Field of the Invention 0 The present invention relates to a drawer and to a framework adapted to contain different accessories, including waste bins for separate waste collection.

Background of the Invention 5 Normally, a drawer for separate waste collection consists of a bracket installed inside the compartment of the piece of furniture in which the drawer operates, a framework sliding along the bracket and adapted to support one or more waste bins, a front panel fastened to the framework and a back panel 0 fastened to the framework. Currently the piece of furniture, the bracket, the front panel and the back panel are manufactured by the furniture maker while the aforesaid framework and the bins are manufactured by a supplier of the furniture maker. 25

The main problems currently existing consist in the fact that, for compartments of the same width in which the drawer must operate, each furniture maker installs their own bracket, of a different make and of different dimensions to the guides 30 installed by other furniture makers. Consequently, the companies that manufacture the framework must produce a series of models of guides, each suitable for the type of bracket used by the furniture maker. Moreover, the bracket with the current frameworks available on the market remains in view 35 and, therefore, is not only unsightly but also gathers dust and even bits of waste (bearing in mind the use of the 2 2016100525 04 Μ 2017 drawer). In addition to this, the guides currently available on the market can be mounted so as to project horizontally inside the compartment; these guides are unsightly and substantially prevent the application of frameworks of known 5 type and the usual installation of waste bins. Finally, in current frameworks it is difficult to adjust the width thereof so as to produce a precise and effective support for the waste bins . 0 It would be advantageous is to produce a drawer for separate waste collection that does not have the problems mentioned above .

Any reference herein to matter which is given as prior art is 5 not to be taken as an admission that the matter was known or that the information it contains was part of the common general knowledge as at the priority date of any of the claims . 0 Summary of the Invention

According to one aspect, the invention provides a drawer installed inside a compartment produced in a piece of furniture and delimited by two lateral walls, each of which 25 supports a side member that extends inside said compartment transverse to the lateral wall; the drawer; comprising a base; for overlaying each side member; wherein each base is a strip extending transversely towards the lateral wall along which the respective side members extends, to cover the respective 30 side member in flat contacting engagement; wherein, each lateral wall supports a guide; wherein the drawer has a carriage movably mounted on said guide; said side member being a component of the carriage and being movable with respect to said guide; and 35 wherein the bases together delimit a space inside the drawer; 2a 2016100525 04 Μ 2017 wherein the drawer further comprises a framework, which in turn comprises a frame installed on said bases so as to divide the space inside said drawer; wherein the frame is mounted for sliding together 5 with the bases during the opening and closing movements of the drawer; wherein the frame has a rectangular perimeter and comprises two elongated lateral bodies parallel to each other and two bars parallel to each other that connect 0 the longitudinal ends of the bodies to each other; wherein the dimensions of the bodies and of the bars are a function of the dimensions of the space inside the drawer; wherein each base comprises a vertical side member 5 that in use is substantially parallel to the respective lateral wall; wherein the frame comprises two bars parallel to each other that connect the longitudinal ends of the vertical side members to each other; wherein the dimensions of the bars are a function of the dimensions 0 of the space inside the drawer: wherein the frame comprises one or more dividers which are connected to the bodies or to the bars so as to divide the space inside the drawer according to requirements, for example to the dimensions of the waste 25 bins to be hung; and wherein the bodies and the bars have grooves and the ends of each divider are mounted in a known way inside said grooves so that, in use, the position of each divider can be varied by the user according to 30 requirements by sliding the divider along the grooves.

According to another aspect, the invention provides a framework for a drawer installed inside a compartment produced in a piece of furniture and delimited by two lateral walls, 35 each of which supports a side member that extends inside said compartment transverse to the lateral wall wherein the 2016100525 04 Jul2017 2b framework comprises a base formed as a strip extending transversely towards the lateral wall along which the respective side extends to cover the respective side member in flat contacting engagement therewith; 5 wherein the bases together delimit a space inside the drawer; and further comprising a frame installed on said bases so as to divide the space inside said drawer and to support, a plurality of bins; and wherein the frame is mounted for sliding together 0 with the bases during the opening and closing movements of the drawer.

Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments

With reference to Fig 1, the numeral 1 indicates in its entirety a drawer, in particular for separate waste 5 collection, installed inside a compartment 2 produced in a piece of furniture 3. In particular, the piece of furniture 3 comprises two lateral walls 4 that delimit the compartment 2 and each of which supports a guide 6 (Fig. 2) . The drawer 1 also comprises a carriage 7, which is mounted sliding along 0 said guide 6 and has a lateral side member 8 substantially parallel to the respective lateral wall 4 and a horizontal side member 9 which projects inside the compartment 2 3 2016100525 22 Apr 2016 transverse to the same lateral wall 4.

The drawer 1 also comprises a framework 5, which in turn comprises a base 10 for each horizontal side member 9. Each 5 base 10 is fixed over a respective horizontal side member 9 so as to cover it and conceal it from the user when the drawer 1 is opened. The base 10 is movable integral with the respective horizontal side member 9. Each base 10 is substantially in the shape of a strip and is made, for example, of wood or plastic. 0 For example, each base 10 is fixed to the respective horizontal side member 9 by means of one or more screws, which are screwed from below the horizontal side member 9 so that when the drawer 1 is open the screws are concealed from the user . 5

The bases 10 cover the horizontal side members 9 so as to delimit the space inside the drawer 1 and make the inside of the same drawer 1 visibly more attractive and tidy, concealing the mechanical part of the carriage 7, in particular the 0 horizontal side members 9.

The drawer 1 also comprises a frame 11 that is adapted to divide the space inside the drawer 1 and to support accessories of various types including, for example, a 25 plurality of waste bins 12.

The frame 11 is mounted sliding integral with the bases 10 during the opening and closing movements of the drawer 1. 30 The frame 11 has a rectangular perimeter and comprises two elongated lateral bodies 13 parallel to each other and two bars 14 parallel to each other that connect the longitudinal ends of the bodies 13 to each other. The dimensions of the bodies 13 and of the bars 14 are a function of the dimensions 35 of the space S to be delimited inside the drawer 1. The dimensions of each base 10 are variable and determined as a 4 2016100525 22 Apr 2016 function of the space S and/or of the frame 11.

Preferably, the frame 11 comprises one or more dividers 15, which are connected to the bodies 13 or to the bars 14 so as 5 to divide the space S inside the drawer 1 according to requirements. As illustrated in the figures, the frame 11 comprises a divider 15. Preferably, the bodies 13 and the bars 14 have grooves 16 and the ends of each divider 15 are mounted in a known way inside said grooves 16 so that the position of 0 each divider 15 can be varied by the user according to requirements by sliding the divider 15 along the grooves 16 with the possibility of fixing it or making it slidable.

In Fig. 6 the numeral 101 illustrates a variant of the drawer 5 1; it can be seen that in Fig. 6 the components in common with

Fig. 1 maintain the same numerals. In Fig. 6 the drawer 101 has a framework 105, which in turn comprises a base 110 for each horizontal side member. Each base 110 comprises a surface 116 and a vertical side member 117, wherein in use the surface 0 116 is adapted to be positioned over a respective horizontal side member 9, while the vertical side member 117 of the base 110 in use is substantially parallel to a respective lateral wall 4 and delimits the space S inside the drawer 101.

According to the illustration in Fig. 6, the frame 111 is 25 substantially H-shaped; i.e. the frame 111 does not comprise the bodies 13 which are replaced by the vertical side members 116 of the bases 110. In other words, the frame 111 comprises, as illustrated in Fig. 6, parallel bars 114 that connect respective ends of the vertical side members 117 and the 30 divider 115 to each other. Optionally, the bars 114 have grooves (of known type and not illustrated) inside which the ends of the divider 115 are mounted, so that the same divider 115 is movable and positionable along the bars 114. 35 The framework 5, 105, and consequently the bases 10, 110 and the frame 11, 111 are generally produced and supplied to a 2016100525 22 Apr 2016 5 furniture maker by external suppliers.

