Abstract

The Mask Headband is headwear with a zippered compartment that allows an individuals facemask to be secured forstorage or use with convenient access. The soft touch flexible buttons are designed to be above and infront of a persons ears. So when the facemask is coveringthe mouth and nose the facemask earstraps do not need to sit overa persons ears and avoid irritation orinterference with headphones, earphones, earbuds, hearing aids or safety equipment. It can be worn as individual headwearor under/ below a cap, hat, helmet orsafety equipment.

Description

[0001] The Mask Headband is a headband designed to be worn as individual headwear or under / below a cap, hat, helmet or safety equipment. With a compartment across the front of the headband to store and secure an individuals choice of facemask (PPE). A pair of attachments inside the extremities of the compartment are positioned to allow a facemask to be conveniently secured for storage or use without ear contact. The headband is designed to allow a facemask to be worn without the facemask earstraps causing irritation or interfering with headphones, earphones, earbuds, hearing aids or safety equipment.
SPECIFICATION
1. DESCRIPTION
[0002] 1.1 The Mask Headband is suitable to be worn as individual headwear or under/below a cap, hat, helmet or safety equipment. The Mask Headband has a compartment across the front of the headband that provides storage and securing points for a facemask. A pair of attachments inside the extremities of the storage compartment. Allow the earstraps of a lacemask to be secured for storage when closed , or for the facemask to be used when the compartment is open.
[0003] The facemask (of an individuals choice) can be brought down to cover a person's nose and mouth. The positioning of the pair of attachments are designed to be approximately over the ears, to avoid irritation or interference with headphones, earphones earbuds, hearing aids or safety equipment.
[0004] 1.2 The best method for using the Mask Headband is to have your choice of facemask, disposable or reuseable. Secured inside compartment when the mask is not in use (with the facemask earstraps secured by looping them with the pair of attachments). And closing the compartment for storage and protection. When the facemask is to be worn, open the compartment, the facemask is already secured with the pair of attachments. Lower the facemask to cover the mouth and nose at personal discretion, or to meet legal requirements. When appropriate the wearer then returns their facemask to the storage compartment to store and protect the facemask.
[0005] When securing the earstraps with the pair of attachments. It may be more secure to cross each earstrap over itself to create a loop before securing the earstraps with the pair of attachments.
[0006] 2.1 The Mask Headband is inventive and distinctive from existing products because it provides a protective compartment with securing points for a facemask. So the facemask earstraps remain secured when the facemask is being stored or when being used. The Mask Headband is designed to be worn as individual headwear or under/below a cap, hat, helmet or safety equipment. The Mask Headband is designed to allow securing, storage and use of a facemask without contact with the wearers ears, to avoid irritation or interference with headphones, earphones, earbuds, hearing aids or safety equipment.
[0007] 2.2 Technical features include, as illustrated in the diagram;
1. Zipper compartment for a facemask (of an individuals choice) to be secured for convenient access and use or stored for protection. 2. Tapered headband design for low profile so it can be worn under / below a cap, hat, helmet or safety equipment. 3. Internal buttons (flexible and soft touch) inside the compartment to secure the facemask for storage or use. The position of the buttons is designed to avoid irritation of the ears or interference with headphones, earphones, earbuds, hearing aids or safety equipment when the mask is worn. 4. Illustrates the mask covering the mouth and nose without the earstraps needing the ear to secure the mask and avoid irritation of the ear.
[0008] - The Mask Headband is a one size fits all adults product with an additional child size made of stretch fabric. - It is 60mm high and 250mm long when laid flat. - The zippered compartment (invisible zip or otherwise) secures, stores and protects the
facemask.The buttons are 210mm apart. - The zippered compartment is 50mm high and 230mm wide and able to expand upto 20mm
deep to store a facemask.'
