FIELD OF INVENTION
[0001] The invention “FORE!” WARNED being an electronic wireless device that has an electronic factory set recorded human voice that sounds off the word “FORE!” the decibel volume also standard factory set as to warn a person or persons with on a golf course and immediate area adjoining the golf course but subject to its decibel range that a wayward golf ball is in flight and heading their way, caused by a golfer who has miss hit the golf ball by slicing it or its intended target taken off its intended trajectory by strong cross winds or gusts, and heading for a person or persons in harm’s way, once hearing the word “FORE!” to duck and cover shield the head usually with ones hands as one would have only seconds to respond, at present golfers shout “FORE!” but an electronic back up is very much needed, the golfer who has initiated the said drama may be unable to shout “FORE!” because he or she may be suffering from a sore throat, a post op of the throat, tonsillitis, a heavy cold, dental or tongue issues, or cannot speak due to losing one’s voice or maybe just dumb and cannot speak anyway, if the golfer has a caddy he or she can shout “FORE!” on the golfers behalf but he or she can have health issues as well that may also restrict shouting “FORE!” it is not only wayward golf balls but flying golf clubs is another reason to shout “FORE!” where a golfer loses his or her grip of the club or just out of being bad tempered, it is well documented that thousands of people over the years with on or just off the golf course have been seriously injured and some killed due to usually being struck on the head by a wayward golf ball or injured in fewer cases by a wayward golf club, there are cases of the golfer being sued by victims not hearing of a poor shout of “FORE!” or not shouting “FORE!” in the first place.
[0002] The invention “FORE!” WARNED is an electronic wireless device that can be turned on via the on/off button (found on the front of the signal receiver unit) now by pressing the transmitter button and quick release sends a signal to the receiver unit (which houses a single word voice chip, speaker and circuitry) and in turn the speaker emits the human voice sound of “FORE!”, every time the transmitter button is pressed the word “FORE! Will sound off. The transmitter button and signal receiver unit may stay together as one unit being attached, or can be separated being unattached and independent from each other, if attached to each other the clips on the back of the signal receiver unit can be worn /clipped to ones trouser waist band or belt buckle but in handy reach as for the transmitter button to be pressed but not impede with one’s golf swing, alternatively the golfer can un-attach the button transmitter from the signal receiver unit and clip the signal receiver unit to their golf bag or golf cart/trolley and the transmitter button clipped to their waist band or belt buckle or if wearing to the peak of a golf type baseball cap. Self orally shouting “FORE!” is the best method but if you cannot then immediately release one’s grip from the swung club and immediately press the transmitter button so that the signal receiver unit can sound off the “FORE!”, the “FORE!’ may fall in the decibel range of say 88 to 95 +/- falling in the range of an average human loud shout, on purchase of this device the signal frequency level would be standard set, so it is advised to change the security code signal frequency level via numbered dip switches or jumpers found on the transmitter button and the signal receiver unit, but the changes must complement each other, by setting your own signal frequency code will decrease a similar signal from other “FORE!” units from activating your “FORE!” device. The range/distance between the transmitter button away from the signal receiver unit may be limited to say 100 metres, but normally the golfer rarely strays too far from their bag of golf clubs, cart/trolley.
[0003] It is also envisaged that the transmitter button, circuitry and battery could be incorporated into a golf glove, and it is also envisaged that the transmitter button, circuitry and battery in a cap shaped form as to screw or compression fit onto the grip end of a golf club. It is also envisaged that the transmitter, circuitry and battery be incorporate into the peak of a baseball cap as those worn in golf. It is also envisaged and possible that the signal receiver unit may have within a built in small Black Box as to record the time and date each time it is activated, in these times of sue me sue you mentality may be used as evidence if needed in a court case. It is also envisaged that the signal receiver unit may benefit from a volume control knob/dial about its front casing as to lower or increase decibel volume up to the factory set maximum output.
BACKGROUND
[0004] “FORE!” originally an Australian interjection, is used to warn anyone standing or moving in the flight of a golf ball, the mention of the term was in use back in 1861, also believed to come from the military “beware before”, warning infantrymen to duck for cover from fired shells by their fellow artillerymen, also believed originated from the word fore -caddy as for the caddy waiting down range from the golfer to find where the ball lands, these caddies were often warned about oncoming golf balls by a shout of the term “for caddy” which was eventually shortened to just “FORE!”, in Rules of golf: Shout “FORE!,” the rules of golf do not require a player to shout “FORE!” to warn other players but good etiquette certainly does. This is from the front of the rules book, Section 1, Etiquette, and Behaviour on the course.
[0005] It is also appreciated that various other changes, modifications and additions can be made but still keeping with in the spirit of the invention and envisaged versions.
