Abstract
This invention relates to adjustable glass spigot. The components of
adjustable glass spigots includes: wall mounting plate, back glass clamp
5 plate, front glass clamp plate, socket cap screws and set screw. There
is a semicircular pivot between wall mounting plate and back glass clamp
plate. The socket cap screws go through each of back glass clamp plate
and front glass clamp plate then connect to wall mounting plate. The set
screw go through each of back glass clamp plate and front glass clamp
10 plate, pressing against wall mounting plate.
Description
Specification Summary The new utility model relates to adjustable glass spigot, its
components including a wall mounting plate, back and front glass clamp,
countersunk flat screws, socket cap screws and a set screw. Flat screws
are used to connect the back plate of clamp to the wall mounting plate.
There is a semicircular pivot between wall mounting plate and back glass
clamp plate which act as a pivot point used to adjust the angle between
the glass and the wall. A set screw goes through the back plate will press
against the wall mounting plate to achieve the desired angle. Socket cap
screws are used to connect the back and front plate of the clamp with
the wall mounting plate. An addition hole is drilled on the front plate
of the clamp for the set screw in order to adjust the angle once all
components are installed.
The new utility model of adjustable glass spigots belongs to
construction engineering field.
Glass spigots, is a kind of hardware fitting for frameless glass
fencing. Based on current technology, installing standard spigots
requires glass to be drilled with holes so that it can be installed via
pins. The disadvantage of this is all glass needs to be drilled with holes.
This not only lowers the strength of the glass but also increases the
difficulty in the production of the glass. Moreover, the surface of the
wall spigots attached to is not perfectly vertical, which leads to the
need for inserting extra pads for adjustments. This method compromises the strength while wasting a considerable amount of time and it is especially difficult to adjust the glass into desired angles by inserting extra pads.
In order to overcome technical difficulties discussed above, this
utility model provides an adjustable spigot which allows the glass to
be adjusted to a vertical angle. Also, the glass fastened by this spigot
requires no drilled holes which improve the practicality of the product
effectively.
An adjustable glass spigot, including wall mounting plate, back and
front glass clamp plates, socket cap screws, flat screws and a set screw.
There are semicircular pivot between wall mounting plate and back plate
of the glass clamp. The socket cap screw goes through both of back and
front plates of glass clamp then connect both to the wall mounting plate.
The set screw goes through both of back and front plates of glass clamp
as well and pressed against the wall mounting plate for the purpose of
adjusting the angle of the glass in conjunction with the semicircular
pivot.
The operational principle of this utility model is the use of the
semicircular pivot as a pivot point to allow free movement of the glass
clamp with respect to the wall, by adjusting socket cap screws and
setscrew the user is able to change the angle of wall mounting plate and the glass clamp.
The advantages of this utility model including: no holes required
to be drilled on glass, higher safety level, structurally strong and
reliable, convenience, more choices for installation, easy to adjust
vertical angles of the glass and more flexible.
Description of drawings
Picture 1 is the structural drawing with dimensions of this utility model
as adjustable glass spigot.
Picture instruction as

Specification
By attached drawings and specify example to instruct this utility
model as follow,
As drawing 1 shows, an adjustable spigot includes 1.wall mounting
plate, 2.Back plate of glass clamp, 3. Front plate of glass clamp, 4.socket
cap screws and 5.set screw, There is a semicircular pivot between wall
mounting plate 1 and back plate of glass clamp 2. The socket cap screws
4 connecting front plate of glass clamp 3 to the back plate and wall mounting plate 1. The set screw 5 goes through front plate 3 and back plate 2 which then press against wall mounting plate 1.
Above is just an example of this utility model but not restrict to
the patent range. Whatever structure and process that derived from this
utility model as this specification instruction or drawings, directly
or indirectly utilized to relevant technical field are also protected
within the patent range.
