TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention refers to the field of deratting appliances, in
particular to a deratting device for Myospalax fontanieri.
BACKGROUND
Myospalax fontanieri, commonly known as blind rate, field rate or original
Myospalax fontanieri, is widely distributed in Shaanxi, Gansu, Inner Mongolia
and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of China. It has the characteristics of
miscellaneous food, fast reproduction, strong adaptability and wide
distribution, and it is the main harmful rat to the agriculture, forestry, fruit and
animal husbandry. In agricultural areas, because Myospalax fontanieri bites
off the roots of crops, causing plants to die, or drag the whole plant out of the
ground, resulting in large crops lack of seedlings and ridges, seriously
affecting crop yields. In pastoral areas, Myospalax fontanieri eats fine forage
grass and piles up a lot of mounds, which is very destructive to the grassland.
Due to the perennial underground activities, the tunnels crisscross each other,
resulting in the loss of topsoil and serious degradation of grassland.
At present, the control methods of Myospalax fontanieri include poisoning,
electronic mousetraps, rattraps, biological deratization, artificial killing,
ecological control, etc. The application of these control methods has achieved
practical effect in a certain range and period, but the practical effect is not
satisfactory. For example, the electronic mousetrap and rattrap have some
problems such as low hit rate, inconvenient carrying, high labor intensity and
low efficiency. Poisoning methods (such as warfarin, chlorophacinone and bromadiolone) have problems of high cost and environmental pollution.
Biological control methods (such as the use of owls, foxes, snakes and other
natural enemies) are difficult to control the effectiveness of artificial control
and other problems. Ecological control has slow effect.

Because the Myospalax fontanieri lives underground all the year round, it
likes to dig long and complex tunnels underground, where it lives and feeds,
and rarely comes to the surface. It is quick at burrowing and good at using
their powerful front feet to dig the soil and using their broad flat head to press
the soil down or push the soil out of the cave to form small mounds with a
diameter of 30cm and a height of about 15-16cm on the ground, which is a
residence sign of the Myospalax fontanieri. The location of the Myospalax
