In the 2nd embodiment of the invention, the wet separator apparatus, has a coiled, perforated 50-60mm plastic hose attached internally attached to the lower port contained in the dry separator cyclonic chamber, when partially fdled with water converts the dry separator unit into a wet separator for the 10 purpose of treating the 15% of very fine dust that bypassed the dry separation unit and treatment stage, the wet separator apparatus uses the motor suction power of the vacuum cleaner to operate, and pull droplets of water through the immersed coiled perforated hose, that is partially immersed in the body of water, whereby in combination with air creates a water spray, that spouts with 15 motor suction driven force through the top of the hose opening located above the water level at the top of the container, that forms a wet vortex cyclonic water misting action in the air space remaining, whereby this fine dust quickly is converted into a mud like substance, thereby eliminating the vast majority of the dry fine dust, from ever reaching the vacuum cleaner filters and motors, the 20 hose and internal cavity lid with lower or upper containment vessel are designed to be quickly and easily removed, and cleaned and flushed out with water by a garden hose, to remove “the mud build up inside the hose and container”, both the wet and dry pre separator apparatus, share identical design features found on most common vacuum cleaner designs, whereby they all 25 largely consists of 2 chambers, held together by toggle latches, of ergonomic, attractive, portable design, uses a system of wheels and handles, and is an apparatus suitably thick and solid in structure to withstand high vacuum pressure generated by a typical side channel type blower motor or vacuum cleaner motor as used by small, medium and large commercial size vacuum 30 cleaners, the lower or upper separation chambers of this new invention may also be different and contain a possible moulded seating recess, and lock down knob hand attachment feature, for placement and seating of a separation lid, for air tight seal, the lid also contains cavity shapes such as a cone or pipe or series 4 2017100402 09 Apr 2017 10 of cones or pipes, located in the centre of the lid, to create the cyclonic air rotation action, in a 3Kl embodiment of the invention many of these useful design embodiments of this invention could be can be incorporated and integrated into a new wet vacuum cleaner design and invention 15
Background Art 20 Flooring trades, cleaners, builders, factories, asbestos removal contractors, wood working shops and persons in general who undertake heavy dust extraction tasks with a vacuum cleaner system, commonly preform work tasks that involve the cleaning, grinding, sanding and removal of large volumes of highly dangerous or corrosive dusts from wall and floor surfaces. Due to the 25 large volumes of dust being drawn into the vacuum cleaner performing these tasks, dust quickly cakes the vacuum filters and causes regular blockages, this quickly results in greatly reduced vacuum suction, air quality of the work environment and regular vacuum breakdowns. Heavier duty vacuums have been designed to undertake some of these heavy dust extraction roles, and 30 employ, numerous filters, hand operated shakers, automatic vibrating filters and air pulse jet systems to remove the cake up of the vacuum filters, but in most cases are very expensive, only operate with a limited degree of success, as the dust accumulated on the filters is only partially dislodged and merely settles and recirculates within the confines of the vacuum chamber, This invention is 5 therefore is intended to provide a new and useful solution to this problem of vacuum filter blockage, that uses a dual dry and wet cyclonic filter system stage to eliminate 99% of all dust from ever reaching the fine filters of a vacuum cleaner, that enables a relatively simple low cost vacuum cleaner to perform even the very heaviest dust extraction roles, this new and useful 10 invention also relates to a new wet separator invention, that can be additionally connected behind the dry separator stage to capture the 15% very fine dust that bypasses the dry dust separator stage, that although almost identical in design 5 2017100402 09 Apr 2017 to the dry separator, is different in that it uses a perforated coiled, perforated 50-60mm plastic hose attached internally attached to the lower port contained 15 in the dry separator cyclonic chamber, and uses the suction power of the vacuum cleaner motor to and pull droplets of water through the immersed coiled perforated hose, that is partially immersed in the body of water, whereby in combination air creates a water spray, that spouts with motor suction driven force through the top of the hose opening located above the water level at the 20 top of the container, that forms a wet vortex cyclonic water misting action in the air space remaining, the interconnection of the dry and wet separator stages is therefore used for the purpose of creating an elaborate obstacle course for dust, that must negotiate a labyrinth vacuum intestine of winding dry and wet spiral pathways, that trap and remove the dust, before the dust can reach the 25 vacuum fdters and motors, whereby this fine dust quickly is converted into a mud like substance, thereby eliminating the vast majority of the dry fine dust, from ever reaching the vacuum cleaner filters and motors, this invention also relates to an integrated design of these two dry and wet dust separator inventions into a wet and dry vacuum cleaner design with attached motors 30
