Field of the Invention.
[0004] The present disclosure relates generally to a multi-purpose makeup tool. More so, the present invention relates to a multi-purpose makeup tool that doesn't sacrifice any of the functionality of each tool that the multi purpose tool is replacing.
Description of the related art.
[0005] There are numerous cosmetic products in the market that are designed to enhance, improve and change the appearance of features of a person. Mascara, for example, is used to darken and define eyelashes to accent the eyes. Typically, mascara is applied to the eyelashes after eyeshadow and eyeliner have been applied. Mascara is available in liquid form or in a light fluid paste preparation and is applied by a small brush that is attached to the end of a wand. The mascara is supplied in a tube-like dispenser container in which the wand and brush are inserted. After mascara is loaded on the brush, a thin layer of mascara is applied to the upper eyelashes by moving the brush from the base to the tip of the eyelashes. The brush is then re-inserted into the dispenser until a desired amount of mascara has adhered to the brush. Additional coats of mascara can be applied to the upper eyelashes, if desired. The brush is then reloaded and mascara is applied to the lower lashes in the same manner. The brush is also used to separate the eyelashes and remove clumps. Cotton swab, in another example, has cotton wool at both end and is used for the daily beauty care including the eye cosmetics. While the cotton body usually made of natural fibers such as cotton, is the handle body is often made of a non-biodegradable plastic such as polypropylene. A person may have numerous such tools and applicators in their homes.
[0006] U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,446,880 and 4,545,393 to Gueret and U.S. Pat. No. 7,467,905 to Habatjou disclose make-up brushes/applicators that are variable in diameter by varying the length in response to manipulation of actuation means or an adjuster element. In order to achieve an expanded configuration, the actuation means/adjuster element must be manipulated-and inconvenience for the user. Furthermore, there is no indication that the brush or applicator in an expanded configuration is capable of being drawn through a relatively smaller wiper opening. The '880 and '393 disclosures clearly indicate that the bellows embodiment has sufficient elasticity to cause it to resume the elongated reduced diameter portion, i.e., the brush is biased to the smaller configuration rather than the expanded configuration of the present invention. The
'905 disclosure appears to be similar. The disclosed brushes are also relatively complex in both construction (numerous parts to be assembled) and use (manipulation of the actuation means or adjuster element to achieve an expanded configuration).
[0007] The DE-U-297 16 819 discloses a compostable cotton swab, which is produced from cardboard or paper. The handle body made of cardboard by being cut out from a sheet punched, or produced by using a cellulose pulp is filled into corresponding molds and pressed is produced. The handle paper body is manufactured as a wound body, which are in with a corresponding winding technique strip of paper wound into a rod-shaped body. The Gnfik6rper described above have either the disadvantage that they are not environmentally friendly or that their manufacture is complex and correspondingly expensive.
[0008] In light of the above mentioned drawbacks, there exists a need of a multi-purpose makeup tool or applicator that is simple, lightweight, portable and fully functional, without sacrificing any of the functionality of each tool that the multi-purpose tool is replacing.
[0009] A primary object of the disclosure is to provide a multi-purpose makeup tool.
[0010] Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a multi purpose makeup tool that is lightweight, portable and simple to use.
[0011]Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a multi purpose makeup tool that doesn't sacrifice any of the functionality of each tool that the multi-purpose tool is replacing.
[0012] Having thus described the disclosure in general terms, reference will now be made to the accompanying figure, wherein:
[0013] FIG. 1 illustrates a multi-purpose makeup tool, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure; and
[0014] FIG. 2 illustrates a multi-purpose makeup tool, in accordance with another embodiment of the present disclosure.
It should be noted that the accompanying figure are intended to present illustrations of exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. This figure is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. It should also be noted that accompanying figure is not necessarily drawn to scale.
[0015] Reference will now be made in detail to selected embodiments of the present disclosure in conjunction with accompanying figures. The embodiments described herein are not intended to limit the scope of the disclosure, and the present disclosure should not be construed as limited to the embodiments described. This disclosure may be embodied in different forms without departing from the scope and spirit of the disclosure. It should be understood that the accompanying figure is intended and provided to illustrate embodiments of the disclosure described below and are not necessarily drawn to scale. In the drawing, like numbers refer to like elements throughout, and thicknesses and dimensions of some components may be exaggerated for providing better clarity and ease of understanding.
[0016] It should be noted that the terms "first", "second", and the like, herein do not denote any order, ranking, quantity, or importance, but rather are used to distinguish one element from another. Further, the terms "a" and "an" herein do not denote a limitation of quantity, but rather denote the presence of at least one of the referenced item.
[0017] FIG. 1 illustrates a multi-purpose makeup tool 100, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The multi-purpose makeup tool 100 includes an elongated shaft 105, a first applicator 110 and a second applicator 115. The first applicator 110 is shown to be a brush and the second applicator 115 is shown to be a swab. The first applicator 110, which is shown to be a brush, can be used to brush brows hairs and apply mascara. The second applicator 115, which is shown to be swab, can be used to clean lashes and/or apply brow tint, henna and lipstick. While the multi-purpose makeup tool 100 is shown to have eyeliner tool on one end and a mascara applying tool on the other end, it should be noted that functions of the brush and the swab are for illustrative purpose only and not to limit the scope of the disclosure. The brush and the swab can serve multiple purposes other than described in the disclosure, without impacting the scope of the disclosure. The brush can have brush of various shapes and sizes. The swab can have swab of various shapes and sizes.
[0018] FIG. 2 illustrates a multi-purpose makeup tool 200, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The multi-purpose makeup tool 200 has a first applicator 210 and a second applicator 215 that are detachable at one or more joints 220. For example, the first applicator 210 and the second applicator 215 be snap fitted on an elongated shaft 205. In another example, the first applicator 210 and the second applicator 215 can be interlocked to the elongated shaft 205. This allows the first applicator 110 and the second applicator 115 to be replaced by new applicators when required. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the first applicator 110 and the second applicator 115 can be replaced by a third applicator and the fourth applicator. For example, an eye liner can be replaced by a makeup removal tool.
[0019] A multi-purpose makeup tool is provided that that doesn't sacrifice any of the functionality of each tool that the multi-purpose tool is replacing and is simple in construction and usage.
[0020] While certain exemplary aspects have been described and shown in the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that such aspects are merely illustrative of and not restrictive on the broad disclosed approach, and that this disclosed approach is not to be limited to the specific constructions and arrangements shown and described, since various other modifications may occur to those ordinarily skilled in the art.
