated on or off its trolley this task usually requires the assistance of another person or a lot of physical force by the operator, or worst of all requires the use of designatedboat launching ramps. In materials handling, items have to be lifted on to pallets or other trolleys in order to transport them. Existing boator watercraft trolleys also have the disadvantage of only carrying the item it is intended to so multiple trolleys are needed to move multiple items These problems are overcome by the present invention which provides a trolley which is wheeled over the top of the object and has the ability to lift the object to be moved from the ground or water with very little effort required from the operator, wheeled to its new location and then placed which frees up the trolley to lift another object. the smiths lift trolley is made of a suitable rigid material large enough to fit over the object to be moved and with suitable wheels fixedto the lower side and a handle of similar rigid material extends forward which is braced in a manner so as to make thehandle rigid to the trolley and suitable attaching hook, device or system is fastened at the top of the trolley. To attach the trolley to the object to be moved.
The trolley can be made adjustable to suit a number of different applications or different objects or can be kept simple to suit only one type of object.
To assist with understanding the invention reference will now be madeto the accompening drawings which show examples of the invention.
In the Drawins: FIG. 1 shows one example of the Smiths Lift Trolley according to this Invention.
FIG. 2 shows a typical item to be moved.
FIG. 3 shows the Smiths Lift Trolley positioned over the top of the item to be moved.
FIG. 4 shows the Smiths Lift Trolley being tilted in order to attach the item to be moved to the trolley.
FIG. 5 shows the Smiths Lift Trolley tilted back to the original position which lifts the object from the ground or surface it was on.
