DESCRIPTION
TOOLING FOR TURNING A BOSS FOR A BOX WHICH ALLOWS FOR RELIABLE FIXATION OF WORKPIECES
Technical Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a tooling for turning a boss for a box which allows for reliable fixation of workpieces.
Background of the Invention
There is a need to process a square box. An annular boss is formed on an outer surface of the box; and an included angle is formed between the circumferential side of the box and the axis of the box, that is, the outline of the box has a slope. After the box is fixed, it is needed to process the axial end face of the annular boss of the box, the chamfered face of the annular boss, and the axial outer end face of the box. Since the outline of the box has a slope, it is difficult to fix the box. The processing of three sides of the box can be done by clamping the box even for many times. It is very troublesome.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to provide a tooling for turning a boss for a box which allows for reliable fixation of workpieces.
For this purpose, the present invention employs the following technical solution. A tooling for turning a boss for a box which allows for reliable fixation of workpieces is provided, including a fixed plate fixed at one end of a mandrel; at least two sliders are provided on one of left and right sides of the fixed plate; each of the sliders includes a slider fixing portion for fixing the slider and a slider positioning portion for positioning a box to be processed; a right-angled notch running through the opposite left and right sides of the slider positioning portion is formed in the slider positioning portion; the slider is fixed to the fixed 1 2017100787 17 Jun2017 plate by a positioning member which is fixed on an end face of the fixed plate; a receiving groove is formed in the positioning member, with the positioning member being of an U-shaped structure along the cross-section of a line parallel to an axis of the mandrel; and the slider fixing portion is located within the receiving groove of the positioning member, with the slider positioning portion extending out of the receiving groove; the fixed plate is fixed to the mandrel by a number of fourth fasteners; a number of fourth positioning holes are formed on both the mandrel and the fixed plate for fitting the fourth fasteners, and the fourth positioning holes are annually arranged at even intervals; and there are more than three fourth fasteners. This arrangement is convenient to position and fix the mandrel and the fixed plate, and makes the fixation of the fixed plate more stable.
The present invention has the advantage of positioning and fixing a box having a slope in its outline, so as to bring convenience to the processing of sides of the box.

Detailed Description of the Invention
The present invention will be further described below with reference to the accompanying and by specific embodiments.
As shown in Fig. 1, a tooling for turning a boss for a box as provided in the present invention is used for positioning and fixing a box 4 to be processed. The circumferential side of the box 4 to be processed is arranged, from left to right, in such a manner that it is inclined while extending from outside to inside.
As shown in Figs. 1,2, 3, 6 and 7, the tooling includes a fixed plate 2 fixed at one end of a mandrel 1; two sliders 3 are provided on the right side of the fixed plate 2; each of the sliders 3 includes a slider fixing portion 31 for fixing the slider and a slider positioning portion 32 for positioning a box 4 to be processed; a right-angled notch 321 running through the opposite left and right sides of the slider 3 is formed in the slider positioning portion 32; the slider 3 is fixed to the fixed plate 2 by a positioning member 5 which is fixed on an end face of the fixed plate 2; a receiving groove 51 is formed in the positioning member 5, with the positioning member 5 being of an U-shaped structure along the cross-section of a line parallel to an axis of the mandrel 1; and the slider fixing portion 31 is located within the receiving groove 51 of the positioning member 5, with the slider positioning portion 32 extending out of the receiving groove 51.Wherein, the two sliders 3 are arranged in opposite to each other. A fitting groove 33 running through the slider 3 in the left-right direction is formed in the slider 3, the fitting groove 33 being communicated with the right-angled notch 321 and being located at the right angle portion of the right-angled notch 321.
As shown in Figs. 1, 2, 3 and 5, a first pressing plate 6, which is fixed to the positioning member 5 by two first fasteners and located in the radial direction of the mandrel 1, is fixed on the circumferential side of the positioning member 5; a fixed groove 311 is formed in the slider fixing portion 31 of the slider 3, the fixed groove 311 is arranged in a T-shape along the radial 3 2017100787 17 Jun2017 cross-section of the mandrel 1 and the fixed groove 311 runs through the opposite left and right sides of the slider 3, and a nut is fitted within the fixed groove 311; and, a second fitting hole 61, in which a second bolt 9 is provided, is formed in the first pressing plate 6, and an end of the second bolt 9 having external threads passes through the second fitting hole 61 to extend into the fixed groove 311 and to be fixed to the nut by threads.Wherein, the nut is one having planar circumferential faces, for example, an externally hexagonal nut.
As shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 4, a second pressing plate 7, which is fixed to the positioning member 5 by four third fasteners to clamp the slider 3 between the positioning member 5 and the second pressing plate 7, is fixed on the right side of the positioning member 5, the second pressing plate 7 being located in the axial direction of the mandrel 1.
As shown in Figs. 4, 5, 6 and 7, a first positioning hole 52 is formed in each of the positioning member 5 and the first pressing plate for fitting the first fasteners, a third fitting hole 53 is formed in each of the positioning member 5 and the second pressing plate for fitting the third fasteners, and an axis of the first positioning hole 52 and an axis of the third fitting hole 53 are vertically arranged.
As shown in Fig. 1, a positioning shaft 8 is provided at one end of the mandrel 1, the positioning shaft 8 running through the fixed plate 2 and extending to a side of the fixed plate 2 on which a positioning member 5 is provided; and a through hole allowing the positioning shaft 8 to pass therethrough is formed on the fixed plate 2.An annular bulge and an annular groove, which are fitted with each other, are formed on axial end faces of the fixed plate 2 and of the mandrel I.The positioning shaft 8 includes a first positioning shaft segment 81 located within the through hole and a second positioning shaft segment 82 located on a side of the fixed plate 2, the first positioning shaft segment 81 having an outer diameter greater than that of the second positioning shaft segment 82; and the first positioning shaft segment 81 is closely fitted within the through hole. The fixed plate 2 is fixed to the 4 2017100787 17 Jun2017 mandrel 1 by three fourth fasteners; fourth positioning holes are formed on both the mandrel 1 and the fixed plate 2 for fitting the fourth fasteners, and three fourth positioning holes are annually arranged at even intervals.
When a box to be processed is positioned and fixed, the positioning shaft is located within the hole in the box; and the position and angle of the two sliders are adjusted, so that the right-angled notch of the slider corresponds to the right angle portion of the box and that the notched end face of the siider can be fitted and contacted with the circumferential end face of the box. Since the circumferential side of the box has a slope, the sliders in this case are inclined with respect to the positioning member. Then, the first pressing plate is fixed to the positioning member by the first fasteners, and the sliders are fixed to the first pressing plate by the second bolt and the nut. It is to be noted that the second bolt should not be tightened. Then, the positioning member is fixed to the second pressing plate by the third fasteners in order to clamp the sliders between the positioning member and the second pressing plate. Then, the sides of the box can be processed. The present invention has the advantage of positioning and fixing a box having a slope in its outline, so as to bring convenience to the processing of sides of the box. 5
