CLL A SMART COOKING DEVICE AND ITS PROCESS THEREOF FIELDOFTHEINVENTION
The present disclosure relates to cooking appliances. In more details, the present disclosure relates to asmart cooking device and its process thereof.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Having food is one of the most essential part of ones living. With hotels, restaurants closed during pandemic and other viral diseases, it gets difficult for students,and bachelors to cook food for themselves within a short span of time. Moreover,many people are not aware of cooking. Due to lack of awareness in cooking, a lot of wastage in food takes place. There are various cooking devices available in the market, but these devices are incapable of cooking food by maintaining required amount of ingredients. In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there exists a need to develop a smart cooking device and its process thereof.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present disclosureseeks to providea smart cooking device and its process for cooking various foods in less time with minimal efforts and safety.
In an embodiment,a smart cooking device is provided. The devicecomprises:
a display unit for displaying a graphical user interface for selecting food category, food item & quantity of the food; a controlling and processing unit in connection with the user interface for turning on a heating unit and timing unit upon receiving selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; an oil valve in association with a liquid ingredients compartment for pouring required amount of oil on a cooking unit according to the selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; a dry ingredients compartment for addition of dry ingredients; a mixing mechanism for mixing of ingredients time to time for even cooking of ingredients of the selected foods, wherein vegetables and main ingredients are added through the dry ingredients compartment after confirmation of proper mixing of the ingredients and thereafter mixed properly; and an audio and visual indicator equipped with an alarm for indicating a user after completion of proper cooking to inform about ready to eat food.
In an embodiment, a power supply unit is in connection with the device for providing electrical energy to the display unit, controlling and processing unit, heating unit and mixing mechanism.
In an embodiment, a mechanism unit for operating the mechanism of the device as per selected food category, food item & quantity of the food. In an embodiment, the food category includes dry and wet, wherein the food item includes poha, vegetable, rice, halwa and so on.
In an embodiment, the dry and liquid compartments are capable of storing required amount of dry and liquid ingredients along with oil, wherein the user is able to cook the food by pouring all the ingredients at starting in order to save time.
In another embodiment, a process for smart cooking. The process comprises: selecting food category, food item & quantity of the food by using a graphical user interface; activating a heating unit and timing unit automatically upon receiving selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; pouring required amount of oil on a cooking unit according to the selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; adding dry ingredients by using a dry ingredients compartment and mixing ingredients time to time for even cooking of ingredients of the selected foods; adding vegetables and main ingredients using the dry ingredients compartment after confirmation of proper mixing of the ingredients and thereafter mixing the ingredients properly; and indicating a user after completion of proper cooking to inform about ready to eat food.
In an embodiment, steps for cooking poha comprises: soaking the poha and thereafter selecting and separating ingredients; selecting the selecting food dry, food item (poha) & quantity of the food by using a graphical user interface; turning on smart cooking instrument 10 sec before and thereafter releasing 50ml oil on a cooking unit with the help of oil valve; keeping smart cooking device on low heat and after 10 sec, mix dry ingredients in it; mixing all dry ingredients with the help of mixing mechanism and if dry ingredients are not properly mixed, mix another 5sec; adding vegetables and frying for 10sec and thereafter adding soaked poha; mixing all the ingredients properly with the help of mechanism and thereby keep smart cooking instrument on medium heat for 5min, wherein after proper cooking, smart cooking instrument will indicate through an alarm.
An objective of the present disclosure is to provide secured cooking
Another object of the present disclosure is tomakelife more convenience and saving time especially in the kitchen.
Another object of the present disclosure is to improve the quality and consistency of the meals cooked.
Yet another object of the present invention is to deliver anexpeditious and cost-effectiveprocess for smart cooking.

Embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to Figure 1, a block diagram of a smart cooking deviceis illustrated in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.The device 100 includes a display unit 102 for displaying a graphical user interface for selecting food category, food item & quantity of the food. The graphical user interface shows the plurality of food names along with images or stickers.
In an embodiment, a controlling and processing unit 104 is in connection with the user interface for turning on a heating unit and timing unit upon receiving selected food category, food item & quantity of the food. The timing unit such as a timer keeps the record of running time of the heating unit to deliver proper cooked food.
