Abstract

A water resistant and water repellant undergarment and swimwear garment comprising a synthetic textile fabric, a nanotechnology known commercially as Nanosphere applied to synthetic textile fabric, a corrugated synthetic textile fabric also applied with Nanosphere, a combination of synthetic textiles and garment construction. The water resistant and water repellant undergarment and swimwear garment also comprises a top garment piece and corrugated lining, and a bottom garment piece, the bottom garment piece having a corrugated lining, both pieces are comprised of material containing nanosphere coating. The swimsuit does not become transparent or see through when exposed to water or moisture.

Description

The present invention is directed at swimwear that is water resistant providing the wearer with always dry swimwear that combines the advantages of swimwear with that of underwear. The invention includes nanotechnology applied to fabric and sewn in with corrugated fabric to direct water away from underneath the garment. The invention covers men's, woman and children swimwear and active wear. 2016101348 15 Aug 2016 0001 The present invention relates generally to an article of clothing and more particularly, swimwear garment wherein the garment is water resistant and always dry to the person wearing the garment 0002 A swimsuit, bathing suit or swimming costume is an item of clothing designed to be worn for swimming or sunbathing. Swimsuits can be skin-tight or loosely fitting and range from garments designed to preserve as much modesty as possible to garments designed to reveal as much of the body as possible without actual nudity. They are often lined with a fabric that prevents them from becoming transparent when wet. Female swimwear is well known and commonly comprises a one-piece bathing suit, bikini top and bottom, thong bikini bottoms, bodysuits, and/or a variety of other styles ranging in aesthetic appeal and functional characteristics. Swimwear Is an important item of clothing that can serve a variety of functions such as protecting the skin from epidermis damaging ultra-violet radiation from the sun, added buoyancy in water, and warmth to name a few. Additionally, swimwear has aesthetic appeal as well as function as swimwear that is form-fitting, slenderizing female swimwear, or padding for accentuating a particular area of the body. 0003 Despite all the current swimwear that exists, there is absent in the marketplace swimwear for women, men and children which stays completely dry after being submerged in water or other fluids and quickly removes excess water from beneath it. it Is desirable to provide swimwear that is readily available to be worn as both swimwear and undergarments to allow for a variety of swim/bathing/daytime wear options from the same clothing of article. 0004 Accordingly, there exists a substantial need to provide a swimsuit that remains dry', capable of being adapted into everyday wear and further capable of accommodating other activities while avoiding skin irritation due to wet garments. 0005 The present invention specifically addresses and alleviates the above-identified deficiencies, providing an always dry swimsuit, the garment functions as both swimwear and provides the additional support for everyday needs of underwear, combining the traditional swimsuit with the support of underwear. 0006 in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the swimwear garment includes a variety of clothing styles a woman's swimsuit In single piece and two pieces, man's shorts, a child's full body suit and active wear such as leggings. An example of a few attachment means contemplated by the invention Include but are not limited to zippers, a plurality of loops, a plurality of fasteners, underwire and VELCRO® 0007 In order to ensure the fiber materials remain water resistant and repellent a coating commercially known as Nanosphere is applied by way of "padding" (FIG4) to the material. "Padding" is a common process of applying a coating to material after dying (FIG4). The classic textile reaction to water, dirt and oil is to adhere to the textile because of the larger contact surface with the textile. With the Nanosphere coating water, dirt and oil only remain on the peaks of the fibers and have a diminished contact area, water, dirt and oil adhesion is significantly reduced and the drops simply roll off the fibers of the fabric. The coating does not effect the breathability, feel or resistance against abrasion or friction, in fact it improves the performance of the material against abrasion and friction. 0008 Due to the garments water repellent nature the garment never becomes transparent, ensuring the user

DETAILED DESCRiPTiON of DRAWINGS
The detailed description set forth below is intended as a description of the presently preferred embodiment of the invention, and is not intended to represent the only form In which the present Invention may be constructed or utilized. The description sets forth the functions and sequences of steps for constructing and operating the invention. It is to be understood, however, that the same or equivalent functions and sequences may be accomplished by different embodiments and that they are also intended to be encompassed within the scope of the invention. FIG 1 - A triangle swimsuit is designed with small button holes sewn along the crutch linings ¢2} an inner corrugated lining is sewn into the inside of the front of the swimsuit (1), the edges are sewn with small channels (3) to help water run away from the bikini. Moisture and water runs away from the material in a matter of seconds due to this process and channeling FIG 1.1 - Is the back for FIG 1, small button holes are sewn into the lining outer edges of the swimsuit, in addition the inside is lined with corrugated Lycra with Nanosphere (FIG 4) applied to quickly move the water and keep the bikini dry, FIG 2 - Demonstrates a woman's swimwear with additional support to act as underwear which contains rubber lining the cup area (5) and an elastic running under the cup area (6) along with corrugated material and lining with Nanosphere (FIG 4) and drainage button holes along the bottom (4). FIG 3 - Demonstrates another woman's top catering for a larger cup range with additional corrugated (FIG 5) and Nanosphere materia! (FIG4) applied along the base of the swimsuit (7) additionally button holes are located underneath the cup (6), due to the cup size additional hemmed cuts are applied to the materia! (8). FIG 4- Demonstrates how Nanosphere is applied to select Lycra material and the process of applying and drying the materia! with the commercially known Nanosphere water resistant solution.