In use, the bases 10, 110 are placed over the respective horizontal side members 9 and are fixed thereto by means of 5 screws, preferably from below. Therefore, the frame 11, 111 is positioned on the bases 10, 110 and each divider 15, 115 is fixed or positioned along the respective grooves 16 in the desired position. The frame 11 is easily removable to facilitate cleaning of the compartment 2. In the case of the 0 variant illustrated in Fig. 6, it is possible to remove only the frame 111, which is substantially H-shaped, reducing the number of components to be assembled/disassembled and, therefore, facilitating cleaning operations of the drawer 1. 5 The bases 10, 110 and the frame 11, 111 can be used simply to divide the space S inside the drawer 1, 101. Alternatively, the bases 10, 110 and the frame 11, 111 can be used as support for the waste bins 12, which are inserted inside the frame 11, 111 in a known way. 0

Claims (4)

1. A drawer installed inside a compartment produced in a piece of furniture and delimited by two lateral walls, each of which supports a side member that extends inside said compartment transverse to the lateral wall; the drawer; comprising a base; for overlaying each side member; wherein each base is a strip extending transversely towards the lateral wall along which the respective side members extends, to cover the respective side member in flat contacting engagement; wherein, each lateral wall supports a guide; wherein the drawer has a carriage movably mounted on said guide; said side member being a component of the carriage and being movable with respect to said guide; and wherein the bases together delimit a space inside the drawer; wherein the drawer further comprises a framework, which in turn comprises a frame installed on said bases so as to divide the space inside said drawer; wherein the frame is mounted for sliding together with the bases during the opening and closing movements of the drawer; wherein the frame has a rectangular perimeter and comprises two elongated lateral bodies parallel to each other and two bars parallel to each other that connect the longitudinal ends of the bodies to each other; wherein the dimensions of the bodies and of the bars are a function of the dimensions of the space inside the drawer; wherein each base comprises a vertical side member that in use is substantially parallel to the respective lateral wall; wherein the frame comprises two bars parallel to each other that connect the longitudinal ends of the vertical side members to each other; wherein the dimensions of the bars are a function of the dimensions of the space inside the drawer: wherein the frame comprises one or more dividers which are connected to the bodies or to the bars so as to divide the space inside the drawer according to requirements, for example to the dimensions of the waste bins to be hung; and wherein the bodies and the bars have grooves and the ends of each divider are mounted in a known way inside said grooves so that, in use, the position of each divider can be varied by the user according to requirements by sliding the divider along the grooves.

2. A drawer according to claim 1 further comprising one or more waste bins, each of which is inserted inside said compartment and is supported by said framework.

A framework for a drawer installed inside a compartment produced in a piece of furniture and delimited by two lateral walls, each of which supports a side member that extends inside said compartment transverse to the lateral wall wherein the framework comprises a base formed as a strip extending transversely towards the lateral wall along which the respective side extends to cover the respective side member in flat contacting engagement therewith; wherein the bases together delimit a space inside the drawer; and further comprising a frame installed on said bases so as to divide the space inside said drawer and to support, a plurality of bins; and wherein the frame is mounted for sliding together with the bases during the opening and closing movements of the drawer.

A framework according to claim 3, wherein the frame has a rectangular perimeter and comprises two elongated lateral bodies parallel to each other and two bars parallel to each other that connect the longitudinal ends of the bodies to each other; wherein the dimensions of the bodies and of the bars are a function of the dimensions of the space inside the drawer; wherein each base comprises a vertical side member that in use is substantially parallel to the respective lateral wall; wherein the frame further comprises two bars parallel to each other that connect the longitudinal ends of the vertical side members to each other; wherein the dimensions of the bars are a function of the dimensions of the space inside the drawer; wherein the frame comprises one or more dividers which are connected to the bodies or to the bars so as to divide the space inside the drawer according to requirements; and wherein the bodies and the bars have grooves and the ends of each divider are mounted in a known way inside said grooves be varied by the user according to requirements by sliding the divider along the grooves.