In an embodiment, an oil valve 106 is in association with a liquid ingredients compartment 116 for pouring required amount of oil on a cooking unit 108 according to the selected food category, food item
& quantity of the food. The required amount of oil is poured by selecting the required amount of oil using the graphical user interface through the display unit 102. The heating unit is a metallic rod or a coil attached with the cooking unit 108.
In an embodiment, a dry ingredients compartment 110is used for addition of dry ingredients. The dry ingredients compartment 110 is made up of either metallic or nonmetallic material. In an embodiment, a mixing mechanism is used for mixing of ingredients time to time for even cooking of ingredients of the selected foods. Vegetables and main ingredients are added through the dry ingredients compartment 110 after confirmation of proper mixing of the ingredients and thereafter mixed properly.
In an embodiment, an audio and visual indicator 118is equipped with an alarm for indicating a user after completion of proper cooking to inform about ready to eat food. The audio and visual indicator 118 speaks and shows the notification " Food is ready" for a user defined period of time such as for 10 seconds. When the food is ready the device 100 turns off automatically in order to save electrical energy.
In an embodiment, a power supply unit 114 is in connection with the device 100for providing electrical energy to the display unit 102, controlling and processing unit 104, heating unit and mixing mechanism.In an embodiment, a mechanism unit 112is used for operating the mechanism of the device 100 as per selected food category, food item & quantity of the food. In an embodiment, the food category includes dry and wet, wherein the food item includes poha, vegetable, rice, halwa and so on.
In an embodiment, the dry and liquid compartments 110, 116 are capable of storing required amount of dry and liquid ingredients along with oil, wherein the user is able to cook the food by pouring all the ingredients at starting in order to save time.
Figure 2illustrate a flow chart of a process for smart cooking in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. At step 202, the process 200 includes selecting food category, food item & quantity of the food by using a graphical user interface.
At step 204, the process 200 includes activating a heating unit and timing unit automatically upon receiving selected food category, food item & quantity of the food. At step 206, the process 200 includes pouring required amount of oil on a cooking unit 108 according to the selected food category, food item & quantity of the food.
At step 208, the process 200 includes adding dry ingredients by using a dry ingredients compartment 110 and mixing ingredients time to time for even cooking of ingredients of the selected foods. At step 210, the process 200 includes adding vegetables and main ingredients using the dry ingredients compartment 110 after confirmation of proper mixing of the ingredients and thereafter mixing the ingredients properly. At step
212, the process 200 includes indicating a user after completion of proper cooking to inform about ready to eat food.
In an embodiment, steps for cooking poha comprises a first step for soaking the poha and thereafter selecting and separating ingredients. A second step for selecting the selecting food dry, food item (poha)
& quantity of the food by using a graphical user interface.
A third step for turning on smart cooking instrument 10 sec before and thereafter releasing 50ml oil on a cooking unit 108 with the help of oil valve 106. A fourth step for keeping smart cooking device 100 on low heat and after 10 sec, mix dry ingredients in it.
A sixth step for mixing all dry ingredients with the help of mixing mechanism and if dry ingredients are not properly mixed, mix another sec. A seventh step for adding vegetables and frying for 10sec and thereafter adding soaked poha.
An eight step for mixing all the ingredients properly with the help of mechanism and thereby keep smart cooking instrument on medium heat for 5min, wherein after proper cooking, smart cooking instrument will indicate through an alarm.
Figure 3 illustrates an architecture of a smart cooking devicein accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The person having less or no knowledge of cooking is able to cook food perfectly with minimal effort. The device 100 allows bachelors to cook their own food at home and have a good meal. So they will not have any problem. This recipe is very simple, and user can make breakfast in a very short time. This will be of great benefit to the bachelor boys.
Figure 3 includes a dry ingredients compartment 110, a liquid ingredients compartment 116, a heating unit, a timing unit, a graphical user interface, a mechanism unit 112, an audio and visual indicator 118, a cooking unit 108, a mixing mechanism, a controlling and processing unit 104, and a power supply unit 114. The dry ingredients compartment 110 receives dry ingredients and the liquid ingredients compartment 116 receives liquid ingredients. The user selects food using the graphical user interface. The heating unit and timing unit is activated simultaneously after selecting the food. The cooking unit 108 cooks the food properly by mixing the ingredients with the help of mixing mechanism. The controlling and processing unit 104 controls the attachments and process the device 100 as per selected food. The audio and visual indicator 118 informs the user as soon as food gets ready. The power supply unit 114 provides electrical energy to the device 100.
