Abstract
Abstract A lightweight aluminium prop for keeping a post or stump in a level position while laying concrete, the prop comprising: an adjustable four legged tripod to support the prop; a bracket for receiving round or square posts or stumps and the bracket comprising post or stump adjustment members to adjust the position of the stump or post and; two levels on adjacent sides of the prop to keep the post or stump level while concrete is being laid. Description
As a carpenter fore many years, im always installing timber, concrete and steel posts, either they are for a house, deck, pergola, fence, privacy screen, ballast rate, extension. As anyone knows who has ever installed a post or stump it takes 2 or more people to install in line with a stringline and also level both ways
The easy post prop allows 1 person to install a post or stump without having to have help from another person or the need to brace the post in situ with timber props as is done now which saves time and money and the need for the 2nd or more person.
The easy post prop is a lightweight aluminium tripod style 4 legged prop with a opening bracket which you place around your post or stump and lock it in tight then move the tripod legs out in position, the easy prop once attached has 2 spirit level on 2 sides of the prop allowing you to adjust each leg until your post is level and in position to where you want it while you concrete or earth ram the dirt back in

- Claim - The easy post prop is to help hold a post or stump in situ while you concrete or earth ram your post or stump allowing 1 person to correctly install a post, the easy post prop will be made from lightweight aluminium/possibly plastic and some rubber with 2 good quality spirit levels, 4 adjustable legs that move up and down with ease, hard rubber pointed feet, adjustable bracket to suit the size of the post or stump, and also a diy range -commercial range.
