Abstract

The innovation relates to the field of ironing clothes. The innovation encompasses a method of ironing shirt sleeves, blouse sleeves and trouser or pant legs for any type of clothing. The innovation results in crease free ironing of sleeves and trouser legs. Creasing is a very common problem encountered in domestic ironing situations. The innovation incorporates a high tensile and slimline rounded stainless-steel rod. The rod, when inserted into a sleeve or trouser leg stretches the sleeves or legs fabric to a tense and taut state. The sleeve or trouser leg remains tense and taut at all times whilst it is inserted. The fabric is now easily ironed making for better and quicker ironing results. Figure 1.

Description

IRONING ROD FOR CUTTING DOWN IRONING TIME
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION [001] the innovation relates to developing a method to ease the difficulty of ironing shirt and blouse sleeves as well as any form of trouser legs.
[002] the innovation is designed to make ironing sleeves and trouser legs quicker, easier and more precise.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION [003] A high tensile stainless-steel rod is rounded with an open end.
[004] The rod remains in a tense and taut state by the use of a sir-clip style attachment. When the sir-clip is removed the rod automatically springs outwards in an east west direction.
[005] When the rod is placed into any sleeve of a shirt, blouse or trouser leg without the sir-clip the rods tensile strength stretches the clothing's material to its limits.
[006] The stretched material remains taught and tight allowing for a floater more even ironing surface to be ironed.
2019100602 05 Jun 2019 [007] The person ironing can now focus on the aspect of ironing without any need or attention the person ironing to hold or stretch the shirt sleeve or trouser leg during the ironing process.
[008] This enables clothing to be ironed quicker as the rod acts as an ironing guide without guesswork.