Figure 4 illustrates a process chart of a smart cooking devicein accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. Figure 4 illustrates the process chart of smart cooking device for cooking poha.
Ingredients of the poha includes 1 and 1/2 cups Poha (beaten rice flakes) (thick to medium flakes)(100 gm), 1 medium onion finely chopped (50g), 2 to 3 green chilies slit or chopped (10g), 1 spring curry leaves (0.5g), 1(20gm/50g) medium potato (optional) cubed to 1/2 inch (or 1/2 cup mix veggies), 1 and 1/2 tablespoons oil (50ml), 3 to 4 tablespoons peanuts or cashews (20gm), 3/4 teaspoon mustard seeds (2gm), 3/4 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera) (2gm), 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (add more if needed for color) (3gm), 1/3 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste) (3gm), and 1/2 to 1 tsp sugar (optional) (1gm).
Steps for cooking poha using the smart cooking device 100 includes a first step for soaking poha into a water. A second step for selecting and separating all the ingredients. A third step for desired selecting food. A fourth step for turning on smart cooking instrument 10 sec before. A sixth step for releasing 50ml oil in it with the help of oil valve 106. A seventh step for keeping smart cooking instrument on low heat. An eight step for mixing dry ingredients after 10 seconds. A ninth step for mixing all dry ingredients with the help of mechanism. If dry ingredients are not properly mixed, mix another 5sec. Then add vegetables and fry it for sec. Then add soaked poha. A tenth step for mixing all the ingredients properly with the help of mechanism. An eleventh step for placing smart cooking instrument on medium heat for 5min. After proper cooking, smart cooking instrument will alarm. Then turn off the smart cooking instrument. Remove poha in the plate.
In alternate embodiment, a communication unit such as Wi-Fi can be used in the device in order to operate the device far away from the device using a computing device such as cellphone. The user is able start cooking of food before reaching the home so that he/she can have the food as soon as he/she reached the home.

Claims (7)

WE CLAIM:
1. A smart cooking device, the device comprises:
a display unit for displaying a graphical user interface for selecting food category, food item & quantity of the food; a controlling and processing unit in connection with the user interface for turning on a heating unit and timing unit upon receiving selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; an oil valve in association with a liquid ingredients compartment for pouring required amount of oil on a cooking unit according to the selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; a dry ingredients compartment for addition of dry ingredients; a mixing mechanism for mixing of ingredients time to time for even cooking of ingredients of the selected foods, wherein vegetables and main ingredients are added through the dry ingredients compartment after confirmation of proper mixing of the ingredients and thereafter mixing properly; and an audio and visual indicator equipped with an alarm for indicating a user about completion of proper cookingto inform about ready to eat food.
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein a power supply unit is in connection with the device for providing electrical energy to the display unit, controlling and processing unit, heating unit and mixing mechanism.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1,comprises a mechanism unit for operating the mechanism of the device as per selected food category, food item & quantity of the food.
4. The device as claimed in claim 1, whereinthe food category includes dry and wet, wherein the food item includes poha, vegetable, rice, halwa and so on.
5. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the dry and liquid compartments are capable of storing required amount of dry and liquid ingredients along with oil, wherein the user is able to cook the food by pouring all the ingredients at starting in order to save time.
6. A process for smart cooking, the process comprises:
selecting food category, food item& quantity of the food by using a graphical user interface; activating a heating unit and timing unit automatically upon receiving selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; pouring required amount of oil on a cooking unit according to the selected food category, food item & quantity of the food; addingdry ingredients by using a dry ingredients compartment and mixing ingredients time to time for even cooking of ingredients of the selected foods; adding vegetables and main ingredients using the dry ingredients compartment after confirmation of proper mixing of the ingredients and thereafter mixing the ingredients properly; and indicating a user after completion of proper cooking to inform about ready to eat food.
7. The process as claimed in claim 6, wherein steps for cooking poha comprises:
