Abstract

Abstract An adjustable standoff for hanging plate-like objects is characterised by comprising a threaded cover for tightening, wherein an internal threaded hole is formed in the bottom center of the threaded cover, an adjustment block is arranged below the threaded cover and has a top fixedly connected upper fastening threaded rod, a first external thread is uniformly arranged on the outer wall of the upper fastening threaded rod, the upper fastening threaded rod is connected with the threaded cover in a threaded manner through the first external thread and the top end of upper fastening threaded rod is located in an inner cavity of the threaded cover, the bottom end of the adjustment block is fixedly connected with a lower fastening threaded rod, and a second external thread is uniformly arranged on the outer wall of the lower fastening threaded rod. The user can adjust the position of a plate-like object (such as a glass panel) fastened by the standoff through external adjustment with an Allen Key; when the adjustment component is fastened to the cylindrical installation block, the standoff can be used as a non-adjustable standoff; and because the adjustment component is hidden in the cylindrical installation block after installation, the standoff appears more visually pleasing.

Description

ADJUSTABLE STANDOFF FOR HANGING PLATE-LIKE OBJECTS Technical Field
The inventioninvention relates to the field of fastener for flat-plates, in particular to an adjustable standoff for hanging plate-like objects.
Description of Related Art
Standoffs are pins used for fastening advertising signs, sign boards, glass balustrades or various plate-like materials, typically consist of a round screw and a nut, are generally made from iron, aluminum alloy, copper, stainless steel, or the like, and generally have a diameter of 10-80MM according to the size of the sign boards, wherein the length of the nut ranges from 10MM to 100MM.
However, existing standoffs have the following technical problems:
1. The flatness of plate-like objects fastened by existing standoffs cannot be adjusted while the standoffs are being installed, mounted or used.
2. Existing models of adjustable standoff require the flat-plates to be disassembled and removed for adjustment, thus the installation is extremely complex and difficult; the adjustment block on existing model of adjustable standoff leaves an obvious seam, which affects its visual appearance.
Given this, the inventioninvention designs an adjustable standoff for hanging plate-like objects to solve the above-mentioned problems.

An adjustable standoff for hanging plate-like objects is characterized by comprising a threaded cover for tightening, wherein an internal threaded hole is formed in the bottom center of the threaded cover, an adjustment block is arranged below the threaded cover, the top of the adjustment block is fixedly connected with an upper fastening threaded rod, a first external thread is uniformly arranged on the outer wall of the upper fastening threaded rod, the upper fastening threaded rod is connected with the threaded cover in a threaded manner through the first external thread, the top end of the upper fastening threaded rod is located in an inner cavity of the threaded cover, the bottom end of the adjustment block is fixedly connected with a lower fastening threaded rod, a second external thread is uniformly arranged on the outer wall of the lower fastening threaded rod, a cylindrical installation block is arranged below the lower fastening threaded rod, an internal threaded hole is formed in the center of an inner cavity of the cylindrical installation block, and the lower fastening threaded rod is connected with the internal threaded hole in a threaded manner through the second external thread and is located in the inner cavity of the cylindrical installation block.
Furthermore, an internal hexagonal adjustment socket is formed in the top center of the upper fastening threaded rod.
Furthermore, a cylindrical sliding groove is formed in the top of the cylindrical installation block, and the lower end of the adjustment block is inserted in an inner cavity of the cylindrical sliding groove.

The inventioninvention has the following beneficial effects: when the standoff is installed or used, the user can adjust the position of a glass plate or an advertising board fastened by the standoff by means of external operation through an Allen Key to adjust the levelness of the glass plate or the advertising board, so that the adaptability and adjustment capacity of the standoff are improved, and the standoff is more practical for normal installation; compared to existing models of adjustable standoff, the adjustable standoff has better adjustability; compared with existing models of adjustable standoff, the adjustable standoff can be directly adjusted from the outside of a plate-like object without dissembling and removing the plate-like object; when the adjustment function is not required, the adjustment components can be tightened to the cylindrical installation block and the standoff can be used as a non-adjustable standoff; and because the adjustment component is arranged inside the cylindrical installation block, the standoff appears more visually attractive.

As shown in FIG. 1-FIG. 5, a standoff for hanging plate-like objects comprises a threaded cover 1, wherein an internal threaded hole is formed in the bottom center of the threaded cover 1, an adjustment block 2 is arranged below the threaded cover 1, the top of the adjustment block 2 is fixedly connected with an upper fastening threaded rod 3, a first external thread 4 is uniformly arranged on the outer wall of the upper fastening threaded rod 3, the upper fastening threaded rod 3 is connected with the threaded cover 1 in a threaded manner through the first external thread 4, the top end of the upper fastening threaded rod 3 is located in an inner cavity of the threaded cover 1, the bottom end of the adjustment block 2 is connected with a lower fastening threaded rod 6, a second external thread 7 is uniformly arranged on the outer wall of the lower fastening threaded rod 6, a cylindrical installation block 8 is arranged below the lower fastening threaded rod 6, an internal threaded hole 9 is formed in the center of an inner cavity of the cylindrical installation block 8, and the lower fastening threaded rod 6 is connected with the internal threaded hole 9 in a threaded manner through the second external thread 7 and is located in the inner cavity of the cylindrical installation block 8.
In this embodiment, an internal hexagonal adjustment socket 30 is formed in the top center of the upper fastening threaded rod 3, so that a user can easily access and adjust the adjustment block by means of an external Allen Key and a cylindrical sliding groove 80 is formed in the top of the cylindrical installation block 8, and the lower end of the adjustment block 2 is inserted in an inner cavity of the cylindrical sliding groove 80.
